New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

Morning! Thought I'd posted on this but obviously my message was lost

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/10/2012 09:26

Hmm You know that thing that happens on our thread sometime where you have a couple of days weeks off and you don't gain? Well it's my turn. I'm actually in shock.

It doesn't look great when you look at my line on the spread sheet but I'm happy with that.

Stoptober is ok thanks reastie. I had an off weekend 5 days in but I'm ok now I think. I'm spending all the money I've saved using the links and info on your Christmas thread. Grin

KatoPotato · 15/10/2012 10:58

My last day at work todayGrin. As of 6pm I will be a full time professional storytellerSmile.
(Short Story Lady is now a searchable public page on FB if any of you fancy a look).
I suspect there may be cake today, there will certainly be alcohol at my leaving do anyway. Back on it tomorrow, at least I had a big loss last week to balance this week's excess.

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/10/2012 07:25

I think you deserve not to worry about it today. Have a good time tonight.

reastie · 16/10/2012 07:59

Second viewing of house we've fallen for on Thursday, with a few more inbetween but meh...

Oblomov · 16/10/2012 11:33

In a good mood, having a good week with 'work' . Chicken and homemade wedges for tea.

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/10/2012 14:46

Afternoon everyone. It's so much easier to be good when you're busy. I had no time even for a coffee at work never mind snacking. It will be a good day today.

Chicken soup for tea.

Thanks everyone, it was a good last day (despite the fact I had to unblock a toiletBlush), and the leaving do was nice, I had 2 pints of beer, didn't eat the crisps that were all open on the table in front of us all evening. Stayed under calories, although I have a box of chocolates that will probably take me until Christmas to eat if I'm on formGrin. Lots of cycling today, I am getting business cards printed etc.
thanks everyone for looking at my page, it all helps with getting the word out.

Hello everyone

Weighed myself cheekily this morning and looks like I'm on track for a 1lb loss which has really perked me up as I was feeling down about last week not doing so well and how far I still have to go.

IMST glad you had a nice leaving 'do (and resisted the snacks)

eighty wow, well done your friend, that's amazing, although I'm not quite sure what is involved in a cave man diet...I'm imagining lots of foraged berries and slabs of meat!

kato hope the viewing goes well today

InMySpareTime · 18/10/2012 08:19

I'm still hereGrin,
I have a box of chocolate from my leaving do, I haven't even opened it!
I'm very busy with the business, I sent all the nursery parents to the FB page, now they're all engaging with my stories it's hard to keep up! Good busy though.
Might well weigh today, to see where I'm up to after all the cake this week, and all the exercise. Hopefully they'll balance.

TheOneWithTheHair · 18/10/2012 10:42

Morning everyone. Well done on hitting the 11st bracket eighty and for your 1lb loss reastie. I'm glad it's spurring you on as you are doing really well.

I'm birthday cake baking today so that should keep me busy. Dd wants a theatrical cake. Hmm

TheOneWithTheHair · 18/10/2012 14:25

Well. I've made a ginger and syrup cake and a chocolate cake and a batch of banana muffins and I only shaved a little bit off to check it tasted ok.

I've also made a cottage pie for dinner so quite a productive day around food. I've found I'm really not hungry now though. :)

reastie · 18/10/2012 14:30

Hair how very restrained of you to just have a shaving of a banana muffin. I am Hmm at the thought of a theatrical darrrrrhling cake Grin

I caved and bought a pack of chocolate coated nuts today. In my defence I got my blood test results back yesterday and I'm low in iron, which explains my exhaustion and general lethargy recently. I bought dark choc coated nuts as dark chocolate is high in iron isn't it?! Anyway, I've had 4, hoping that isn't going too crazy and I haven't ruined my weeks loss.

reastie · 18/10/2012 14:32

Has anyone got any ideas btw for good diet foods that are high in iron for me? I am vegetarian and can't eat beans and lentils due to IBS so struggling a bit with ideas apart from spinach!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 18/10/2012 14:36

Bran flakes?

KatoPotato · 18/10/2012 14:42

Hey guys! Hope your well! eighty you're nearly a 'baw hair' off 11 stone! Weigh in tomorrow for me... I'm aiming for 11st 1 then I'm into the tens! Me?

reastie · 18/10/2012 15:36

Oh yeah stealth forgot to add, I'm also gluten free!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 18/10/2012 15:39

is quorn high in iron?
