New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/10/2012 09:44

Morning everyone. No loss again for me. :(

I think that's going to be the status quo for a while as I have decided to do stoptober. I think if I can maintain in the first few weeks I'll be ok. I already want to eat to stop the cigarette cravings but I've decided that not smoking is more important at the moment. Wish me luck. :)

InfinityWelcomesCarefulDrivers · 01/10/2012 09:47

It is hair, and in the same way you can lose weight you CAN quit. Well done for starting on this and good luck - let us know how you're dpoing on that.

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/10/2012 09:50

Thanks Stealth.

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/10/2012 09:51

Oops sorry Infinity.

eighty that may have been me losing 2 stone since July. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I've looked at your stats and you're over 2 stone lighter than my current weight, so you're not comparing like with like - I have a shedload more than you to lose and because I weigh so much it seems to have come off easier than if I had less. When I was your weight in the past I had to work hard to just lose 1 lb a month, so don't think just because you haven't lost as much am I have you are failing - YOU'RE NOT! 5lb is good and slow and steady is good in the long run.Keep positive and remember (can't remember who said this to me originally on this thread but it's so true) this is a marathon not a sprint.

Good Morning Everyone! Welcome back Bonkey

The birthday excess is over... and being strict not to weigh until Friday again.

I've had:

Greggs Sausage roll
Greggs Cornflake cake x2
McCoys Crisps x 4
Salt and Pepper diced chicken with boiled rice and chips with curry sauce...
Prawn Crackers
Crispy Seaweed
Peking ribs
Marks & Spencer Cheese chicken toastie
A cupcake
500 cals worth of butterkist
full fat coke
Tony Roma's quater BBQ chicken with chips and coleslaw
Vice versas

Cancelled Saturday Spin.

And I've loved every bite!

I've had a lovely weekend though, and bought loads of lovely new clothes!

Back on it as of today, working late so will miss body pump, but going to go straight to gym after work meeting tonight (It's catered and usually involves curry!)

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/10/2012 11:28

Oh Kato that sounds fab! I'm salivating. Glad you had a good weekend as well.

eighty you sound pretty determined to me. Remember that when faced with your next temptation.

reastie I don't envy your starting building work. I don't think I've recovered from having the builders here. Mind you a 16 week job turned into a 51 week job. Hope yours goes more smoothly than that.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 01/10/2012 12:24

eighty I have lost about that too overall. I have lost more but then out it back on :(. Stick with it and we will get there!

Kato belated happy birthday! Sounds like you had a fab weekend! I am going to join you with a friday weigh in this week. I'm too scared to get on today!

KatoPotato · 01/10/2012 15:36

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

In other news I've shamelessly plagirised a tab from the low carb bootcamp spreadsheet and added it to ours to help convert stones and kg to pounds....

ssshhhh!!

Evening! I'm also back on it and have had a mini triumph already as I carried around a cupcake ALL DAY for ds and didn't feel like I was going to inhale it at any given moment and it survived until 3 seconds after leaving nursery seems ds may be like me

On a pants note I've put on 2lb and weighed in at 11st11 this morning. [Sad

Welcome back everyone who left for a few days and well done to everyone who has stuck it out and stayed, it's MM Wahoo! !

InMySpareTime · 02/10/2012 06:38

Well done MM for the cupcake fortitudeGrin,
I'm really looking forward to finishing work, I have 6 work days left, and finish in 15 days' time (I can't wait).
Being a storyteller will mean more time with my DCs, better quality of life for all of us, if less cash initially.
Someone noticed last night that I lost weight, she saw me hitching up my jeans (againBlush) and said "I can't believe you're losing even more weight, you're doing really well!", that made my evening.

MilkshakeMaker · 02/10/2012 07:44

That sounds lovely IMST, there can't be many things better than a job you love doing and with so many perks to it..wanna swap?

TheOneWithTheHair · 02/10/2012 07:54

Morning everyone.

I need a think thin Tuesday. Yesterday was not a good food day. Mil bought us a delicious huntsman's pie and dh and I ate the lot between us. Blush Not good.

InfinityWelcomesCarefulDrivers · 02/10/2012 08:09

Well, it was 2lb on yesterday - not too pleased but, when there's cake-y goodness in the house, it's sort of expected. Must try harder this week.

Went to spinning then did a nice leisurely walk on the treadmill. Spinning was good, I might not be losing weight, but my fitness is improving :)

MilkshakeMaker · 02/10/2012 15:28

That's good LV, I'm ashamed of my fitness levels so would be pleased as punch to improve them! Lol

How has everyone's days been? I've got 600 cals left for dinner and can't decide what I fancy. I've refused a home made Chelsea bun that a friends dd made at school today so that's 2 days in a row I've beaten my crave, I hope it lasts!

TheOneWithTheHair · 02/10/2012 16:45

Way to go Milkshake. :)

I'm the opposite. I haven't been careful at all this week. Funny thing is though that I can't believe I wasn't bigger when I think what I used to eat. I should have been enormous!! Shock
