New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

Have a brilliant birthday Kato.
I'm home alone tonight so I had a huge curry and naan bread and I have some wine.

I weigh in on a Friday for a reason. :o

InfinityWelcomesCarefulDrivers · 28/09/2012 20:26

Happy birthday Kato!
I will be back on motivational Monday. Think I have put on 3 or 4lb :(

Sounds like you've hit a plateau! Work though it

LollipopViolet · 28/09/2012 22:12

Happy birthday Kato :)

I'm having a rubbish week.

Also not helped by feeling a bit down about being unemployed and not knowing what I want to do with my life.

I made peanut butter squares yesterday, which are amazing, but not good for the diet!

InMySpareTime · 29/09/2012 06:26

Can someone update the formula for "total lost"? Mine at least is now stuck at week 2's loss.

MrsPnut · 29/09/2012 08:24

I'll look at it when I get on the desktop.
I'm laid in bed listening to 6music with a coffee. Can't decide what to have for breakfast or what to do with my day.

TheOneWithTheHair · 29/09/2012 08:40

Oh the luxury MrsPnut. I hate Saturdays. I spend all day taking various members of my family to different activities and picking them up again afterwards and trying to make sure they all get fed at some point in between.

Love Sundays though! :)

MrsPnut · 29/09/2012 08:53

It's a rare occurrence, dd2 is at a beaver sleepover with her dad volunteering as a parent helper until 3pm and dd1 stayed at a friends last night. She usually rocks up for dinner on a Saturday.

Tomorrow morning we've got rugby training.

TheOneWithTheHair · 29/09/2012 09:41

I hope you enjoy it then. It's all the more precious when it's rare. :)

InMySpareTime · 29/09/2012 18:36

I have had a busy day today, looked round secondary school open day for DS all morning, and in the afternoon I built a coconut shy and helped make a splat-the-rat. I am off out again in half an hour for a reunion of a parenting course I went on earlier this year. There had better be some nice food, because I am starving Grin.

TheBonkeyMollocks · 30/09/2012 15:59

Hello folks!
I'm just marking my place to get back on and join you tomorrow.
Feeling alot more positive and the last few days haven't been too bad food wise but as of tomorrow I am back to being abit more strict!

See you tomorrow! :)

InMySpareTime · 30/09/2012 16:08

See you tomorrow Bonkey.
I'm having a quiet afternoon after cycling DS to rugby training and back. I even avoided the burger van, and had a stir fry when I got back.

TheOneWithTheHair · 30/09/2012 17:06

Afternoon everyone. I've been busy buying skirting boards and paint. Ds2's new bedroom carpet arrives on Friday and the Walls are half way through painting, we have to attatch and paint all the skirting and architrave and it has to be dry by Friday so a busy few days coming up.

On the plus side, I haven't had time to think about food!

Welcome back Bonkey. :)

reastie · 30/09/2012 18:17

Hi bonkey

hair buying skirting boards? That sounds v ambitious along with the carpet/painting.

Things here going OK. Haven't had enough time to do much MFP recently, but hoping doing it for a few weeks means I know approx calories in things I regularly eat so mentally add things up. Made big batches of carrot, ginger and orange soup and pea and mint soup to have for dinner over the coming week and went to the gym this morning. Crossing fingers for weigh in tomorrow morning Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 30/09/2012 20:24

Well for the past 2.5yrs we've completely remodelled and extended our house. Only one room didn't change in stucture. All of the new bit is done and we are on the last three rooms now. Nearly done!!

InMySpareTime · 30/09/2012 20:47

Of course, once it's all done you get about a year's grace before bits start breaking againGrin. At least the expensive stuff is done.

LollipopViolet · 30/09/2012 23:01

Hmm, could potentially be a 3lb gain tomorrow - not happy about it, must try harder if that's the case :(

Am booked in for a Spinning class tomorrow morning, looking forward to it, even though it usually kills me!

InfinityWelcomesCarefulDrivers · 30/09/2012 23:19

Hi everyone
Lv, hope that's not the case :(
Like bonkey I am back tomorrow and feeling positive. Shame it has to take weeks of overeating and about 6lb on Shock to get me there, but I am hoping this is all part of the learning. I am genuinlely happier in myself when im in control of my eating with the odd day off than when I eat Crap and binge all the time. and that's excluding any weight gain / loss, that is simply abot how I feel day to day.
Sorry for selfish post. I will catch up tomorrow and am really gping to get back into this. I'll also update apreadsheet.

MrsPnut · 01/10/2012 06:43

Welcome back Infinity and Bonkey.

I've had quite a full weekend, despite having saturday morning to myself.

Oblomov · 01/10/2012 07:22

10 10 again. No loss. Hardly surprising really. Becasue I had 2 fast days. I say 'fast', but I did eat over the 500 calories.
But then Friday, I had a total binge. I ate 4 packets of walkers cheese and onion crisps, and 4 tesco's chocolate and mint round biscuits. What IS it about Chocolate and Mint, with Me?
I ate all of that in about 15 minutes. Not good.
I see I am not alone in my bingeing. I wonder why a few of us did it last week then?

I too wonder why no one makes comments to Reastie. Chins up Reastie Wink. ( I have, in the last year developed a second chin Sad.Women aren't soo competitive nowadays, that they wouldn't comment, surely?

Oblomov · 01/10/2012 07:25

That was supposed to be :
Chin s up, Reastie. As I said, I now have 2 chins, and dh has 3. And we tease eachother, ( when he says 'Chin up', I say, 'which one, the first or the second') but really, its not funny, if you are so overweight, that you are regularly gaining more chins, is it?
Anyway, was supposed to be a joke. Sorry about that.

reastie · 01/10/2012 07:35

oblomov I don't really even have a chin anymore - it's lost somewhere in my neck Hmm , so maybe neck up is more appropriate for me Grin

Had weigh in this morning and think I've lost 2 lbs Shock . V pleased with that I think. Nearly at the 3 stone mark since my heaviest weight last Christmas

infinity and bonkey hope things go well today on your first day back on it

lollipop hope the spin goes OK

hair Envy to you nearly finishing your place. We are hoping to do new roof, windows, take out a supporting wall, new kitchen/diner as minimum in the next year (if funds allow) - just the thought of it makes me slightly scared!

TheBonkeyMollocks · 01/10/2012 08:26

Morning!
Feel ok so far!

Who is Infinity ?

If its not Stealth i will have to hint her down!

InfinityWelcomesCarefulDrivers · 01/10/2012 08:38

Well done reastie :)
Sorry about no loss Oblomov, it must be hard after fast days to keep some control, that is one of the things that puts me off (same as slimming world type things) if I am given the green light to eat then I will binge :(
I read your comment "I too wonder why no one makes comments to Reastie." and had a slight panic that you meant us! :)
Yes, it is me Bonkey, must change back when I get a chance. I am feeling very motivated, mainly becase I have had however long of stuffing myself. I feel fat, bloated, windy, and ashamed of my lack of willpower. I also miss chatting on this thread, which is a big motivator for me. I basically want to get back in control. 12st1 at the moment, think I got dwn to 11st10 before :(
One thing I'm not looking forward to though is restarting shred :( Childcare arrangements have changed since last school year and I just don't seem to have the time I used to have in the morning (plus work has been really hectic). Am going to try to do it today, but ease myself in gently back on L1.
