New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

Good morning everyoneSmile,
I wonder what's in store today?
Yesterday two nursery parents, independently, and not knowing about my business venture, said I should do my own storiesGrin. I of course let them know I am doing just that (on the hush-hush of course, bad form to market in work hours).
I'm on the bike today so at least that'll get my heart rate going to start the day.

fuckadoodlepoopoo · 26/09/2012 08:25

Hi, this is PooPooOnMars. Can't seem to name change on my phone and also can't update the spreadsheet. Have just maintained this week so still 124. Would someone be able to update it for me?

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/09/2012 09:17

Done Mars. :)

LollipopViolet · 26/09/2012 09:18

Well, it's currently not raining where I am. So, I'm going to have breakfast, then pack my gym back, wrap up very warm and weather resistant, and go and work out! :)

The fact I'm excited about going to the gym scares me somewhat... Hmm

KatoPotato · 26/09/2012 10:49

Hi guys, I noticed this was no longer a 'thread I'm on' and realised I've been check-in tardy!

Not much to report, Body Pump on monday, skipped gym yesterday but going tonight after work then back later for my Pilates hit (literally ouch!)

Food not been great, a few crisps here and there... and there... and there....

But its my birthday this weekend, so can I please hand in my diet holiday request form for Friday? Chinese!!!!

reastie · 26/09/2012 17:05

IMST it's like it's meant to be Grin

lollipop love the comment re: worried you're looking forward to the gym!

kato happy birthday for this week end.

Good new and bad news here today - good news was I went to the gym, bad (ish) new was my Mum was making hints about that I should lose some weight (I think) Angry . I have told no one in RL I'm trying to lose weight in anticipation that someone will notice and comment that I have. Not a single person has. In the past year I've lost 2.5 stone, since July I've lost over half of that. I know I still have alot to go but it would be so nice for someone to notice or comment Sad

InMySpareTime · 26/09/2012 19:10

I'm having a good week food-wise, finding it easier to stop when I'm full even if it means leaving food on my plate. My weight loss seems to have slowed down to 1lb a week, I'd ideally like 2 a week.
MFP keeps telling me off for eating too few calories but I don't want to eat if I'm not hungry so I've mostly been ignoring it.

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/09/2012 20:50

reastie I think that when I lose weight I feel fatter first. I know that sounds odd but if your clothes are baggy now it could be making you seem bigger. Keep going and they will notice in the end. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

IMST I would love to lose even a pound a week atm. You're doing great! Poor grammar deliberate by the way, you pedant you.
Grin

InMySpareTime · 26/09/2012 21:05

Hair I have a lot more to lose than you, I am over halfway to losing the 3 stone that will get me out of "obese" to merely "overweight". I have rediscovered my love of proper food, and the lovely feeling of stopping eating when nicely full, not overfull.
I ran all the way to church to collect DD from brownies because I was late (about 0.5 mile), I couldn't have done that before.

DorsetKnob · 26/09/2012 21:08

I have name changed, still here, not feeling the love on the scales, sick DD for nearly two weeks and disrupted nights. Will come back on Monday, I am not MAD any more.

I'm failing this week, I keep bingeing and not sticking to meal planners. I'm at my sisters for her birthday tonight and its date night on sat which will only be our second childfree evening alone in the just over 9 months we've been together so we're planning on letting our hair down! and I'm thinking of scrapping it all and coming back on monday because I keep feeling worse and worse about failing. Feel like poo.

I am 100% set on losing at least a stone before xmas so I am not giving up, just taking a few days off, Good luck for the rest of the week to everyone left see you all on monday!

sleepychunky · 27/09/2012 12:36

Hi everybody, just realised I haven't posted since Monday. reastie I can actually believe you as I'm in a similar situation. I've lost nearly 2 stone since July but I think that because I'm still wearing my old clothes people haven't noticed. I'm planning on a bit of a shopping splurge once I hit 2 stone (only 4 pounds to go) and then I think people will finally notice!
Anyway, at work so can't stop. Will check in later - bye for now

TheOneWithTheHair · 27/09/2012 18:24

Evening all.

Milkshake enjoy your date! See you on Monday.

Bad day here. Totm so I've been craving chocolate for two days and gave in this afternoon. I had a feast from the ice cream van. Seriously bad move because I just want more now. :(

I'm sure I'll do better tomorrow.

MrsPnut · 27/09/2012 19:13

Evening,
I haven't been here for ages, a combination of starting back at work and still being unwell.

Reastie, I've lost almost 2.5 stone and the only person that can tell is me. When I lost 5 stone before, people started to notice when I had lost more than 3 stone but I did lighter life so it went very quickly. If you are losing it gradually (which is the right way) then there isn't too much difference when they see you from one time to the next.

I've got WI tomorrow morning and I have tried to drink less wine this week she says hiding a glass behind her monitor so I'm hoping to have lost something.

MrsPnut · 28/09/2012 06:46

Me again, I weighed this morning and have lost another 2 points. I have another 2 to go to be in the next stone bracket down.

TheOneWithTheHair · 28/09/2012 07:26

Well done MrsPnut. :)

Good luck any Friday weighers.

reastie · 28/09/2012 07:34

Thanks for the reassurance on no one noticing I've lost weight. I can't blame clothes being too big sadly as I'm wearing my big old clothes but also smaller sized stuff too. I think it might be as I gained 4/5 stone in around 2 years through pg and bfing, so I guess I still look alot bigger than my norm IYKWIM. If I can get a stone less for christmas though [hopeful] I'll be around a stone away from looking more my normal self. I was thinking back to when I've dieted in the past and lost weight - I didn't really eat much at all - slim people really do just not eat so much don't they!

Well done mrspnut and good luck for any weighers today

theone today is a new day to start afresh after chocolategate yesterday Grin

InMySpareTime · 28/09/2012 09:52

I just weighed in, 12st 2lb, that's 3lb less than mondayGrin, I feel a bit better about going to a coffee morning later (there will be cake). I am going to cycle a fair bit today so will still be under calories anyway.
I have a brisket in the oven for dinner, it smells delicious
What are you lot up to?

KatoPotato · 28/09/2012 10:10

One pound down. I'm pleased. Lots of crisps this week! Went to update MFP and it already thought I was 11st 5... So no hip hip hoorays there!

11 5! That's still unbelievable to me!

KatoPotato · 28/09/2012 10:11

Also tried to update the sheet using iPhone... Can someone check I've done it right! (159 by my calculations) xx

TheOneWithTheHair · 28/09/2012 10:22

Well done IMST and Kato that's fantastic. Yes I get it to 159 too. Hopefully that will be me next week. :)

reastie · 28/09/2012 15:00

kato 11 stone 5 is ace - well done. Well done to all losers/maintainers.

Not great here today. Was going so well until came back from work at lunch time and DD wouldn't go down for her nap (still hasn't blinking slept) meaning I took her for an epic walk for nearly an hour (actually, that;s a good thing isn't it!) but got so hungry as I didn't get near food until after 2:30. Had a bowl of cereal for lunch Hmm as easiest thing to hand. Still feel hungry though so this afternoon will be a battle of wills between me and my tummy!

KatoPotato · 28/09/2012 15:49

Thanks guys but its my birthday blowout tonight! Which is why Friday weigh days are so good!

TheOneWithTheHair · 28/09/2012 17:31

Have a great birthday Kato. :)
