New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

eighty and IMST exactly the same here - I think I still think I look in my head like I did when I was pre preg - then I see pictures of myself and I actually can't believe that's what other people see when they see me Blush

Things here rubbish today - had awful headache and IBS yesterday evening (think it's over tired/stressed/clenching my jaw all the time) so ate a bit more than I should. Didn't sleep well again last night and headache still there and feeling very hungry (today will be a hungry day - I just know it). I'm so shattered from going back to work a couple of weeks ago and DD being up alot recently at night and various work based stresses - I need a holiday! Sadly no chance of one until next summer, so, in the mean time, just get through the week end and try to relax and give myself a couple of days off on the losing weight - I won't go and eat tons of chocolate but I also won't calorie count everything - I know I may regret it but I'm giving myself a couple of days off. Sorry for me me me comment, just need a bit of sympathy - have to see PILs this week end too Confused

Right well the three of you have just ruined my life long denial that photos are how everyone actually sees you. In that case I am never eating againor just never having my photo taken which is more likely

I've weighed twice this morning but there was a 4lb difference so will just wait for monday and take that as my answer. I've caught up with the thread since I left now so dont feel left out. The junk mail game is a very good idea, though I have a weeks worth waiting to be binned next to the front door so shall be squatting til the middle of next week!

Please can someone write me an excuse note for spin class?? I've got the dreads!

StealthPolarBear · 22/09/2012 20:19

Dear sir or madam, please excuse Kato from spin class, she has the dreads. She will be fully motivated again on Monday, along with stealth , who will be facing jillians disappointed stare. Love and snuggle, stealthy xx

Thanks stealth but I made it! Nearly died during the sprint to 'I need a hero' again... But I channelled my inner johnny five!

Also a fellow spinner burst a blister during class and liquid goo was everywhere... Conversely I think this is the class my BIL warned me about being a swingers group...

KatoPotato · 22/09/2012 21:37

Ps stealth I'm totally getting my Jillian back on Monday too...

One session does not maketh shredded!!

InMySpareTime · 23/09/2012 06:55

Good morning everyoneSmile,
How is everyone doing today?

InMySpareTime · 23/09/2012 11:31

Where is everyone?

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/09/2012 12:10

I'm still here. Really busy putting bedrooms back together. I'm taking the younger dcs to see a show with Andy from cbeebies this pm.

Good thing about being busy is no snacking. I'm almost optimistic about weigh in tomorrow but knowing this thread I'll probably have gained! Confused

reastie · 23/09/2012 13:28

Quickie - anyone here a size 22?

TheBonkeyMollocks · 23/09/2012 16:31

Hello all, just popping in to say that Im nite doing so great. This weekend as been shocker mood and food wise.

Nothing bad has happened but I am just not in the right frame of.mind for this at the.moment.

So I am going to hide this thread and guilt for the time being until Im back to.me! Maybe a few days, may be a week, I don't know, but I will be back because I really do want this weight gone!

You are all doing so well. Keep up the good work and I will see you all shortly!

InMySpareTime · 23/09/2012 16:55

I hope you get back to us sooner rather than later Bonkey

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/09/2012 17:25

reastie I can't help sorry.

Bonkey I hope you get back into it soon!!
We'll be here. :)

reastie · 23/09/2012 18:24

bonkey I hope we see you back here soon

I only asked re: size 22 as I have a pair of 3/4 length M&S joggers I bought and never used as they were too big (I'd say a generous size 22 rather than tight) when I bought them and since then I've lost more weight so are no good. I took off the tags so can't return. Let me know if anyone here will fit into them and I'll gladly send them - it'll be an added incentive for weight loss too for you too - no excuse that you don't have the right gear to exercise Grin

Went to Rigby and Peller today for a new bra - since last time I went (possibly up to a year ago) I've gone down a back and cup size and they now stock sports bras that fit me - yeah! (last time I was too big for any of their sports bras and felt really embarrassed) Have come home alot lighter in the pocket but much better supported in the bosom Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/09/2012 18:27

Grin @ reastie!

sleepychunky · 24/09/2012 06:48

Morning everyone and sorry for absence last few days - just got too much going on atm! I haven't done the junk mail challenge yet because my back is still really bad after I hurt it on Wednesday. I had a bit of a bad day yesterday as we were at MIL's house for a party for BIL's birthday, so I succumbed to rather a lot more than I was planning. But I've still managed to put a loss on our Google spreadsheet (although kato got there before me - thought I'd be first today!)
I'm really going to make this week a good one. I'm supposed to go to zumba tonight but I don't think that's going to be a good idea as my back isn't better, and that means I won't have any "organised" exercise this week.
Hope you are all up and motivated this morning Smile

InMySpareTime · 24/09/2012 07:02

I'm up, my first work day since handing in my notice. We'll see how much hit the fan on FridayGrin.
I am amazed I stayed within calories yesterday, I went to a christening party, had lots of salad, 2 small glasses of wine, and a bit of cake.
I will have an active day today as usual, 3 floors of building to bring the nursery shopping up, and the usual lifting, carrying, tidying, standing.
4 weeks left.

MilkshakeMaker · 24/09/2012 07:03

Morning, so scales are saying 11.9 it's really 11.999999999999999999 but sounds much better my way I had a terrible day yesterday, doughnuts got the better of me but it seems something must have been in the air as a few of us wobbled.

On that note Bonkey, we're here when you are ready, come back soon!

Oblomov · 24/09/2012 07:24

Morning. Have finally weighed. 10 10. Was a bit worried that I was lettting the side down, with a) not weighing, so not entering any data on the spreadsheet and b) being the only one who seems to be putting on weight, instead of losing.
My mum phoned and has been doing the 5:2 thing since beginning of summer. I am going to try it too.
Is it allright if i stay here though. I have always been incapable of sticking to anything, so I don't see why the 5:2 will be any different.

MilkshakeMaker · 24/09/2012 07:30

Course it is Oblomov, I keep doing the fast days just to get me back on track as when I fail I'm still doing really well on cals for the day.

reastie · 24/09/2012 07:38

Oblomov yes stay Grin - even if the 5:2 thing isn't for you, if you keep coming back here if will motivate you to keep at it and try different things until you find something which does work for you.

Somehow I managed to lose 1lb this past week - yeah! This is great (IMO) considering I haven't been to the gym once and have been pretty much just over my calorie allowance all week. I put it down to it being so cold and not relenting yet with the heating so I'm shivering away extra calories Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 24/09/2012 07:56

I'm fed up now. I tried so hard last week. And I didn't bloody lose anything!!

I mean what's the point? I put in so much effort and I didn't work. I don't even know what to do now. I still 3lbs away from losing a stone from the very first thread in June. It's not good. :(

InMySpareTime · 24/09/2012 08:00

Hair don't despair, you look better and thinner than you did at the start, and it's harder to lose the last few pounds than the first few. Also, you've ramped up the exercise recently, so will be building muscle as you lose fat (which can end up scale-neutral). Stick with it, it'll go eventually.

reastie · 24/09/2012 08:08

hair I know it sounds cliche but it's true that muscle weighs more than fat so even though you might not be seeming to lose weight it doesn't mean you're not getting leaner, stronger and fitter. Plus the weigh in this morning could be a random day with water retention - I've put on over 3lbs some mornings as a one off which went the next day - try weighing yourself again tomorrow and see.
