New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

Well done MrsPnut. Grin

Ok it has been

Breakfast: Belvita
Afternoon snack: breakfast bar
Dinner: a proper meal

Very, very lacking in vitamins. I've not had any fruit since the satsumas earlier in the week.

StealthPolarBear · 14/09/2012 09:49

Sound like me :) btw I have defected to the kellogs breakfast biscuits. Nicer imo.

I've added my 2lb loss! to the spreadsheet! Yesterday was a fast day that was taking bites out of DS's aldi pizza and half his pom bears with a protein shake breakfast...

No exercise yesterday though.

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/09/2012 10:23

Well you've done so well Stealth that I shall take heart.

Off to bed now. (working last night) I'm out for my wedding anniversary tonight but I feel I will make good choices. Have a good day everyone.

KatoPotato · 14/09/2012 10:26

Gah sorry Stealth, didn't notice funeral day :( Hope it all goes as well as can be expected.

I'm taking Mum and 88yr Nana to Leeds (from Glasgow) on Monday to my Uncle's Funeral. Should be a hoot - We get to ride the assistance buggy!

KatoPotato · 14/09/2012 10:49

OMG... Just found this site:

foodgawker.com/

reastie · 14/09/2012 13:56

stealth hope it's going OK. Thinking of you.

Weighed myself this morning and finally in the 14 stones - just - 14 st 13 3/4 lbs! I did have a dodgy tummy in the night though so I'm not logging it quite yet on the spread sheet - will wait and see in the next couple of days what I am

kato hope Monday goes OK

MrsPnut · 14/09/2012 15:00

Foodgawker looks great but the recipe I really want to try uses 2 boxes of cake mix :( I have never bought a box of cake mix and I am not about to start.

I'll have to have a tinker about and see if I can replicate them using proper ingredients.

reastie · 14/09/2012 15:23

Which one is it mrspnut ?

MrsPnut · 14/09/2012 15:40

these

InMySpareTime · 14/09/2012 16:05

I made a drum kit cake for DS's birthday (pic on my profile).
He doesn't know I made him a cake, it'll be a surprise, he does know about the real drum kit they're picking up tomorrow.
I'm 12 6 this morning, will see what I am on Monday.
I did lots of cycling today then negated it with a cheese and ham panini but didn't eat any cake or icing while I was making the cake.
I may have a slice of chocolate cake later, it's been in the cupboard since Tuesday, I actually forgot it was thereGrin How times have changed!

MrsPnut · 14/09/2012 16:17

That looks great IMST, I hope he loves it. :o

KatoPotato · 14/09/2012 16:28

Brilliant IMST... on both counts!

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/09/2012 16:59

It's fab IMST! :)

reastie · 14/09/2012 18:14

IMST how inventive - love it Grin

mrspnut never seen anything like those

LollipopViolet · 14/09/2012 20:30

Bleugh, going to be in the gym hideously early tomorrow. I am not a morning person, but if it means not waiting for the bus in the cold, I'll tolerate the early start.

InMySpareTime · 15/09/2012 07:29

LV hope your gym session went well.

Good morning everyoneSmile
I feel better in myself today, but nobody told my nose I'm better, it's streaming like anything.
I have a training day at work today, I'll be the one sniffing and nose blowing at the back Sad.
Still, at least I'm going on a car-based treasure hunt afterwards, and I get to see DS's new drum kit all set up in his room (he's very excited, he roped DD into helping tidy his floor Shock without being asked).
What do you lot have planned today?

KatoPotato · 15/09/2012 09:03

I'm spinning at 1030... Need to dig deep!!

MilkshakeMaker · 15/09/2012 09:16

Morning!

I've been really really good thurs and yesterday, Dp is at a wedding in the middle of nowhere this weekend so predicting a well behaved weekend too as he won't be around to wave forbidden foods in front of me.

We're going on holiday next week and I really don't want to have a week off but sort of feel it ruins it if I'm cal counting, what do you wonderful ladies suggest?

Spinning?? Body Pump?? You lot are far, far more adventurous than me, walk and occasional bike ride to work is hard work for me!

LollipopViolet · 15/09/2012 09:43

I've not been to the gym yet, had to do some little bits first. Weighed myself and think I'll be celebrating on Monday :)

StealthPolarBear · 15/09/2012 10:40

Love the drum kit cake - hope he likes the real thing too :)
MM I'm the same. I do (or rather did) shred, but my only other real exercise was when I used to leave my car at work and walk to my hotel in the centre of york, then the opposite the next morning. As the nights get darker though, won't be doing that much from now.
Funeral went well, it was a lovely service and they had some fantastic pictures of him up. But I couldn't get over the fact that he should have been there boring everyone with his stories about when he came off his motorbike and had to have plates in his leg, or when he had his ear cut open to remove a lump (he enjoyed the medical stories :)). I also got upset when the vicar talked about ending his pain and suffering, yes, he was obviously suffering at the end but I felt that was something he said in every funeral of an elderly person, and my grandpa was not, in general, in pain or suffering. He loved life. Apparently the "climbing on the roof of his caravan" thing was in August.
Anyway, sorry to be so depressing. Diet was off yesterday, off again today and will be off tomorrow Blush as it's DD's party. Never mind, back on to it on Monday with a vengeance!
Kato, hope Monday goes OK, sounds like a very long journey for you as well.

Morning everyone! Spin done! It was a different instructor and I actually thought I might pass out but thankfully everyone did and the consensus was that it was a toughy!

Stealth, I fear a bit of generic funeral chat pops up every time and I hope our fella treads carefully on Tuesday! Train tickets have cost a bomb! I'm at a calorie deficit this afto so reckon a v light lunch and a treaty dinner!

LollipopViolet · 15/09/2012 17:05

I went to the gym, and did some extra walking round town with my boyfriend :) Which is good because we shared a pizza for lunch Blush but we didn't eat it all so there's hope for Monday still :)

reastie · 15/09/2012 18:39

Could I please thank kato as I was all set to put off the gym till tomorrow then saw her post saying she was digging deep for spin today so thought if she can manage so can I and I did an epic workout burning 460 kcals (I have no idea if this is alot for fit people, but for me it's a pb). I even managed the plank for 30 seconds non stop (again, rubbish for fit people but good for me)

stealth I'm so glad everything went 'well' (if it can go well).
