New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

Wahhh!! Scary face!!

Wardrobe clear outs rock

KatoPotato · 13/09/2012 11:00

I did a fair few five second drop to knees though...

InMySpareTime · 13/09/2012 11:00

Good luck Hair , I will not be exercising today, I spent 10 minutes psyching myself up to walk to the kitchen for a cup of tea.

KatoPotato · 13/09/2012 11:07

Good luck hair aqua aerobics sounds fun and tough!

reastie · 13/09/2012 12:26

Theonewiththehair how was aqua aerobics? Hope you enjoyed it.

kato wow to the 3 mins of plank - I only managed 20 seconds before I collapsed at the gym on Tuesday Blush

My work timetable has altered slightly, it means in a few weeks I may be able to do bodypump before work once a week - I've done it a little a few years ago and remember it was a bit scary hard even with teeny weights - anyone here that does it? Can someone who really isn't very fit at all and very overweight manage it?

MumOfAPickle · 13/09/2012 12:45

Afternoon all. Well done all on exercise classes and wardrobe clear-outs. I've just come back from a morning out with DD and I'm ravenous. I mean like properly, weak at the knees hungry. This is my main problem with dieting, I can't get from meal to meal without feeling starving inbetween and then my motivation crumbles. So, I've had a packet of M&S popcorn (2 points) and am now battling not to wolf down the rest of DD's cheese toastie. I'm going to put her to bed & then do davina dvd & then eat lunch. This thread is definitely help motivate me! What time for weigh in tomorrow?

InMySpareTime · 13/09/2012 13:57

I felt a bit better this afternoon, so cycled to the drum shop to sort out DS's birthday present for Monday.
The shop closed at lunchtimeSad.
I'm exhausted now, and haven't actually achieved anything through wearing myself out.
At least I got some exercise today I hate colds, how can tiny viruses floor me so easily?

TheOneWithTheHair · 13/09/2012 14:07

Afternoon all.

I hope you feel better soon IMST. I hate having a cold. :(

Well aqua aerobics was great. I loved it but I think my arms will be dead tomorrow! It wasn't too hard though but I feel really up for having done some proper exercise iyswim.

I met two lovely women there who have encouraged me to do a body balance class before the aqua aerobics on Monday so I've booked in for two classes. Shock hope I survive. Has anyone done body balance.

reastie they also said that body pump is a brilliant fat burner but not too bouncy.

Food wise I'm doing well this week so I really hope to see some reward for all my efforts. I may have to weigh before school rather than after on Monday now because that class is at 9:30.

MumOfAPickle · 13/09/2012 14:17

Yes INST when I've got a cold all I want to do is curl up and eat so you're going great guns to have got on a bike! And absolutely just see it as an exercise session!
theonewiththehair 2 classes!? Right that's it I'm signing up for zumba

TheOneWithTheHair · 13/09/2012 14:21

Grin Go for it!!

reastie · 13/09/2012 14:31

theone I've nearly done body balance a few times at the gym but always chickened out as tbh I'm really not sure what it is - it sounds a bit like pilates???? Let me know what exactly it's like!

KatoPotato · 13/09/2012 15:43

I do body pump on a Monday and I love it! Body balance is a mix of Pilates yoga and something else! It'll be core strength so expect planks!!!

reastie · 13/09/2012 16:55

Kato how long did it take you on weekly body pump before you could walk down the stairs the next day without being in too much pain [bad flashbacks]

KatoPotato · 13/09/2012 18:47

Three weeks tops! I'm actually a not disappointed when I do make it downstairs without incident! Do it!!

reastie · 13/09/2012 19:41

Nut fluff - kato my MIL chilcare work issues have had a bit of a bashing today - won't be able to do bodypump pre work Sad - could do it at week ends though Hmm but I know that ones a popular one so will need to book in first thing this Saturday for the following week

sleepychunky · 13/09/2012 20:13

Hi all, just checking in after a couple of days of radio silence. Have been busy with work and DH working night shifts. A friend came round last night who I hadn't seen since the beginning of July before I started on MFP, and she instantly commented that I looked really good, so that was really nice Smile
DH is on a night shift again tonight and I'm on my own, so have stuck Mamma Mia on the TV and just getting dinner ready (last night's leftovers!) and looking forward to just chilling out a bit.

InMySpareTime · 14/09/2012 06:17

Good morning everyoneSmile,
I need to buy DS's present today (a drum kit), hopefully the weather will settle down before I go on my bike.
Who weighs today? Are Friday weights going under Monday's date on the spreadsheet?

MrsPnut · 14/09/2012 06:52

Morning,
I need to weigh in this morning but right now I am watching the final Chris Moyles show on the red button and I don't know when I will be able to prise myself away.

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/09/2012 07:47

Hope it goes ok today Stealth.

Another good day for me yesterday. I'm not putting what I've eaten because although it's low cal I think it's not particularly healthy. Blush

Shock Only 14 weeks. Omg!!

MrsPnut · 14/09/2012 08:24

Hope it goes OK Stealth, thinking of you and your family.

I took a deep breath and weighed myself, I've lost 2 of the 3lb that i put on last week but I haven't been especially restrained this week. I start back at work on monday so that might stop the mid afternoon looking in the fridge.

StealthPolarBear · 14/09/2012 08:39

Thanks everyone .
Well doe mrspnut!
Hair I am intrigued now, tell us, we won't judge much
