New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

Afternoon.

So far today I have had a fresh banana milkshake (182 cals) , and have a roast chicken planned for dinner. I'm thinking I may just have chicken, stuffing and veg with gravy and skip the fattening, greasy bloody yummy roasties and yorkie puds!

Hi MumOfAPickle

Not boasty Stealth ! You should be proud of what you have achieved!

Well done poo still chickle when I write your name Grin

InMySpareTime · 12/09/2012 14:09

I'd ditch the stuffing and have roast carrot or parsnip instead. Stuffing is surprisingly calorific.
Roast sweet potato is a good alternative to potato, it cooks faster too.

reastie · 12/09/2012 14:15

IMST isn't it always the way re: the phone!

poopoo well done on the non fatty face - we now have to wear name cards at work round our necks with our photo on. They were taken in July. I look awful - it literally looks like I've eaten 3 people Blush . I keep looking at it to shame me into motivation!

I think I'll be up to 200kcals over my MFP again today. Still within the maintain allowance though so hopefully no damage done. I left my salad at work when I came home for the day at lunch time so had to opt for an egg and mushroom sandwich Hmm

In other non weight loss news - I found a big large insect in my shopping bag last week from my online supermarket delivery. It looked like a cockroach Shock but I can't be 100%. Whatever it was it shouldn't have been there! I emailed sainsburys and it took them 6 days to reply and when they did they just fobbed me off with an £18 voucher Angry . I've rung environmental health about it as if there's a problem I don't want other people getting bugs in their shopping too.

TheOneWithTheHair · 12/09/2012 14:15

Afternoon everyone. I've just spent 2 1/2 hrs up a wobbly stepladder scraping wallpaper from dd's room. That's got to be reasonable exercise. I'm booked in for my first aqua aerobics tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous.

I love a midweek roast. I'm Envy.

BonkeyMollocks · 12/09/2012 14:16

IMST I know, but I bloody love it Blush . I cannot have roast chicken without it, its a crime! T'is only sage and onion, no sausagemeat. Tries to redeem self .

Have parsnips and carrots as well.

Have factored all cals in before I ate anything else today. I have it down as 602.

reastie · 12/09/2012 14:17

theone I used to do water aerobics - it's fab - I loved it. Don't be nervous - you don't have to be that coordinated and it's really nice on your joints being in the water. It looks a bit odd from out of the water but you do feel like you're really working if you have a good instructor

TheOneWithTheHair · 12/09/2012 14:50

Thanks reastie. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow. :)

LollipopViolet · 12/09/2012 17:10

I'm back from holiday. And, amazingly, I weighed today, and am back at 12st 12 after putting 2lbs on before I went...

InMySpareTime · 12/09/2012 17:25

Hi LV did you have a good time? We now have a spreadsheet showing our losses, to keep track of what losers we all areGrin.
Look back through the thread for the link.

LollipopViolet · 12/09/2012 17:32

I had a lovely time, thank you IMST :)

I shall have a look at the spreadsheet now :)

reastie · 12/09/2012 18:26

Nuts, the day was going averagely bad and then I just got one of my IBS attacks where only eating will help and had to eat a yoghurt, some oat muesli, some rice cakes and a fruit/nut bar. OK it's not that 'bad' in what I chose but it means 150ish kcals over MFP allowance has gone up by another at least 300 kcals Sad

LollipopViolet · 12/09/2012 19:41

Hope no one minds, but I've added myself to the spreadsheet :)

I'd like to break out of 180 range next week - although I've not got much time lol :) Gym tomorrow - yay! :)

slothprincess · 12/09/2012 20:13

Hullo all
What busy bees you've been while I've been stuffing my face trying to get back on the wagon! I'm massively impressed with the spreadsheet :) I've taken the liberty of putting myself on there (weight pre-binge as I daren't get back on the scales). Have I done it right? The percentage thingy at the end is blank.
Hope everyone is doing ok. There's some impressive exercise and willpower being demonstrated here. I hope you inspirational lot can force me back on the wagon some time soon before I undo all my hard work!

TheOneWithTheHair · 12/09/2012 20:40

Welcome back lollipop hope you had a good holiday.

I can't help with the percentages. You'll have to ask one of the clever people. Grin

StealthPolarBear · 12/09/2012 22:05

You lot had lost me another 10lb :o easiest 10lb I've ever lost! But even with that added back on it still says I've lost about third of my starting weight!! not too far off I suppose

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 12/09/2012 22:08

But thank you Blush I am grateful to you lot for putting me on there :)

PooPooOnMars · 12/09/2012 22:33

I don't think sage and onion stuffing is too bad really. I LOVE that stuff!

PooPooOnMars · 12/09/2012 22:34

(no one else has noticed my non fat face yet, perhaps Im deluding myself)

StealthPolarBear · 12/09/2012 22:48

I don't think people tend to comment on how fat your face is or isn;t looking :) can be touchy

OP posts:
InMySpareTime · 13/09/2012 06:51

I got a "thinner round the face" comment from a friend, and a "wow, you go in at the middle!" [proud] Perhaps I just have very forthright friendsGrin.
I have a cold (again), it comes of hanging round with snotty toddlers all day. I'll have a quiet day on the sofa and try to rest it off before Saturday, which is very busy. I could do without a cold then.
Our combined weight loss is more than any one of our individual weightsGrin.

PooPooOnMars · 13/09/2012 08:07

A few months ago a friend was talking about a friend of theirs who always puts weight straight on their face and then looked at me . . . and lingered just that bit too long!

MilkshakeMaker · 13/09/2012 08:48

Well its mid week weigh in and i'm still the same as monday.. I guess its good to maintain rather than put on but was really hoping to loose a lb and be at a milestone (would have been 11.7 if i had)

Oh well, Should get off my arse and do some exercise really!!

KatoPotato · 13/09/2012 09:45

Good morning! I have Pilates pain (but I did a beastin shoulder stand and a three minute plank) and its fast day! Gulp!

Love that everyone like the spreadsheet! Thanks to pnut for correcting my bum formulae! Haven't we done well! :)

Milkshake... Try weighing on a Friday... I'm converted! (and only Friday!)

slothprincess · 13/09/2012 10:32

Well I just had a big try on of all the clothes in my wardrobe and had a bit of a clear out. I wish I'd done this last week when I was just starting to fall off the wagon and it's given me a huge incentive to get back on it. I've got some work bits that fit but others that would look and feel much better if I lost 7 or 8 pounds.

TOWTH, thanks for the kick Grin Much appreciated!

I've got a friend coming round for lunch today and after that I am back on MFP and back to feeling motivated and back in the zone! RAWH! (War cry against my fat face!)

TheOneWithTheHair · 13/09/2012 10:57

Kato three minutes Shock. Thats bloody good going. My longest was 90 seconds and I'd probably do about 20 if I tried to do it now.

Anyway off to aqua aerobics. Wish me luck! :)
