Here is the new, shiny thread. Only three weeks or so to go until we swing into really strict mode!

Hello! Feeling so much better now I'm back on the LC way. Two games I netball last night as well. BIWI which gym do you go to? The David Lloyd has staff wearing t-shirts advertising their new menu. It suggests lower carbs, says stuff about eating paleo etc on them so I'll be interested to see what the actual menu contains when they launch it. It said something about 30% only should be carbs on one t-shirt - we shall see!

L - three egg omelette with broccoli, mushroom and cheese!

halfthesize · 13/09/2012 15:08

Afternoon all, just caught up on the thread.

All I can think about is eating crisps today, no idea whyConfused

vnmum just wondered how the IF was going weight loss wise? I have not had breakfast this week, mainly no time and dont fancy it, but also wanted to see if it helps me start dropping the weight as I seemed to have stalled.

Egg salad for lunch and low carb chilli and salad for dinner.

TellMeLater · 13/09/2012 16:00

Here you go goddess Cream cheese pancakes

WillieWaggledagger · 13/09/2012 16:23

will have to try the cream cheese pancakes. they might be good savoury for recipes like this www.raymondblanc.com/recipes/baked-pancakes-with-spinach-cream-gruy%C3%A8re.aspx or spinach and ricotta

or used as canneloni...

TellMeLater · 13/09/2012 16:34

That looks good willie Hugh added some very nice ham to the spinach mixture which you couldn't argue with.

vnmum · 13/09/2012 16:37

half The fasting had helped me lose but then I had a bad weekend of carbs and alcohol and put it all back on again although after my fast on tuesday it had come off again. I am fasting again today and now is the time I start to get hungry. DH has had some news at work that isn't what he wanted and has just text me saying he wants to fall into a pile of stodge. I will have to have a strong resolve to not be swayed if he brings stuff home and I am hungry. I have got meat in the fridge that needs eating today and it is too much for just me so was waiting for him to come home to share it for tea.

TellMeLater · 13/09/2012 16:38

Obviously you be advised to not add sweetener or cinnamon to savoury versions, unless you're Heston.

vnmum · 13/09/2012 16:48

small world goddess Smile

WillieWaggledagger · 13/09/2012 16:54

I have had a day of meetings and organising someone to come and deal with the flood of raw sewage in our garden (don't ask) and could eat an entire choc fudge cake right now but will limit myself to a square of Lindt 90% and the recorded episode of revenge from Monday

BIWI · 13/09/2012 17:24

MrsHP - yes, I go to the David Llloyd. My trainer has been involved in the weight loss stuff, and it's all based on low carb. He is a great advocate of it. (Which makes things a lot easier for me!)

30 Bananas a Day Diet? Hey don't knock it till you've tried it! One thing this WOE has taught me is not to prejudge anyones way of eating. If someone had told me that eating belly of pork with creamy celeriac mash would lead to weight loss I'd have thought they were mad. All anyone can do us what works god them. I just lucky to have found this way suits me.

BIWI · 13/09/2012 17:32

Well yes. But 30 bananas is hardly going to be a sustainable way of eating, is it?!

OP posts:
captainmummy · 13/09/2012 17:35

Hi vnmum and Golden- I used to live in Amesbury, (Countess road) went to school in Durrington; mum and dsis now live in Warminster - raaaally not nearly so naice!

I made a cream cheese pancake today, the intention was to use it as a base for a pizza-type creation. Well I think my eggs were too small, as it didn't hold together, and when i put it under the grill the mozzarrella and pesto-topping kind-of leaked all over the tray. Still ate it tho Grin

MFP says 20g carbs today -am happy with that! (Must stop logging everything on MFP, getting obsessed......)

roofergirl · 13/09/2012 17:36

It's not s

roofergirl · 13/09/2012 17:40

...something I'd want to do but she's a raw foodist and I think the reasoning behind it that this is how our ancestors ate. Works for her though. People would probably say our woe is not sustainable (although I can't see myself eating any other way, ever).

WillieWaggledagger · 13/09/2012 17:50

is it even possible to eat thirty bananas a day? that's two an hour...

MrsHerculePoirot · 13/09/2012 18:00

willie perhaps you set your alarm throughout the night for amore even spread...

Is that all you eat though - 30 bananas every day?!?!

Thegoddessblossom · 13/09/2012 18:05

Now me, I like a banana, but yikes, that's a whole heap of the blighters. But hey , it's no skin off my nose....geddit?

teaandthorazine · 13/09/2012 18:22

I've heard about this banana thing. I can't believe our paleolithic ancestors would've eaten 30 of them a day though Grin

Am feeling a bit crave-y for rice, weirdly enough. Haven't eaten rice for months! Dinner is in the oven - chicken roasting next to butternut squash (which I'll mash with garlic, chili flakes and butter). Veg will be green beans and broccoli, probably, although I really fancy some baba ganoush after having it last night...

OrangeEyesDoMoreThanSee · 13/09/2012 18:23

I am in a hot bath with nice mug of tea, my magazine and MN on my phone

It is my non food reward for doing the good shop on the way home and buying only LC items. DD (2) has tea at nursery but on the way home she ate. Two chicken satay sticks, a baby gingerman, a fruit pouch, a bread roll and half a punnet of blue berries. Bottomless pit.

Dinner is lc sausages and a salad

OliviaLMumsnet · 13/09/2012 18:34

Right i need help preparing for bootcamp

BIWI · 13/09/2012 18:36

What do you need to know/do, Olivia?

Bootcamp rules (revised) are here

halfthesize · 13/09/2012 18:38

vnmum sorry to hear DH has had rubbish day, I have decided to have vodka, lime and soda tonight to combat the crisp craving Grin

Thats not bad that the weight dropped straight off again, I am seriously considering properly IF.

orange enjoy your relaxing bath.

halfthesize · 13/09/2012 18:39

BTW Shock @ 30 bananas a day....

AuntieMaggie · 13/09/2012 18:42

I have been good mostly on another trip away... had a glass of wine though last night and the potatoes with my fish dish - this posh dinner stuff where you get about a tablespoon of food is getting on my nerves!
