Yes, I feel so sorry for hecate. And feel I may be taking an mn break soon, depending on how it all goes.I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention when people were posting mfp names, but I'm 44katy and I'd be grateful for friend requests!

littlemissstan · 31/08/2012 09:48

Morning all! The sun is shining and it definitely seems like Feel Fab Friday. I have decided to change my weigh in day to a Friday morning as weekends are my utter downfall at the moment. So today I have maintained, which I am pleased with given this weekend's drinking, crisps, chocolate and pizza... So frustrating though, I am 1lb off going into the next stone bracket.

TheOneWithTheHair · 31/08/2012 10:05

This time next week and you'll be celebrating that 1lb littlemissstan. Grin

slothprincess · 31/08/2012 13:29

Will I did my official weigh in today and it's 2 1/2 pounds off since I last recorded my weight about 3 weeks ago. That's despite falling off the wagon and into a biscuit tin and large glass of wine! So I'm proper made up. I now weigh 11 stone 6 pounds and when this thread was started (at the beginning of July I think?) I was 12 stone 5 1/2 pounds, so that's almost almost a stone. Yipee!!

I'm going to stick with a friday weigh in too I think littlemiss so I'll see you here next week in that next stone bracket!

I'm rachyowl on MFP Stealth. I did know how to add people but I seem to have forgotten.

KatoPotato · 31/08/2012 13:53

Friday Weigh in FOR THE WIN! I'm changing my day! Well done to sloth and littlemiss

It's a maintain, but I've had Chinese, crisps and whatnot! And can i get a whoop whoop for my M&S 5 pocket jeggings in a size 14 that I can get a hand down the back of!?

littlemissstan · 31/08/2012 14:57

Whoop whoop for the jeggings indeed Grin I've just accidentally eaten a peanut butter kitkat. It was lush. And I've still got a few hundred cals for today so will just be virtuous later...

InMySpareTime · 31/08/2012 15:08

My SmileSmile for today is that now I can get my size 14 jeans off without undoing the buttonsGrin.
My Sad for today is that PILs arrive soon, and for all their pickiness, they insist on eating out, and seem to require several snack breaks throughout the day too.
I will try to get a decent bit of exercise done to mitigate the biscuit-fest that this weekend will inevitably become.

reastie · 31/08/2012 15:48

Oh kato I keep meaning to buy those jeggings after reading a thread on them on style and beauty. Are they good and do they come up big or small? Not sure what size to go for.

bonkey was it you I spotted in talk round up this week?! Grin

inmy can you have something to offer alongside biscuits that are a little more virtuous for you?

littlemiss did you say peanut butter kit kat?????

My :) for today is I'm wearing a skirt that didn't do up last time I tried (although this was in January....but still)

stealth have I missed something? Mn break??? Everything OK?

reastie · 31/08/2012 15:49

Oh, and inmy I hope you have a belt for those jeans or things could get embarrassing Wink

KatoPotato · 31/08/2012 15:53

Reastie Of course I'm going to say they run small because I'm such a hot mama... I' d say they are 'generous' I had to send the 16s back because they were loose on the thighs and waist.

They look super on (if I do say so myself) and I got the indigo mix, which are a lovely 'jeans' colour and the cornflower blue because they were reduced to £13 and they are really nice too!

I have an 'AIBU' issue for you guys later but I'll type it up later (unless DH redeems himself when I get home!)

slothprincess · 31/08/2012 17:12

Whoop-dee whoop Kato!

slothprincess · 31/08/2012 18:06

And whoop for IMSP and her jeans too!

TheOneWithTheHair · 31/08/2012 18:08

Whoop whoop Kato and well done sloth and IMST. :)

reastie it kicked off a bit last night. I haven't been on today really but I hope it's calmed down now.

InMySpareTime · 01/09/2012 07:53

Good morning everyoneSmile,
I hope your Saturdays are good, I'm going for a walk along the Monsall Trail (sp?) with the PILs today, my challenge is to avoid the inevitable tea room stop mid-afternoon, where the food choices are inevitably cakey.
Still, I managed to survive dinner out last night, although there was an awkward moment when DH offered me a forkful of cheesy mash MIL didn't want from her plate and was surprised when I declined. Is it normal to dig into other people's leftovers in a restaurant, or are they odd? I know they're odd, just want reassurance on the etiquette of this occasion
I had a grilled vegetable focaccia and it was lovely, I left half the chips which DH hoovered up, see, they're a bit odd and came in under calories.

InMySpareTime · 01/09/2012 08:41

Oh. My. Word. Shock MIL is having half a slice of toast with her poached egg, followed by half a slice of bread with marmalade, and nobody else seems to mind. She is also talking with her mouth full, to the extent that she puts a forkful in before replying.
Why does this level of fussiness (and rudeness) wind me up so much?

KatoPotato · 01/09/2012 09:06

inmy that just sounds ridiculous! Half bread half toast? I'm having visions of a tea shop cake counter now... Ooh a gypsy cream!!

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/09/2012 10:53

IMST deep breaths and just remember this horrible woman is a temporary, unfortunate, side effect of loving your dh.

Dh eats left overs from my plate if we're out. I think that's the only thing you put that I don't find rude or unusual.

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/09/2012 18:03

It's very quiet here today. I hope that means you are all having a good day.

We had friends round last night and I definitely went over calories. We are out for MIL's birthday tonight so I will probably go over again but it's not too bad. I must have walked/run miles today round a local national trust property chasing after 2 three year old boys. I am bloody knackered though!! :)

slothprincess · 01/09/2012 19:13

Running after 2 three year olds sounds like a pretty good workout TOWTH! Maybe toddler chasing could become an olympic sport?

I went out for dinner last night and drank 1/2 bottle of wine and a couple of gin and tonics but I was proud of myself for choosing something fairly healthy off the menu rather than splurging on the most calorific and fat-laiden dish of deliciousness like I'd usually do. And my friend commented that I'd lost weight and that's always nice to hear :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 01/09/2012 19:19

Envy of those who've been told they've lost weight and look good. It's not happened to me yet.

Dh hasn't said anything either but he did say IMST has lost loads and it really shows. Grin

InMySpareTime · 01/09/2012 19:47

Good Evening all, I have escaped an evening with the PILs by totally unavoidable, what a shame it clashes with the visit babysittingGrin, I can still get my wifi here, and get a nice peaceful evening to myself.
MIL continued her fussy streak by ordering a mushroom soup, then leaving half as "it's too mushroomy", and leaving most of a Brie sandwich she ordered as "it's too rich"Hmm.
I had a flapjack this afternoon, but I did walk for 4 hours along the Monsal trail so I'm still well under calories for today may go to pot later as there's a fridge full of cake and orders to help myself

sleepychunky · 01/09/2012 21:46

Go for the cake IMST - it's the law when babysitting!

I've had a good day today - an unexpected trip to the park with friends of the DCs this morning and this afternoon I went to a birthday party with DS2 - the first time he has been invited to one without his big brother (who was in tears about being left out, despite the fact he's had about a million party invites since starting school which DS2 hasn't been invited to). Had a little bit of party food at 4.30 so I really wasn't hungry this evening and just had some grapes and a bit of cheese and 2 Jaffa cakes but at least I avoided the chocolate swiss roll.
Am back to work on Monday so will be seeing most of my colleagues for the first time in 6 weeks (we have a summer holiday rota which means half the staff go off for 3 weeks, then they come back and the other half have 3 weeks off, so I haven't seen some of them since the middle of July). It will be interesting to see if any of them notice that I have lost 20lb as I started on this regime in the last week we were all at work together.
I had a clear out of my wardrobe this morning and got rid of a load of clothes which I really am never going to wear again - the local BHF shop got a huge bag full this morning! I now have lots of space for all the lovely new clothes I am going to buy when I have lost another stone, and have also rediscovered some nice things which had been hiding in the depths of my Narnia-like wardrobe, so it feels as though I've got loads of new stuff as well Smile

InMySpareTime · 01/09/2012 22:03

I looked at the cake but I didn't want to eat it (a major breakthrough for me). I ate some strawberries instead. They were delicious.

StealthPolarBear · 01/09/2012 22:43

Sleepy, that sounds good. I love getting rid of a load of old clothes and then discovering a load of 'new' ones and some wardrobe space. :o
I have been away the last couple of days. Stuck to 2000 cals on Friday, no counting today. Back to it tomorrow and back to shredding when period finishes (pathetic excuse I know) and I fel better. Got some sort of viral thing, almost lost voice, achy etc. Ibuprofen earlier didn't help but I've just had a glass of wine and it feels loads better. So my wine is medicinal - and you dont log medicines, do you? :o

MrsPnut · 02/09/2012 07:23

Morning, I've been a bit AWOL the last few days. We did a car boot sale yesterday and sold some of my old clothes. I still have more to photograph and put on facebook for sale.

I decided that instead of having clothes that I am waiting to slim back down into that I should get rid of all it except a select few pieces that I adored.
I also have clothes that are too big for me now that need to go.

I also tried some stuff on, and it is fitting better than I thought it would.
I still haven't weighed myself but Monday will be D day then the kids go back to school on Wednesday and I will have no excuses.
