Ta very much Grin

I haven't been to bad today but did have to finish the blasted cake I made yesterday Blush

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/08/2012 23:01

Been rubbish today after resisting all week. Now under the influence of too much red wine.

Give me a kick in the morning because I can't be arsed tonight! :)

InMySpareTime · 27/08/2012 07:13

Come on everyone, back up on the wagonSmile.
I have eaten out a fair bit this weekend, but tried to make better choices (fell down a bit with lasagne, garlic bread and chips yesterday), and made my poor parents walk miles and help with the den. I'm under on net cals but my base cals are a bit high (around 1600 this weekend, usually around 1100-1200). I doubt the accuracy of exercise calories, so try to not eat them all back, as I walk/lift/dig quite a bit in my everyday life.
How do people do zero exercise on MFP day after day? Are they really doing nothing, or not logging stuff done at home rather than the gym?

nochipsthanks · 27/08/2012 07:54

Morning all. So sorry sleepy about your family stress. But good on your DH for standing up for his family. I did not read your AIBU but can see how distressing it all is for you. Thanks

I am pleased, 1 pound down (well it wibbled a bit, and then settled so I am saying a full pound down). That is 12 pounds loss in total. I am very pleased. I tried on a pair of size 12's yesterday and they were snug, but fit. I assumed it was big sizings so went to a different shop and tried on THEIR size 12s and they fit nicely. (guess which I bought!).

Have a great bank holiday planned- a long walk, play in a children's playground then a pub lunch. Both DH and I are off, which is unusual, so we are making the most of it!

BonkeyMollocks · 27/08/2012 09:15

Morning.
Im here faking positivity !

I don't put on exercise to MFP , mainly because i dont really consider day to day stuff exercise answer at the mo cba to do 'proper' exercise.

Plan, plan, plan Is what hey me through!

Well done Chips!!! :)

KatoPotato · 27/08/2012 09:59

Wahhhh Good Morning!

Sleepy I'm really sorry about your drama, fwiw I still think YWNBU but that's irrelevant when you're going through it! - I'm sure if they are used to spending so much time with DC's they'll realise they're being OTT, thinking of you.

Well, wasn't yesterday a food disaster for me? Can somebody please tell me the math involved as to how many calories make a pound? I had A chicken Royale with cheese for lunch, a trip to the cinema with popcorn and malteasers then home for a chinese (with chips, obv!) at the in-laws! Necked a massive 1800 calories and I know I'm heading for disaster!

I've decided that the scales at work are the most relaible so once the room is free I'll run along and take my shoes off!

Good luck everyone!Especially Chips I'm sporting a brand new size 14 dress to work today, because my clothes have actually become something similar to peasant sack cloths on me!

I've decided to stop logging exercise on MFP because firstly i'm skeptical at the calculations, and secondly I don't need the temptation to eat them back!

PooPooOnMars · 27/08/2012 10:57

Wahoo! I lost 2lb in my first full week of mfp!

That's 3 in total.

BonkeyMollocks · 27/08/2012 11:01

Well done Poo :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 27/08/2012 11:06

Well done to the losers and those who've lost a dress size. You're doing really well.

I feel pants this morning. I over indulged on the food and wine yesterday. I got a lie in til 9 this morning, ds2 slept through which is very rare and I still feel yuk. Looks like I won't get much done today then. Uuugh.

PooPooOnMars · 27/08/2012 11:07

Thanks! Im so pleased its actually working. I've been trying to lose weight for ages and am very relieved that i have found something that is so easy to use.

RightBuggerforit · 27/08/2012 11:41

Lol at all the arse kicking and rubbing! Have to say well done to Kato and Nochips - amazing. One day soon, I too will buy slim clothes, haha!

Kato that is my dream food day, well, it would be if I wasn't fat!

janflan · 27/08/2012 12:17

I just typed a massive post and then just lost it Angry.

Basically it was can i join please i need to lose a lot of weight. I'm now 17st 3lbs Shock. I'm going to cut down on snacking, try to eat healthily and make sure i get some sort of exercise everyday. If that doesn't work i'll have to go down the calorie counting route.

TheOneWithTheHair · 27/08/2012 12:27

Hi janflan good to see you. Autocorrect just tried to turn you into hangman hehe. :)

You could try MyFitnessPal app. It works for a lot of people on here. I used it for 1 day but it bored me to tears. It can really help though and it's great if you just want to check the calorie count of something.

eighty Grin to the analogy

jan hello. I've only been on the thread a few weeks but was more than you weigh at the beginning of the year and now am 15 st 6

Just tucking into my plate of vegetables and tofu. I'm very hungry so it tastes pretty good! We went to the cash and carry yesterday and bought 2 huge bags of choc chips - I will need incredible will power not to pick at them once the bag is open.

Well done poo and chips

theone hope you're feeling less pants today.

kato well done on the size 14s Envy

TheOneWithTheHair · 27/08/2012 12:59

Thanks for the sympathy but it's totally undeserved as it was completely self inflicted. I feel better now though. :)

I can't believe how well everyone's doing. I'm so going to let the side down when I weigh tomorrow but no matter. The dcs go back to school a week on Wednesday which means routine and more exercise so I will be able to do something then. :)

InMySpareTime · 27/08/2012 13:28

Is it wrong that I giggled when I read "poo and chips"? Grin

marriedinwhite · 27/08/2012 14:01

Weigh in today. Have lost 1lb. Feeling a bit disappointed because actually I have only lost 4.5lb since 9th July Sad and yet feel I have been quite restrained overall.

I started on abt 19th June 2012 and need to lose another 3lb to reache a stone. I really hope it isn't going to take me a month.

PooPooOnMars · 27/08/2012 14:25

Janflan. Hello! Smile

I find its easier when you have a plan to stick to such as ww, sw, mfp etc. I've just started mfp and love it! Those sorts of clubs etc also teach you, which can be really helpful as I've often been surprised by just how much fat there is in certain foods so it helps you make better choices.

I've done it your way as well but nothing really happened. Saying that though to actually lose any weight i have to go down to 1200 calories a day Shock so have to be really strict!

I've found mpf the easiest to do and i actually quite like scanning the barcodes and trying to stay in my limit (saddo alert)

Even my husband is doing it now.

PooPooOnMars · 27/08/2012 14:25

Mmm poo and chips Grin

janflan · 27/08/2012 14:54

Thanks for the welcomes. If this way doesn't work i'll rethink. I tend to get a bit obsessed when i'm following a plan and then give up at the first hurdle.

I made the boys cheese on toast for lunch and i had salad with a bit of salad dressing and ham. I need to do an online shop because there's no healthy snacks in.

It's chucking it down but Ds2 and i will be going for a walk later. He's going stir crazy so it can kill two birds with one stone.

TheOneWithTheHair · 27/08/2012 15:12

We have all fallen off the wagon a time or two. The good thing about this thread is that we all know it's not the end of everything and will kick, stroke, encourage and cajole you until you're back on track. We're a pretty friendly bunch. :)

InMySpareTime · 27/08/2012 15:32

Hair when do you want your DD back? (sorry for hijack, I CBA crossing the road to ask)

TheOneWithTheHair · 27/08/2012 16:25

Sorry IMST just throw her back when you're ready or at 5. Whichever comes first. GrinBlush
