I'm getting there I think.
Stressful day but now sorted.
Had sandwiches again for lunch but not hungry now so cereal and strawberries for tea.

IMST They sound yummy!

Stealth i don't think flashing lights during anything is a good sign Grin , are you drinking enough throughout?

InMySpareTime · 17/08/2012 17:48

I made roast lamb (and had none of the crispy bitsSad) with peas and roast potatoes & sweet potato.
I. Feel. So. Full.
May just sit for a while.

StealthPolarBear · 17/08/2012 18:10

Bonkey, glad things are getting sorted. bet you can't wait until your biggest problem is what to cook for tea :o You;re prob right about me not drinking enough actually, I'll give that a go.
IMST feeling full is good :)
reastie, do you mind me asking what your MFP calorie allowance is? 150 is fine, IMO - just shows you're still in control of it.

reastie · 17/08/2012 19:06

My calorie allowance is 1890 but it said to maintain weight it would be more like around 2300 ish (from memory) stealth

I feel really full at the minute too - I had a baked potato with corn on the cob and a shed load of stirfried veg and some tofu (no oil used obv Wink ). Couldn't even eat the fruit salad I had prepared beforehand for pudding Shock

I'm seriously tempted by a posh set of scales from amazon which has great reviews even when used on carpets but it's about £35 - would that be so bad to buy? If I use those machines in boots every week at 50p a go (I'm guessing here) then it's only a year and a half until it pays for itself, and I know it'll take me quite some time to shift the weight and I like to have the ease of weighing at home plus I never go to boots

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/08/2012 19:13

Evening all.

I agree that flashing lights are never a good sign. I have shredded in my time, almost got the hang of press ups too Blush

Have done well today, but probably haven't drunk enough water, doing well on the slim gins though! DH is doing a barbecue for supper, and I have some lean steak and some chicken thing, am sooo hungry, have also got a green salad. But today has been good.

I did buy a set of posh scales, a long time ago, I could link them to my computer but haven't, and actually it was money well spent. I must confess i do weigh every day, I need to other wise I start getting cavalier about it, but I know lots frown on it. I'm going to weigh in on Monday and then record it weekly from there I think.

Thank you for letting me join though.

InMySpareTime · 17/08/2012 20:19

My MFP allowance is 1200, but half the time I don't even gross that, and most days I do a couple of hundred Cals of exercise, I net 900 on average consistently over the last month.
My diary is public, I'm inthesparetime on MFP if you want to harass me about my bizarre diet see what I eat.

LollipopViolet · 17/08/2012 21:01

Hmm, not a bad day today. Did have a burger and some cider (v. stressful morning!) but amazingly, I'm still under my calories. Didn't make the gym today, so will go on Sunday I think :) Then will do Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (excessive, maybe, but I enjoy it and don't overdo each session so it's all good :))

fivegomadindorset · 17/08/2012 21:15

Alchohol has acted as a food replacement tonight.

BonkeyMollocks · 17/08/2012 21:19

fivegomadindorset · 17/08/2012 21:52

MilkshakeMaker · 18/08/2012 07:22

Stay Slim / No Slacking / Self Control / Stick to it Saturday! .. Its too early to think of anything else!

MilkshakeMaker · 18/08/2012 07:25

...No Scoff/ Sensible / Stay On Track Saturday!

InMySpareTime · 18/08/2012 07:33

Stay on track Saturday sounds like a plan.
I'm building a den for the DCs in the unusable space in the back of the garden (it's a triangular garden, ending at a point).
Plenty of physical work, and when we're done it'll give the DCs some space away from us old fuddy duddies as they get older.
Lamb casserole or curry for dinner most likely.

HolofernesesHead · 18/08/2012 08:12

Hello all :)

No weight loss this week.....boo!

chipsandmayonnaise · 18/08/2012 08:17

Good morning all!

Well, I have maintained ths week, which I am delighted with. I have not consistently eaten half portions, and had one evening where I had co-op fish pie followed by 2 slices of Dominos. Plus lots of red wine. I have done no exercise, and last night ate half a roast chicken so I am pleased! I am going to do another week of no counting points, but doing half portions, but the only change I will make is that I will have no cal drinks only. (Hit the cider last night hard!).

Wine is my downfall- I have one glass and then eat everything in sight. But have a busy week coming up work wise with lots of overtime, so sparkling water and lemon is the way to go.

Good luck everyone!

StealthPolarBear · 18/08/2012 08:33

Stay on track Saturday very relevant here. We are going away with our parents next weekend so my aim is to continue the calorie counting until then, and then have a few days off

fluffyraggies · 18/08/2012 08:37

unless you are sleep-eating donuts or something it will only be a mix of water and scale error. lol. Love it :)

Well done to all the maintainers and the loosers.
Well done to all the not sure'ers and well done to the wobblers and the lurkers cos if you're still reading this thread then you're still up for it!

I'm plodding on but now have serious scalephobia :(

Not getting on my set ever again as it messes with my head when it's miles out like that. Havne't got round to getting on my mate's scales and as someone upthread said they like you dressed on the scales in Boots Wink Plus i could'nt wait that long for my 1st cupper of the day - to Boots and back Grin

Shall just keep on. Might buy a new set when i'm less grumpy about it.

Happy Saturday everyone.

MrsPnut · 18/08/2012 08:48

Morning, we are camping this weekend and so things will slip a bit more. Last night was scampi and chips at the local pub but I had sweated packing up the camping gear and then again pitching the tent.
Breakfast this morning was bacon butties with 3 cups of coffee and we are about to go and spend the day wandering around Cambridge.
Hopefully the exertion will cancel out the food and wine.

sagelynodding · 18/08/2012 10:30

Morning all! Stay on track Saturday v relevant for me too-night shifts tonight and tomorrow, dc all weekend as dp works, then a job interview Monday morning on no sleep... I am completely stressing and i want to fill up on comfort carbs! I comfort eat and comfort bake, it is terrible.

At least I am no longer exploding out of my interview outfit-this is the one thought which is keeping me away from the biscuits!

marriedinwhite · 18/08/2012 10:31

I'm back.

Two and a half weeks in France and I have put on 1lb. I was careful with food but not so careful with wine!!

If I can be really good today, tomorrow and Monday I am hoping to weigh in the same as I did before going away.

So far today I have had:

1 sm glass OJ
1 big mushroom (1 low cal spray)
1 egg (broken into the mushroom and finished under grill)
1/2 tomato
1 plum
1 tea
1 coffee

and have had a 30 minute power walk.

Fingers crossed for Monday.

tumbletumble · 18/08/2012 11:48

Fluffy, may be worth investing in some new scales. 6lb is beyond the normal level of scale inaccuracy!

Well done married, 1lb up after a holiday is really good.

This week has been quite good for me. Now just need to try not to ruin it over the weekend! Having a BBQ today...
