It does help to see what you have been eating and how much shit is in a slice of cake Shock

Hello new people. It's all laid back and long-haul on here, it's about eating less and moving more in whatever way fits best with your lifestyle.

Tango - I am a saddo who counts calories in my head, rather than doing a food diary, but a food diary is a good start, as writing it down makes you think more before overdoing the biscuits/crisps.

fivegomadindorset · 12/08/2012 21:43

I have a bizarre one, I have done SW since January and lost a wapping 7lbs, now doing WW but still going to SW weigh in as there is not a convenient weigh in. I need to do this, i want to do this.

JoandMax · 12/08/2012 21:47

I'm in! I'm using MFP to lose another 1.5 stone, have lost 2 stone already since March.

Indulged a bit yesterday, had a lovely day out with treats with DCs and BBQ but worth it! I have a meal plan for the week and shopping all done.

My purpose for loosing is to feel healthier, be healthier and have another baby - I want to be in top condition!

beeny · 12/08/2012 21:48

I have half a stone to to get rid of I have got the juicer out already.

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 21:51

Joandmax Sounds like a good plan.

And we have the baby thing in common. We are thinking about it but now way am I going to add more weight to what I have at the moment. I want to be happier and healthier before anything :)

MFP=my fitness pal yeah??

Ok getting the app now, I did slimming world in 2010/2011 and 2 Pilates classes and lost 3 stone!! Then I got pregnant and lost more due to morning sickness, I was actually at my thinnest after giving birth.

Then I ate cakes, and lunches out, and chocolate, and cakes and now I've piled the 3 stone back on and more because even my big jeans are getting tight.

When I put it down like that I feel greedy, that's all it is sheer greed I can't even use having a baby as an excuse.

Going to give it a go myself for a while, spend money on an exercise class instead of SW and see how it goes, joandmax really inspired by your weightless since march woah well done!!!

Tangointhenight · 12/08/2012 21:56

Oh and with yous on the being in top condition for having another baby :)

JoandMax · 12/08/2012 22:06

Tango - yes, it's My Fitness Pal, I have it as an iPhone app so can keep up to date wherever I am.

I find it really helpful in watching portion sizes and keeping on track if I have a bit of a treat! You can work out how to cut back if you overindulge rather than writing off a whole day/week which I used to! I still have nice food and go out etc so find it good as a long term help.

I really want DC3 but knew I had to be in better condition as being pg and running after my 2 little boys will be hard work!! I was also a little bit shocked into doing it after my then 3 year old asked why we had no photos of Mummy up, I weighed myself and was so upset at how I'd ended up so big.

I'm going slow and steady, I will get there!!!

Good luck everyone else

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 12/08/2012 22:32

Signing in.

It's weigh day tomorrow. I have no idea how it's going to go. I'm a bit nervous actually. In thinking back on the week I think it's going to be bad.

I will focus again after my holiday. I did so well at the beginning of these threads. :(

Welcome to everyone who's joining us for the first time. :)

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 22:33

Weigh day for me tomorrow too! Confused

OP posts:
fivegomadindorset · 12/08/2012 22:36

Weigh day for me is Friday, gives me the week to get over the weekend, although I have been very good these last two weekends.

HolofernesesHead · 12/08/2012 22:49

Hi everyone! Thanks for the new thread :)

Watching the closing ceremony with dc. It's good, isn't it? I'm thinking about recording my weight on MFP every day. I know there'll be ups as well ad downs, but apart from anything I'd be quite interested to know how my weight fluctuates throughout the month.

Oblomov · 12/08/2012 22:55

Thanks for the new thread Bonkey.
