Good Morning Team! Well, I'm back from just about the best weekend ever, which kicked off with DS getting drop-kicked at grannies on Friday afternoon! We went straight to Tesco to load the car up with booze and all manner of snacks! We had Red Stripe in the car, whisking me back to underage drinking at the Art School union!
We arrived at our amazing pad on the Royal Mile and supped Pink Cava and people watched, munching on crisps and dip... Dinner was log fired pizza topped with haggis and a shared bag of chips between 4 with cans of Strawberry and Pear Cider.
What is really noteworthy is the friends we were holidaying with we see very sporadically, and the first thing my tiny female friend remarked on was that I was 'miniature' and had lost a lot of weight (approx 2st 4lb since I last saw her) and this sparked a convo about food habits in general. I was amazed to hear that although she is a size 8-10 she is mindful of her calories all week (weekends are off) and spins and goes horseriding and the gym throughout the week too.
We've talked about this here before, but I was convinced that she was just the way she was and didnt have to worry about calories etc, but I've only ever hooked up with her on holidays or weekends, so she was having a break... whereas I'd be quaffing wine and scoffing crisps like another day at the office!
It's really given me a boost, and I think I've cracked this as a new way of eating and being mindful...
