Couldn't get much more inspirational than the title of the first thread. We're doing this for ourselves. No one else outside family really cares if we're size 16 or size 10. No one else really benefits when we're slimmer. We take all the pain but get all the benefits. And it matters, we'll do anything to get there. Seriously assess - are you really doing all you can? Could you maybe cut out a bit more junk or exercise on the days you can't be bothered? If you really are doing all you can, brilliant. the weight will be coming off, slowly but surely. If, like me, you're thinking that maybe you could try a bit harder sign in here for your butt kicking.
do you want to be fat at christmas?

krumbum please show me exactly where I suggested deleting this thread?

you can have an opinion but it's pretty shoddy to come on here and have a go at us and then refuse to respond to the reasonable points others have made.
and what did you think you'd achieve with "what a horible thread". Oh I am enlightened.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 21:32

so that obviously wasn't your original aim, just a convenient fall back position. How cowardly.

Fairenuff · 12/08/2012 21:33

Yes, sloppy arguing. Badly done, Krumbum, badly done.

Give it out or give it up.

What's your point? You haven't answered most of my questions.

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 21:33

Well said Stealth

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 21:35

Now has anyone looked at their screens properly? Grin

Krumbum · 12/08/2012 21:53

Sorry fairEnuff? What was the question.
What are you suggesting my original aim was. Not really getting that. My aim was to maybe a few people would question why they want look a certain way, of not fine. Just looking for more freedom for women.
I said what a horrible thread because that is what I thought reading the op. that is was full of fat hatred.

Krumbum · 12/08/2012 21:54

Sorry I didn't answer for a bit. I wasn't ignoring I was just doing something.

in fact show me the fat hatred too, please

OP posts:
BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 21:56

I would be interested to see the 'fat hatred' too Hmm

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 21:57

looking for more freedom for women
If you had actually read the thread you'd see what our reasons are. But you jumped straight in with an agenda, and actually you're completely wrong. And you're refusing to admit it. Where are the oppressed women, desperate to look good for their men?

OP posts:
Krumbum · 12/08/2012 21:59

Fairenuff 'No! Don't start a new thread. Why should one ignorant poster scare everyone away'

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 21:59

Post 1: "We're doing this for ourselves"

OP posts:
Krumbum · 12/08/2012 22:00

'do you want to be fat at christmas'.

Krumbum · 12/08/2012 22:00

Yes I imaging you do think that if you don't examine how examine how we are socialised.

Krumbum · 12/08/2012 22:01

*imagine

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 22:01

I still cant see any mention of deleting the thread
prrof in my view you're reading what you want to read - you're not actually reading what we're saying

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 22:02

so fat bashing
We're on here because we all consider ourselves "fat". I'm askng if we still want to be where we are now at Christmas. Again, reading what you want to read.

OP posts:
Tangointhenight · 12/08/2012 22:04

I joined the thread for support.I just don't want to be overweight and unhealthy end of, it's our choice to participate in this thread, if you don't like it then leave.

KatoPotato · 12/08/2012 22:04

Jeez Louise guys! I'm back from the festival and it's all kicking off! I need the power of MM... But what's this nonsense? I did read a suggestion of treating like a tantrumming toddler? When does normal service resume? I've got lots to report!!

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 22:04

I actually have no idea what you're on about any more.
I actually class myself as a feminist. I ahve started a few of these threads and the ones that came before them (losing weight becuase we need to and we want to) and have always aimed to make sure the focus is on losing weight for health and to feel better. People come on saying the same thing over and over again. The most "shallow" thing I've read (soemthng which I agree with myself) is that they're sick of being "the fat one".

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 22:06

I don't know Kato. But this thread is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth which I am covering with chocolate.
Cheers Krumbum. How dare you attempt to dictate to me the reasons I am losing weight? Who the hell do you think you are?

OP posts:
Krumbum · 12/08/2012 22:14

I'm NOT dictating. Not a patriarchy feminist? No matter it's still the same aim.

Fairenuff · 12/08/2012 22:18

Sorry fairEnuff? What was the question

As you can't be bothered to look back, I have cut and pasted the questions here. I trust you will do me the courtesy of answering them?

Question 1 - But what makes you think you know my reasons. And what makes you think you can tell me what to do? Go on, do enlighten me as to why I should listen to you, oh oracle. You must be pretty special to think you know what's best for me.

Question 2 - So are you assuming that I want to lose weight for sexist reasons? Are you assuming that because I am a woman?

Question 3 - Do you agree that I can choose to lose weight if I want. Do you agree that can seek support from like minded people if I want?

Queston 4 - Why are you telling me I'm wrong?

I look forward to your answers.
