WW Weekly Club??

babygibbon · 03/03/2006 14:15

Hello. I couldn't help but notice the old WW thread is long and has been going a while.

I'd love other weight watchers members to join me and report their weekly weigh ins, perhaps we could keep a stats chart (a la the Antenatal clubs) to keep us motivated, you know, name, start weight, start date, goal weight, height, points allowance, current weight loss to date etc. and update it monthly...anyone interested?

So, here's mine: Start weight 14st 1lb (arghh!), goal weight 9st 7lb, height 5'4 started 23 February and have lost 3.5lbs so far. I'm breastfeeding DD2 (8 weeks old) so am allowed 33 points.

Anyone else?

OK. I restarted WW online on 3rd February after a lapse. Start weight 11st, goal weight 9st 10lb, have lost 4lb, height 5'3 and I'm on 20 points.

By way of background, I was over 14st when I had my twin sons 2 years ago and within 8 months I reached 11st. I then became blase about writing my points down and that is why I was stuck at 11st for over a year. Now I have gathered myself and I'm doing it properly because it does workSmile. Good luck!

babygibbon · 04/03/2006 12:29

Hi Speedymama. Good luck and thanks for the reassurance. I was shocked when I got on the scales for the first time and still haven't confessed to DH...he seems to wear rose tinted specs when it comes to my weight gain! Did you do any exercise first time round (other than looking after twins!)?

I am now 100% better and fighting for a new me. Want down to at least 10st 7 lbs for the summer. Need all the help I can get. at the min I am allowed 24 pts.

speedymama · 05/03/2006 09:01

Hi Babygibbon, most of my exercise initially was through running after the twins and walking. When they were about 4 months, I worked out to some old Jane Fonda and Tae Bo videos. Then when I was more confident I went to the gym once a week. I then started running around the park and last year I completed the 5k Race for Life and a 10k charity run in LondonSmile.

Now I'm determined to lose the last stone by being more strict with my diet. I plan to start running again later this month plus I attend the gym at work and I'm currently exercising at home to the Davina McCall's Power of Three, Nell McAndrew's Maximum Impact as well as Zoe Lucker's Little Black Dress DVDs (Lucker's DVD cost me £2.99 from AldiGrin). I also exercise to my old videos, skip and ride my old exercise bike. I like the variety Grin! When I exercise at home, the twins take part for the first 2 minutes before becoming bored and then they go off to entertain themselves so I just exercise around them. My DH was so impressed by my efforts that he trained for and completed a half marathon last year so we do encourage one another.

Good luck to you and everyone in losing the weight and if possible, becoming fitter at the same timeSmile.

speedymama · 10/03/2006 08:00

Today I have lost another pound so am 10st 9lb. I was hoping for 2lb but if I'm honest, I let myself down at the weekend (too much snacking), in particular, the fabulous chicken roast dinner with all the trimmings that I cooked for DH and DTs. The DTs ate it all including all the stuffing and 2 yorkshire puddings each (I made far too much!)Grin. I should have cut back to 14-16 points from Monday to Thursday to make up for the excesses.

Anyway, I've already made my no point soup which I will have today and for the rest of the weekend for lunch (dinner on Sunday). Breakfast will be bran flakes with skimmed milk and dinner will not exceed 10 points. I will be less generous to myself with the Sunday roast.Smile

Now I'm off to work out to my Davina McCall DVD whilst the DTs are in their high chair having breakfast.

I started ww on 31st January, I'm 5'2", my start weight was 11st 2.5lb and I am now down to 10st 7lb. My goal weight is 9st 11lb but I would love to be 9st7. I am on 21 points but tend to save some for when I eat with dh which is only 2 nights a week. I started off well with excercise and would go for a 20 minute walk/run twice a week but with the bad weather I really can't face it. I have bought a Davina DVD but have only managed it once this week. PMT is not helping, it means I am not motivated to do anything!

speedymama · 12/03/2006 10:13

Well done Lilliput. Our weight and height profiles are very similar (i'm 5'3)and I am aiming to get down to 9st 10lb. Which Davina DVD do you have? I know what you mean about finding the motivation to exercise but your weight loss is going well so keep it upSmile.

Lilliput · 12/03/2006 10:18

I've got the 3 30 minute workouts, quite good and I don't find her too annoying really. However if we all had 2 personal trainers we would all look that great! I really don't think I have lost anything this week, I feel really bloated as my period is due any day now. Trying not to get dispondent and will do a 30 minute workout later, I promise!!

Lilliput · 12/03/2006 10:20

I think I need a bit more variety when it comes to excercise, I am well impressed by you speedymama!

Donbean · 13/03/2006 20:19

started December 05, lost 20.5lbs so far on 20 points.
Weighed 10stone 9lbs, now weigh 9stone 1.5lbs.
Got another 10lbs to go and im 5'1.
Its been relatively easy with just one week where i gained (period from hell), have consistently lost every week so far.
Good luck to every one, my weigh day is a Thursday so i shall check in then.

tallmummy · 13/03/2006 21:20

melarnz · 13/03/2006 21:50

Lilliput · 14/03/2006 19:08

Yipee! I have lost 1.5 lbs and I thoght I would probably sts. Only 3 more to get to a stone. I was out shovelling snow off our driveway this afternoon which I have counted as excercise, bloody knackering!!

speedymama · 15/03/2006 08:39

My weigh in is Friday and this week has been rather poor for me. Does anybody else suffer from the really sharp, cramping pains that occur when you ovulate? My tummy expanded so much that it became rotund and I'm still carrying a lot of water around the middle. This happens every month plus I suffer from cramping pains and water retention when I actually have my period.

I'm hoping my weight will have stabilised by Friday.

Lilliput · 15/03/2006 16:04

Speedymama, you will probably find the week after your period you will lose loads of weight, as long as you keep away from pmt comfort eating!!

Lilliput · 15/03/2006 16:06

Excercise is supposed to be good for period pain, not entirely convinced by this theory though.

Emma1404 · 15/03/2006 16:24

Donbean · 15/03/2006 20:24

FFS! I weighed myself this morning as i felt very slim and trim and was 9stone exsactly, weighed myself tonight as i feel that period bloatedness and i am 9st 4...how can this be!!? i have been very very good this week, i have had between 3 and 7 points left over every day, done my tracker stuck to it absolutely and i feel like the side of a house tonight...BLAH!!!!!!!!!!

Emma1404 · 15/03/2006 20:31

dont worry about it.....we tend to hold alot of fluid us woman before that time of the month. I stuck to my tracker last week, saved points every day and ran 5 miles but stayed the same. most disappointing,

alliebaba · 15/03/2006 20:36

serves you right for jogging you weirdo

Donbean · 16/03/2006 13:25

I got the ww mag and there are some fab recipes in that so im going to do some cooking this week.
Ah well, back on it, ive still lost 20lbs up to now so ive done amazingly well (for me anyway!)

mootoo · 16/03/2006 14:49

Hi can i rejoin! I did ww last year and went from 14st 10 to 11st 4 (i am 5 ft 9). I hit my goal weight on dec 23 so obviously went mad over christmas - my first weigh in of the year was 11 9. After 12 weeks of pregnancy and a missed miscarriage, followed by binge drinking and eating i now weigh 12 4 (on my scales) I am trying to lose a bit at home before i show my face at the meetings!
I have just discovered cadburys highlights biscuit things in a packet - only 1 1/2 pts - great for that sweet nibble! Oh and i used to be fee77
