WW Weekly Club??

babygibbon · 03/03/2006 14:15

Hello. I couldn't help but notice the old WW thread is long and has been going a while.

I'd love other weight watchers members to join me and report their weekly weigh ins, perhaps we could keep a stats chart (a la the Antenatal clubs) to keep us motivated, you know, name, start weight, start date, goal weight, height, points allowance, current weight loss to date etc. and update it monthly...anyone interested?

So, here's mine: Start weight 14st 1lb (arghh!), goal weight 9st 7lb, height 5'4 started 23 February and have lost 3.5lbs so far. I'm breastfeeding DD2 (8 weeks old) so am allowed 33 points.

Anyone else?

Hi everyone, can I join you? Just started weight watchers tonight, didn't like the lady that much, but trying not to let that put me off!

I currently weigh 16 stone 10llb's Blush

And i am 5 foot 8

anyway, i have a tough job ahead of me!!!!!

Lilliput · 19/04/2006 22:18

Good for you Biscuitdunkernomore, the hardest part is actually admitting you need to lose weight and then pluck up the courage to go to a meeting. What's your goal weight and why did you decide to go to WW?
If you are not keen on the leader are there any other meetings you could go to?

Dior · 22/04/2006 22:22

Buscuit - if you don't like your leader, you are entitled to go to any meeting in the country. You are a member of WW, not that particular club. Just tell your new leader which meeting you used to attend and she can ask the other leader for your card...

Dior · 22/04/2006 22:25

Also, can I join this thread please? I lost 3.5 stones last year, and became a Leader (in Colchester). I got depressed again over Xmas, and gave up being a leader in March because I couldn't stop eating. I re-joined last week (and am clerking for an ex-member who is now a leader), needing to lose 2.5 stones Blush.

I have been doing No Count this week, but am finding it hard because I prefer to be in control more. Will post on Wednesday, after my weigh-in...

Lilliput · 23/04/2006 13:51

Am I right in thinking that to be a leader you have to stay within a certain range of your goal weight? That's pretty tough Dior, well done for getting back on the wagon though. I am really near my goal and I am really scared of how I will manage once I'm at my target weight, I'm worried about it all getting out of control again!

Dior · 23/04/2006 20:48

Lilliput - you have to be within your BMI range to remain a leader. That's not why I stopped though...dh is going to work in London soon, and I wouldn't have been able to do evenings. Also, working three nights a week was beginning to spoil the days for me, and I was also getting incredibly tired, which didn't help my depression. When I stopped working for WW, I was just within my BMI range, although my original goal was really near to the lowest end. However, I went completely to pot after I left, and added another stone Blush.

It is hard maintaining the loss when you reach goal. I always used to tell my members that maintenance was harder than losing, because I didn't want them to think that they could just go back to their old eating habits. You need to keep going to a meeting, which is hard when you are a leader!

Lilliput · 25/04/2006 20:24

Yipeeeee!!!! After 12 weeks I have made past my goal weight and I feel so chuffed!! Quite scared about maintaining it though, I really hope it doesn't all go to pot. I have exercised tonight as if to prove a point to myself that because I am at goal weight I am not going to start scoffing whole chocolate oranges again!!

Dior · 25/04/2006 20:26

Well done! I weigh in tomorrow, so will post my loss (well, hopefully it's a loss!)

tallmummy · 25/04/2006 20:26

Well done Lilliput. I'm making an extra effort this week. back on course food wise and have just swum 26 lengths whilst kids at swimming lesson. Going to aquaaerobics tomorrow, have done lots of digging and walking. If I've not lost this week I will cry!! weigh in Thurs - fingers crossed!!

Dior · 25/04/2006 20:29

I've done No Count this week, and I don't feel like I've lost a huge amount. When I have done Points before, my first week losses are usually good.

collision · 25/04/2006 22:33

Am joining tomorrow I think (if I remember) so will fill you all in on the details then.

gulp.

biscuitdunkernomore · 26/04/2006 13:18

just lost 4.5 llbs Grin phew!! wasn't too bad, though i have loads to loose, so i guess you always notice it more in the first week.

Doing the no points version as don't have time add up points.

hows everyone else doing?

Lilliput · 26/04/2006 14:46

well done biscuit, that's brilliant!

Lilliput · 26/04/2006 14:47

How was things with your leader this week, did you stay to the meeting?

andyrobo237 · 26/04/2006 18:12

biscuit - that is fab!

I got a 1lb loss today - I am going to try the no count one this week and see how I get on! It is all too slow or me - I am so impatient and the warmer weather is getting to me! Need to lose 3 stones to be happy - my irst goal is to get in the next stone down level by the end o May!

Dior · 26/04/2006 20:21

Well done biscuit! I lost 4.5lbs too, also on No Count. I have gone back on Points this week though, as I feel more in control that way...

tallmummy · 27/04/2006 10:19

Weigh in tonight. I have been so good. Stuck to my points. This week I have dug garden, swum, walked and went to aquablitz last night. Fingers are crossed I want to have lost 2 lbs to get back on track.

Donbean · 27/04/2006 11:28

Another 3 off this week, i am now below 9 stone which i havent been since the year 2000! Im so pleased.
Im at goal so dont have to pay any more, just want to get another 3 off then i will be happy!

biscuitdunkernomore · 27/04/2006 15:44

Hi everyone, didn't stay for the meeting as had the kids with me (this may seem wrong but i dont want them to know that I'm on a diet -especially my daughter)

I might think about changing classes eventually if the leader gets on my nerves, but im going with a friend so it helps to have the moral support.

I prefer the no count as cannot be faffed to count and weigh stuff, just don't have the time. I have discovered Yeo Valley Live Fat Free yoghurts (in big tubs) which are great for pouring over fruit - makes a lovely pudding and good if i have a sweet tooth! (hooray!!)

I think my fruit and veg intake has risen to about 10 portions a day Blush

Just started my period this week and feeling shaky and in need of real sugar so will se what this week brings!

good luck everyone and well done with your weight losses

biscuitdunkernomore · 27/04/2006 15:45

tallmummy - good luck for tonight, let us know how you get on!

Dior · 27/04/2006 19:28

Buiscuit...don't forget the 21 points that you can snack on. They might get you through the sugar cravings!

tallmummy · 28/04/2006 19:59

I lost 1 1/2 lbs. Back on track now!! I'm knackered though!!

Dior · 28/04/2006 22:25

Well done TM!

andyrobo237 · 29/04/2006 08:27

Donbean - it must be great not have to pay! I have never got that ar ever in all my years of dieting - this time WILL be diferent (said that beore too!)

Dior · 29/04/2006 18:24

Also, when you are a Gold member, even if you are more than 5lbs over goal, you don't have to pay for missed weeks. That's a bonus too!
