WW Weekly Club??

babygibbon · 03/03/2006 14:15

Hello. I couldn't help but notice the old WW thread is long and has been going a while.

I'd love other weight watchers members to join me and report their weekly weigh ins, perhaps we could keep a stats chart (a la the Antenatal clubs) to keep us motivated, you know, name, start weight, start date, goal weight, height, points allowance, current weight loss to date etc. and update it monthly...anyone interested?

So, here's mine: Start weight 14st 1lb (arghh!), goal weight 9st 7lb, height 5'4 started 23 February and have lost 3.5lbs so far. I'm breastfeeding DD2 (8 weeks old) so am allowed 33 points.

Anyone else?

Ive decided. im having a week off this week for the following reasons:

  1. i am ovulating and feel like a bouncy castle, my stomach is swollen and i am wobbling all over.

2)im going to the Trafford centre on Thursday to buy some new slimmer clothes as i have gone down a dress size or two.

  1. i shall be eating a pizza hut eat all you like buffet lunch. (i intend to!)

  2. i am going out for dinner with friends on Thursday night and want to enjoy it.

So, are these good enough reasons to skip it????

Can I join in too? Started in Feb 06. Had 3 weigh-ins so far and have lost 6.5 lbs. I'm doing the No Count, which seems to be a very healthy way to lose the weight.

Start Weight: 12st 8lbs
Goal Weight: 9st 12lbs
Height: 5ft 7"

Weight Loss in 3 weeks: 6.5lbs

speedymama · 21/03/2006 08:46

Donbean

How about restricting your points to about 16 until Thursday and gaining some bonus points as well? You could fill up on low or no point food and drink lots of water. You could try the following:

No point vegetable soup

No point chilli with medium size jacket potato (2.5 points)or small plate of pasta (3 points)

Medium size chicken breast is about 2.5 points I think so if you season, roast and serve with mounds of no point vegetables, that is quite tasty and filling.

If you fancy some chocolate, ww have a chocolate crispy cake recipe that is abot 1.5 point each (see one their bookbooks or website)or buy chocolate fingers which are a point each.

The reason I like WW is that it is easily adapatable to your lifestyle. I know that is easier said than done but sometimes we need remindingSmile.

Enjoy Thursday anywaySmile!

Donbean · 21/03/2006 16:13

Thanks for the tips speedy, that is what i usually do if i have got a social eating thingy but Thursday is a double eating social thingy so cant possibly save enough points.

Ive had a change of heart though as i weighed myself on my scales this morning and have lost 2lbs according to them so think i may go and get weighed out of curiosity. Smile
My Thursday binge is after weigh in and so it could be my treat for next week and i could cut my points next week to compensate.
I just want to get below 9 stone.

Donbean · 21/03/2006 16:14

PS the 0 point chilli is absolutely devine. Grin

Lilliput · 21/03/2006 20:21

I've lost 3.5lbs this week!!!!!!!Hurrah!!
This means that I have lost a stone and am only another 2lbs from my 10% target. The weird thing is I didn't do any excercise this last week, naughty I know but I was having such a horrendous period that I really didn't feel like it. But I was really, really busy and had little time to think about food. I am so chuffed, can you tell!!

Detta · 21/03/2006 20:51

Well done Lilliput. HOpefully I'll have lost my first half stone this week. Makes you feel so much better about yourself doesn't it?

Lilliput · 21/03/2006 21:21

I have had such a spring in my step today, fan-bloody-tastic!!

scotchlass · 22/03/2006 10:32

Hi I am new to MN and am going to join WW tomorrow. I am a bit nervous and not sure about the point/no point thing. Can anyone help?

Donbean · 22/03/2006 10:49

Hi scotchlass, dont worry they will explain it all to you and give you some stuff to read as well. Its relatively easy when you get into it.
It is a great way to lose wieght and feel better about yourself, look at lilliputs posts, she is really proud of herself and you can just feel it in her words cant you!
Good luck and i hope that you enjoy it on here.

scotchlass · 22/03/2006 11:00

Thanks donbeam I will let you know how I get on.

puddle · 22/03/2006 11:14

Can I join for a bit of encouragement.

I lost 11lb in jan and feb on weightwatchers but this months have been quite bad about doing the points tracker and haven't lost anything. Am still eating fairly healthily though so haven't put any back on either.

Am currently 9st 10lb and wanted to get down to 9st 6 or 7 so only another 3-4lb to go.

I have found the discipline of the tracker is the only way for me. Am doing it on the ww site rather than meetings

Am on 18 points though which is NOTHING!. Can anyone who has got to goal weight tell me what you can then eat to maintain your weight at that level, points wise?

scotchlass · 23/03/2006 19:13

Hi, had my 1st weigh in today. 9st11lb. Target weight 8st 7lb. It seems so impossible at the moment but I have got off to a good start, hope I can keep it up.

Lilliput · 23/03/2006 20:35

Wow, 9st11lb, is my target weight, I hope you are short!

sareg26tymaddie · 23/03/2006 21:01

i recomend weight watchers I have been doing 2 months and have lost 12 ibs so far. Exercise as well i go to the gym but if that isnt suitable get a fitness video such a patsy palmer. She has had 3 kids and has lost all har weight. It is a dance workout and good fun.

scotchlass · 24/03/2006 09:47

I am only 5'3" so 9st11lb is over 1 st overweight for me. I hope I can loose 12lb in 2 months, well done. I am not feeling too hungry which is good. I am doing no count, what does everyone else do?

lisa34 · 24/03/2006 21:38

Hi i joined WW at the end of january and have lost 21.5lbs I'm 5'4 and currently weigh 13 stone 2lbs so i have a way to go yet until I get to goal - but my incentive is going to see Robbie in Leeds in September - I mean he is really going to see me!!!!!! getting on the scales on Tuesday morning so we'll see what happens this week!

scotchlass · 25/03/2006 09:40

Well done Lisa that is fantastic!! I hope I can do as well as you. Keep it up.

sareg26tymaddie · 25/03/2006 19:40

i lost another 1 and a half pounds so really pleased i do points and seems to be working. Can get in a size 12 now from a 16. I have heard that if you eat pink grapefruit before your main meal it helps to burn it off faster and you lose weight quicker. Any one tried it?

Lilliput · 27/03/2006 19:33

weigh in tomorrw and I am not optimistic, I think because I lost a whopping 3.5lbs last week this week won't be so good. I haven't done any excercise to two weeks either. Let's just hope I haven't put any on!!
