WW Weekly Club??

babygibbon · 03/03/2006 14:15

Hello. I couldn't help but notice the old WW thread is long and has been going a while.

I'd love other weight watchers members to join me and report their weekly weigh ins, perhaps we could keep a stats chart (a la the Antenatal clubs) to keep us motivated, you know, name, start weight, start date, goal weight, height, points allowance, current weight loss to date etc. and update it monthly...anyone interested?

So, here's mine: Start weight 14st 1lb (arghh!), goal weight 9st 7lb, height 5'4 started 23 February and have lost 3.5lbs so far. I'm breastfeeding DD2 (8 weeks old) so am allowed 33 points.

Anyone else?

Dior - well done - lost what you put on!

I lost a pound today - quite happy but would have liked 2! Have been doing the full choice one and wondered about the no count, but not sure if it would suit be. What does everyone else do? Especially those big losers!

Dior · 25/05/2006 10:39

I am on No Count at the moment. However, the 4.5 lbs was probably because I was really good after gaining 4lbs, so not a 'usual' loss on No Count. I am doing it again this week, because I find it easier to throw a meal together for myself on it, but I am trying to be really careful about eating until I'm 'comfortably full', as I don't want to get blase.

tallmummy · 04/06/2006 16:26

I got my 10% keyring this week. 3Lbs to get to goal!!

dinny · 04/06/2006 22:20

hello, can't remember if I already joined this but if not, can I??

started going to ww meetings a couple of wwkes ago and lost 2lb the first week, 4lb the second. my weigh-in is on Wednesday. am tragically sooooo into filling in the tracker. is that normal??

CorrieDale · 05/06/2006 08:41

Can I join too? I joined WW online today (our meeting times coincide with DS's bedtime routine). I lost a fair bit in 2004 with WW online but sadly gained most of it back again owing to pregnancy, sleep deprivation and eating DS's normal-fat foods!

dewmeadow · 07/06/2006 19:04

Corrie - are you me?

except, this time Im too under pressure to do it at home so im going to a meeting to be humiliated into sticking to it! second day on Nocount

Donbean · 07/06/2006 20:01

Going to weigh in tomorow and i have been eating like a pig for nearly 2 weeks now.
Its been 6 months since i ate like this and once i started i just couldnt stop.
I was very tempted not to go tomorow but think that i will and see what the damage is. Then back to it with a vengance.

Just needed to confess to you all.

Im at goal and only go every 2 weeks now any way BUT so dont want to undo ALL the good hard work that i have done over the last 6 months.Sad

Twiglett · 08/06/2006 15:33

I got a shiny today Grin .. give yourself a shiny .. it took 4 weeks but still 7lbs Grin

Donbean · 08/06/2006 19:01

2 Lbs ON!
Am so relieved, i was sure that i would have put much more on.
My clothes feel tighter though with just 2 lbs its amazing how such a small amount can make such a difference.
Ive been realy good today and have only had 13 points up to now, im going to really try hard this week.
I want to get another 10 Lbs off over the summer months as ive lost all this weight and im still in a size 12 pants which are a bit snug, doesnt seem right or fair.
Any way, good luck every one, keep up the good work.

Dior · 09/06/2006 19:56

I am now on 9lbs. This is over 6 weeks, so average of 1.5lbs per week. I'm happy with that. No Count is still going well with me.

Today, I discovered Tesco's 'salad cheese', which is like Feta, but really light. It comes in 200g packets, and 50g is 1 point. I had it sprinkled in my mixed salad, along with sweetcorn. Then, for lunch I had chicken and half a jacket potato. It was yummy. So yummy that I had the same meal for supper, except smoked mackerel instead of the chicken! I'm not very imaginative me!

I'm also into Soleros at the moment. 2 points each...

dewmeadow · 09/06/2006 23:59

Wow - 2 points for a Solero. Am about to go on holidays to morrow so welcome that low fat tip, but I may have to decide between soleros and wine!

Moomin · 13/06/2006 14:50

anyone got their WW ready reckoner thingy for me to work out my points today? i'm at work and need to see how many i've got left for meal out after work (oo the glamour!)

just had a salad from tescos: cals were 360 and saturated fat was 4.4g.

can anyone work out the points for me please?

andyrobo237 · 13/06/2006 20:00

Wow that must have been a good 'salad' - it works out as a whole 6 points! I hope you enjoyed it!!

andyrobo237 · 13/06/2006 20:00

lisa34 · 13/06/2006 21:08

Went to weekly WW lost 1lb - really pleased have lost 30lb so far its been hard but worth it. Keep going ladies we can do it!!!!!

Moomin · 14/06/2006 00:15

thanks for the info. blimey - bloody 'salad' indeed!!!! it was a couscous, roasted veg, rocket and toasted pumpkin seed one. shan't be having that again! still, was able to go for tea in pub and had mushroom and spinach strudle-type thing which was only 4 points. and i skipped pudding.

we worked out that MIL ate a days' worth of points at the same meal! bless her heart.

am doing ww at home (skint at moment so not online either) with a friend. we are weighing ourselves each thursday. have actually 'enjoyed' this week and haven't felt like i've missed out at all. was going to do 'no count' but have decided to do points instead and it has been great.... but there again let's wait til thursday to see if it's worked.

Moomin · 14/06/2006 00:16

and well done lisa34 - fantastic achievement!

Dior · 15/06/2006 13:44

Well, I lost 2.5lbs this week, so total of 11.5 in 7 weeks. I'm happy with that. (I only have 3 to get back to the top of my healthy weight range...)

speedymama · 16/06/2006 08:35

I've lost another 1lb so I'm happy with that (now weigh 10s 6lb).

I injured my knee through skipping a month ago so have been unable to do any cardio exercise. To help me lose the last 6lb more quickly, I have really cut down on my carb intake and I'm averaging 18 points a day. I've noticed that even though the weight is still coming off slowly(pre children I was around 10s 4lb and went up to over 14st with the twins, aiming to be closer to 10s now), in the last 2 weeks, I have lost an inch of my waist, hips and thighs. Even DH has said that I am looking a lot slimmer so if it is visible to him, it must be working. I am doing a lot of crunches for the tummy and press ups as well as dips for the arms so they are becoming very toned.

On Wednesday, I wore a snug fitting dress to work that I had not worn for 3 years and received a lot of complimentsGrin. A great boost to one's confidence and a huge motivator to keep going. So I'll keep up my lower carb regime for about another 2 weeks until I can at least work out on the cross trainer again at the gym, knee allowing. We go on holiday to Bournemouth in 3 weeks so I'm hoping that providing the weather is good, I can wear a bikini again!

Dior · 16/06/2006 12:19

Well done SM!

lisa34 · 16/06/2006 22:10

Have found the most lovely dessert to have on no count - toffee yogurts from tesco's with fresh strawberries and raspberries - out of this world - give it is go!!!

sansouci · 16/06/2006 22:13

Hi, Dior. Remember me? I finally reached my target weight! Looking forward to leading in Sept.

(I think I deserve to brag a little! It was hard work. Grin)

Dior · 17/06/2006 14:24

Course I remember you SS! Well done...

So, you are going to be a Leader! Fantastic! I miss it so much - you will love it. It's hard work, but great fun, and so rewarding. I am hoping to go back to it when I have got my weight off again (although that is not why I stopped doing it - long story).

I'm so pleased for you! Grin Grin Grin

sansouci · 18/06/2006 11:27

Thanks, Dior. I went to a meeting while I was in England 2 weeks ago. I was horrified by the size of people, tbh, & the fact that some strolled in carrying cans of coke & packs of fags.

No-one seemed to take it very seriously. The leader had to shout & tick people off to get them to shut up while she was talking. (I sound like a right snotty old cow!Blush

I want to hold meetings in English over here & it was interesting to see what they do in the UK.
