Fluffy1234 · 26/06/2012 14:09

I'm having burgers, onions, mushroom, courgettes and peppers.

travellingwilbury · 26/06/2012 14:14

I am going to roast a chicken when I get back from the school run and do a boring mixed leaf salad to have with it . That way dh can have the same but no doubt with a load of new pots and butter as well .

FurCough · 26/06/2012 14:40

RE dinner - I'm still floundering about what weight-loss route to take so am planning making a low-fat spinach and lentil dhal.

The decision about low-carbing can wait until tomorrow Grin

Spinning! I am in awe. That's hardcore. It nearly did me in when I tried it. And I can do a Shred without toooo much pain.

Purpletoes · 26/06/2012 14:40

Oh my this thread moves fast. glad to see i am not the only one BFing. It is hard as I always feel hungry. i am trying to snack on fruit instead of chocs but it is hard.
My scales arrived today. I am 13st 6lbs Blush need to get down to at least 10st as only 5ft 2.
here are my measurements.
chest-114cm
waist-98.5cm
hips-109cm
legs-65cm
arm-35cm.

So far today I have done my 1st 30 day shred workout but I am going out for dinner tonight with an old workmate so need to try to be very good.
For luch i had a spicy ratatouille with 3 slices of halloumi grilled.

Tomorrow I am going home to my mum's for 10 days she is on SW so should be easy to do healthy also lots of people around to babysit so should be able to go for a run or 2.

It is lovely having others to chat to and encourage me and vice versa.

TwllBach · 26/06/2012 14:41

I am having scrambled egg on toast tonight as neither of us can be bothered to go to the supermarket Grin

Do you know what I have realised today? Although I haven't actually eaten anything, I feel as though I have stuffed my face today because all I have done is thought about eating! It's a bit scary how psychological eating/food/weight loss is!

FurCough · 26/06/2012 14:41

PS - I love My Fitness Pal! It very much appeals to my anally retentive nature.

I'm wondering if I should join Slimming World? I'm moving to a new area soon so I like to think I might meet some new pals through it..

chipsandmayonnaise · 26/06/2012 15:03

For dinner I have marinated lamb steaks in lemon juice, a little olive oil, crushed garlic and rosemary. These will be grilled. Served with greek salad, sans olives (have not bought any) and feta cheese. DH and the DCs will have the same, but with corn cobs and green beans. DH will have a glass or two of red wine. i will have water with lime juice.

If you are looking for ideas, last week I marinated salmon filets in lime juice, soy sauce and a little bit of chilli and then grilled those.... they were delish.

MilkshakeMaker · 26/06/2012 15:46

I've opted for cottage pie with lean mince and carrot and suede mixed in the mash, trying to get ds to eat more Veg as he's a bit picky, some of your meals sound scrummy but don't think I'd get him to eat it and I don't want to cook twice. Huff.

On a good note for people just low cal'ing, party rings are only 29 cals each!

Also see there's a lot of us starting the shread today... We can all suffer together!

I have a Chinese marinade (d) pork loin from last night which i'm just going to slice up and chuck in the work with a cheapo bag of stir fry veg and some wholewheat noodles. With a blue dragon sachet sauce.

BigBadBear · 26/06/2012 16:06

I simply can't low carb, it makes me miserable and my blood sugar drops so much I feel dizzy. Cutting out easy things is easy for me, but starchy carbs is much harder. So tonight I'm having mackerel with new potatoes and steamed green beans and peas. For breakfast I had muesli and for lunch I had sausage casserole with half a slice of bread to mop up the sauce. See? Hopeless at low carbing Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/06/2012 16:11

No idea yet about what's for dinner. Dh is out so I'll probably just join the kids.

Oblomov · 26/06/2012 16:16

chips, why are you not eating the green beans?
I need to join. I am so unhappy. 10 st 10 and at only 5' 1'', I am struggling to fit into my 14 clothes. I currently have about 3 items of clothing that fit.
I sprained my ankle of sunday and can barely move, can not put weight on it, so no exercising at all this week. Not that I do normally, Doing the school run is all I ever do anyway. And even then I often drive it, in the rain.
I need to cut down on wine. And chocolate. And crisps. God, I love crisps. I love carbs.
Am worried how much succes I am going to get Hmm

TheOneWithTheHair · 26/06/2012 16:20

Try it for 3 days and reway yourself. When you see a loss it is more likely to spur you on. :)

chipsandmayonnaise · 26/06/2012 16:59

Hi Oblomov... no partic reason regarding the green beans. Just i am loading up hard on salad. :) Plus am using bread and butter plates, so think the beans will not fit.... Grin

Hope your ankle is soon better- that sounds very painful indeed.

Fluffy1234 · 26/06/2012 17:03

I'd for the green beans as well for filling you up.

LollipopViolet · 26/06/2012 17:14

I just tried that gastric band hypnosis app that everyone's raving about.

Very strange, very relaxing if nothing else! :) Love how on the initial instructions it says don't listen while driving or operating machinery. Would anyone be that daft??

StealthPolarBear · 26/06/2012 17:24

I will be having some supermarket sanwich or pasta salad, am away with work! It work well, I bring my food for the day and so eat what I'm given. Obv it only works if I plan ahead and prepare stuff.
I found breastfeeding made the weight drop off me with ds. This time it hasn't worked the same, not sure of dd just fed less. Now I'm only feeding at night, and not every night so no surprise that its not helping I suppose.

StealthPolarBear · 26/06/2012 17:25

I can't do low carb!
Oblomov, sorry to hear abt your ankle. You can do it on diet alone!

MilkshakeMaker · 26/06/2012 17:28

I never lost any when i bf ds, I heard you needed a extra 500 cals a day when bf so I ate cheesecake every day went overboard. Stupid hv telling me that.

Eggrules · 26/06/2012 17:30

I hate baked potato and beans in the end. Carbtastic but delicious.

Having diet cherry coke instead of dessert.

slothprincess · 26/06/2012 18:53

Ummmm......diet cherry coke Envy

FurCough · 26/06/2012 19:08

I have a theory that BFing DS1 made my body hold on to all the fat in my body to act as some kind of fuel reserve Confused

I'm FFing DS2 (not for weight reasons, even I'm not that shallow Grin ) and I've definitely already lost the extra pregnancy weight in 8 weeks just by running around after two under three.

Now I have to lose the 1.5 stone that crept on in the year before I got pg for the second time.

Eggrules diet cherry coke is a bloody marvellous idea. Not sure I could hack the caffeine this time of the day but I'll deffo get some in for my after-lunch sweet craving.

And jolly well done to all the shredders. It works, I promise! I've still got the remnants of bastard SPD but I'll be back with Jillian again as soon as it's gone. She's meeeeaaaann.

FurCough · 26/06/2012 19:12

(but I kinda girlcrush her)

StealthPolarBear · 26/06/2012 19:55

Om having edamame bean and chilli noodle salad followed by a freddo frog tonight :o
