Yay - I was down 3lb this morning. If I can be good all weekend Hmm, I might exceed my target 5% on Monday. That's a total of 10.5lb in 5 weeks. That's less than I have weighed for almost two years. It is so bloody hard though.

BonkeyMollocks · 21/07/2012 10:12

Morning.
Im impressed with the will power !

The sun is shining and its done wonders for my mood. Going to dig out the shred today and get back on it!

Poor Are you measuring as well as weighing? Chances are you will have lost some inches even if you have lost weight. Muscle us denser than fat therefore weighs more.

Keep it up. I bet you feel better than when you do nothing :)

StealthPolarBear · 21/07/2012 11:08

Woo hoo married! Hard but worth it I hope

slothprincess · 21/07/2012 12:48

I'm impressed with your fudge making and not testing IMSP. I've mangaged to restrain myself from eating the leftover christening cake that DH has been working his way through this week. I was quite proud of myself and pleased it was finally all eaten but now my lovely neighbour has just popped over with a sponge cake to say thank you for looking after her garden while she was away. Eek! Well, we've got friends coming round tomorrow so hopefully I'll be able to feed them full of cake. 2 of them are pregnant so I'm thinking it probably won't be a problem!

I'm off out for lunch in a bit when the baby wakes up. Am planning on having a lovely salad or something, but we'll see how restrained I feel when I actually have the menu in my hand. I tried on a pair of jeans yesterday that have been too small since before I got pregnant. I can actually get them on!!! But the muffin top if a sight to behold, so I couldn't actually wear them in public. Am thinking maybe another 7 pounds or so and they might actually look nice :)

Really good to see you back Stealth and spicy bean burgers sounds lovely. Hope they went down well with the family.

slothprincess · 21/07/2012 12:50

Only just saw your post married, that's brilliant!

marriedinwhite · 21/07/2012 13:46

......just had a hot dog Blush

wherearemysocks · 21/07/2012 15:01

Well my weight has stubbornly stayed the same for the last 3 days, although at least it's not gone up I suppose. I weigh myself everyday (bad habit I know).

I have been shredding and walking loads and eating well. I didn't measure myself though so I can't say for sure that I've lost inches, but I'm pretty sure I have from trying on clothes. We are going away to the seaside for a couple of days tomorrow so I've been going through my clothes wandering what on earth I could pack that would fit and I was actually pleasantly surprised. What is a euro size 40? Is it 12 or 14 does anyone know? Anyway I got into a size 40 skinny jeggin style jeans and they fitted nicely and looked good, so they went in the suitcase. The bikini didn't make it in though.

So I will try and avoid the extras like ice-creams but I'll enjoy myself a little bit at meal times, it is a holiday after all.

Hope everyone else has a good weekend and gets some nice weather to enjoy.

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/07/2012 16:13

Have a great holiday socks. :)

InMySpareTime · 21/07/2012 19:10

It turns out today was my blowout day, I was at a work charity barbecue where I ate 2 cheeseburgers and drank 2 glasses of wineBlush. I did lots of walking, carrying and stair-running to balance that.

LollipopViolet · 21/07/2012 19:28

I went for lunch with my boyfriend after the gym. Steak salad for me, which was lovely.

Except I just HAD to have the sundae after, didn't I?

I'm actually still well under calories, even after dinner, so that's good, but know that's my blowout for the week. Couldn't even finish it, which is unheard of when it comes to dessert for me!

InMySpareTime · 21/07/2012 21:23

How are we all doing this evening?
I'm bored, and those cheeseburgers earlier have somehow made me hungrier (how does that workConfused?)
DH is camping tonight, are any of you about to chat to?

KatoPotato · 21/07/2012 21:52

Oh I'm struggling this evening... Had a pure gluttonous day with no gym... Feel wretched! Had some Pringles and now need them removed from the house! Went for a walk today with the family but ugh... Just ugh!

Just look at my MFP diary... I hang my head!

KatoPotato · 21/07/2012 21:54

I also have major toothache with my pesky wisdom... I still want those Pringles with hummous

InMySpareTime · 22/07/2012 07:07

Probably a silly question, how much activity is assumed if you put your job level as medium?
I've been adding carrying, tidying, and walking at work, but am now wondering if I'm double counting calories, maybe that's why I've lost no weight yet (only been on MFP 5 days so not a big concern, but want to get it right from the start).

TheOneWithTheHair · 22/07/2012 07:35

You may have been doubling. Once you put in your work exercise you only need to add what you do out of work. I think your work is pretty hard going though so maybe up the level of that?

InMySpareTime · 22/07/2012 07:55

As I'm part time (mostly doing 2 days/week over summer, usually 3) I may be more accurate changing settings to sedentary and adding all exercise as I don't know what is above usual activity.
I have lost inches already, but that may be due to my cold turkey stance on cake.

InMySpareTime · 22/07/2012 08:09

It doesn't make any difference to the calories anywayConfused.
I suspect I will have to learn to be happy with toning up and losing inches as weight loss will probably be much longer term.

chipsandmayonnaise · 22/07/2012 08:12

Good morning all!

Had a massive blowout (again) last night- 2 glasses of cava, and then wine. DCs were in bed early and DH and I ordered chinese takeaway! (Not only that, we ordered a set meal for 4 and ate damn near all of it).

Oh well.

Just had a boiled egg and a ryvita for breakfast. soup again for lunch, and honey soy chicken skewers with salad for dinner. i am following WW, and a way over my weeklies already, so plan to try and do damage control by sticking to 20 points until WI on Friday. I know that is not ho you are mant to do it, but I need to do something!

Does anyone have any advice on REALLY GOOD control pants that really suck the tummy in? I have some that i bought from M&S but they do not do a heavy duty job. I can fit into my dress that I want to wear (just) but post baby jelly belly just is not going down at all...... I was asked yesterday if I was pregnant again. :(

I have never tried Spanx- are they seriously belly controlling?

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday- it (for now) seems a little sunny!

InMySpareTime · 22/07/2012 08:16

I thought cava was wineConfused

Oblomov · 22/07/2012 08:16

I really like the idea of clean eating. I wish I lived on my own and didn't have dh and the ds's to think about. meal planning wise, because I reckon I could eat nothing but totally natural foodstuffs, if i really put my mind to it.
I have had a shit couple of days. After my anniversary WHOLE bottle of wine Blush and a big packet of 150g crisps ( I suspect I forgot to mention those, to you lot , at the time, which dh and I polished off together) double Blush, since then not good.
Once i fall off the wagon, I seem to really fall. Trying to remember all the naughty things I have eaten, but seem to have made myself conveniently forget !! ...... oh yes, biscuits at nieces party yesterday ,and then 2 glasses of wine and a lemonade at friends b-b-q last night.
Bugger, bugger. Must get back on track. Only one week to go.....
SHIT !!

StealthPolarBear · 22/07/2012 08:21

My plan to calorie count over he weekend has gone to pot.
Never mind. Will try not to binge today and get back on it tomorrow.

Oblomov I am exactly like you. It's so hard tk get back in control. Not sure what I can advise Tbh. Do you want to have another day off today and then on Monday we both need to get back to it? If you don't you'll be letting me down and sabotaging my efforts? And vice versa of course!

Oblomov · 22/07/2012 08:31

Well done on the 3lb loss marriedinwhite.
Chips, I think I too need some spanx for my dress on sunday.
You guys are making me laugh with your 'failings'. I am laughing at the bikini not going in the suitcase, the sundae that wasn't finished off and wanting the pringles to be out of the house. But I'm sure I'm not supposed to find it THAT entertaining. I'm sure it is supposed to spur me on to not make so many similar 'slips' myself. But it doesn't seem to be having that effect. I'm just laughing alot. I don't think that's quite the point, is it?

chipsandmayonnaise · 22/07/2012 08:34

Fizzy wine. :) My fave. So yes, wine then even more wine. Blush

have bought spanx online. Strike while the iron is hot. :(

Oblomov · 22/07/2012 08:34

Stealth, agreed. back on it, big time, on Monday.

chipsandmayonnaise · 22/07/2012 08:36

Oh, and I had scampi and fries for lunch. Forgot that..... shit.
