Are you still feeling on track TheOneWithTheHair? I hope so. It's good when you can be in the zone over a weekend.

Great going, Milkshake! If you're anything like me it takes more lbs to get between the larger sizes so a 14 is closer to a 12 than a 16 is to a 14 (iyswim) so you are well on your way to that 10! How was your night out?

Sounds like you are doing great, Chips. :) Well done.

How was the party, Kato?

Amazing how deceptive portion sizes can be, eightytwenty, I hope your weighing brings pleasant news.

I hope you've been able to have your run, Mamma

That sounds like a brilliant incentive socks, I'm sure in 6 weeks it will look wonderful.

Well, the size 18 trousers that were tight when I joined the thread can now be pulled down without un-doing the buttons or zip so there must be progress. I may hunt in the back of my wardrobe/drawers to see what I have in 16s or even 14s to see how things fit.

TheOneWithTheHair · 15/07/2012 17:44

Yes thanks Oddboots. I think I've done really well. I've not even had a drink. Grin

If I haven't lost at the weigh-in tomorrow I'll be gutted.

I love hearing about how everyone's going down a dress size. I'm not sure if it's happened to me or not but it will if I keep going! X-fingers.

MilkshakeMaker · 16/07/2012 06:37

Morning ladies, well the batteries in my scales have died so I can't weigh myself, I could almost cry! Stupid coin ones why can't all of them just be the same.

Good luck to everyone who weighs today, will check back later to see!

Oblomov · 16/07/2012 07:33

Morning. Lost 2lbs, so very very pleased.
But this whole dieting thing, is all consuming and has totally taken over my WHOLE life, and I don't like that. How do I change that?
Sil and niece came over saturday. Made them a french stick and and packet of crisps for lunch. Ate the same myself, without even realising. Was only after that I realised I had eaten a packet of crisps. And didn't even really enjoy the moment.
Normally would have eaten about 8 packets of crisps and 6 chocolate biscuits , by now, this week.
In preprarartion for ds1's holy communion party, I make a cheesecake. Never made one before. Then proceeded to eat a slice. Once again, without even really realising.
So my weekend didn't go quite so well.
But I still lost weight, and am back on the straight and narrow, for the start of a new week.

How you lot doing. Anyone else weighing in today?

OddBoots · 16/07/2012 07:39

How frustrating Milkshake, try to keep focused on the fact you will have lost, even if you can't prove it yet. I hope you can get a new battery soon. I have a stash of CR2032s as I am finding them in more and more stuff but I am often all out of other types when I need them.

Well done, Oblomov, 2lbs is great. The eating without thinking about it thing is very familiar, I was posting about it the other day in the Virtual Gastric Band thread (it's something I have found to be helped by the hypnosis).

whyme2 · 16/07/2012 08:02

I feel like crying today. I have put on 2lbs. Sad

Can't believe it really as I did walked miles last week with my friends dog.

I think it was the wine and crisps at the weekend and the chocolate eclair that didn't help. Feeling rather down about the whole thing now. It will be hard to stop myself going shopping later to "treat" myself.

MammaTo2boys · 16/07/2012 08:03

Milkshake silly scales, hope you're not too upset, just think the wait will be worth it when you do eventually step on.
Oblomov it does get easier, the knack is to master the art of mindful eating not mindless eating like your crisps and cheesecake episodes then it really does get easier. Well done on your loss.

Good luck to everyone weighing in today xx

MammaTo2boys · 16/07/2012 08:12

Sorry x posted. whyme sorry its not a loss for you today and that you're feeling down. But now that we are all in this together I hope you can find the strength to not do as we have all done in the past and start a binge day. Dust yourself off and use this feeling to make you feel more determined to get a loss next week. If you feel you need to binge or rant then get on here and we'll help you get through it. Be kind to yourself x

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/07/2012 08:20

Well done Oblomov. I will be weighing in after the school run so FX.

milkshake and whyme2 I second what MammaTo2Boys said but she said it better than I could.

slothprincess · 16/07/2012 08:45

Monday morning weigh in from me. I'm 12 stone 12 now, so I've lost 3 pounds. Really pleased and feeling good.

Congrats to Oblomov and good luck to the other weigh ins this morning.

Milkshake, that's really frustrating when you'd psyched yourself up for the weigh in. Could you do it a day late perhaps, tomorrow morning?

whyme, sorry it's not been what you were hoping this morning. As Mamma said, I hope you can keep the motivation up and get over this bump. I find that if I have eaten or drunk more than I intended on a day or couple of days, my weight goes up a bit first than back down very quickly. Keep at it whyme and hopefully we can all support you to not to turn a little slip into a "screw it all" binge.

StealthPolarBear · 16/07/2012 09:01

OddBoots, that's brilliant :o

Just a quick log on here to say I have lost all motivation and cannot get restarted. It has probably been a week now and I cannot motivate myself to get back on the scales. If I can manage today, tomorrow and Wednesday I'll be back. If not, I'll probably not. Save yourselves and keep up the good work!

MammaTo2boys · 16/07/2012 09:16

Stealth come back, don't give up, no matter how long you fall off the wagon for, you can always get back on. We're here for you when you need us.

OddBoots · 16/07/2012 09:28

Come on Stealth, you're one of us, you belong here. If you're struggling then find yourself a new way, can you think of anything a month or two ahead that you want to picture yourself slimmer for?

You have done soooooo well to have lost 4stone, imagine how you would feel now if you hadn't lost that, don't you feel so much better now for it? Imagine how you could feel in a few more weeks if you keep losing and how you could feel in a few more weeks if you gain some back.

Grab some sushi, take a walk around the block and keep your focus.

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/07/2012 09:45

Aawww. Stealth don't give up trying. I know you feel low now but you can do this. Take ten minutes to give yourself a talking to then get back on it. You've done it before and can do it again.

Well I've done my weigh in and I've lost 3lbs. I did feel good this week so I'm pleased I was right. Onward and downward. :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/07/2012 09:46

Oh I'm now 11st 11. I can't believe I've made it under the 12st mark. It seemed impossible at one point.

MammaTo2boys · 16/07/2012 10:10

Congratulations TOWTH on breaking into the 11 stones. Really happy for you.

whyme2 · 16/07/2012 10:15

Thank you for your encouragement everyone.

I will stay on track, I will I will I will.

Seems like I have such a long way to go. I might make myself a pounds lost chart to colour in as I go. I need to be able to look at something.

KatoPotato · 16/07/2012 10:56

Well done lads! TOWTH enjoy the 11 club, hope to join you soon! slothprincess welcome ot the 12 club, hope to ditch you soon! jk! Stealth don't give up now, you've done supes well!

My scales just don't correlate with the ones at the gym (professional ones eh?) and I'm 12 4 to their 12 2... prfft...

In other news I had the best time ever at the party, all my exercise has toned my legs a beez, and I was actually able to negotiate stiletto heels! I think before my little tree trunks were too weak and rubbish to handle the calf stretching? does this sound like I might be right?

I thoroughly enjoyed all the compliments from friends I've not seen in a long time, I wore a reals sweet size 16 (lipsy, so really a 14) dress and my best friend introduced me to strangers as 'used to be a fat pie!' - yes that's my best friend Hmm

slothprincess · 16/07/2012 10:59

whyme, I find visuals work really well for me too. There are free online charts you can put your details into and it plots your progress. Or the low tech chart on paper might be just as helpful for you.

stealth, sorry you're thinking about leaving. I really hope you manage to get back on track over the next couple of days. You are amongst friends, we've all been there.

TheOneWithTheHair · 16/07/2012 11:01

Kato it sounds like you had a fab time! I think that's your friend showing you support in a way that only people who are close to you can. Or maybe she's just jealous? Confused

KatoPotato · 16/07/2012 11:03

...Well it's all the encouragement I need to make sure that scale never goes back up!

friendly7 · 16/07/2012 11:06

Well done to everyone who lost, well done to everyone who doesn't give up no matter what the scales tell. Good luck to us all.
I've lost 200g LOL, have no idea if it's even worth mentioning but I'm happy with that although my favourite dresses are still out of my reach. I wonder when i'll be able to put them on and I know I could wear them in 2008. I know it sounds funny as they are not new dresses but I love the two of them so much, I'd love to have an opportunity to wear them for special occasions. Anyway, will try to stay positive and do my best :)

slothprincess · 16/07/2012 13:23

Thanks Kato but I just realised there was a typo in my weight posting. I'm actually 11 stone 12 pounds now, so I'm sure you'll be joining me in the 11's very soon! Sounds like you had a brilliant night. Bet all those compliments felt amazing. Not sure about the "fat pie" comment!

Well done friendly. Any loss is a good loss. You'll be slipping into those favourite dresses before too long.

Purpletoes · 16/07/2012 13:31

Well done to everyone who lost. I weighed myself today at 13st 4lb so a loss of 3lb not bad as I have visitors at the moment and been eating out. On phone at mo so unable to name check. Good luck everyone for next week.

InMySpareTime · 16/07/2012 13:48

Can I join? I did the global fat scale on Friday and it really depressed me.
5"0' , 87kg (not sure what that is in stone), BMI 38!
I walk 12-15000 steps a day, more at work, I cycle to work a mile each way once or twice a week.
I eat healthily, reasonable portions, freshly prepared food.
I drink 1/2 a bottle of wine and 2 beers a week.
Any tips on where to start would be fab, as I'm clearly going very wrong somewhere but not sure where.
