I'm impressed you can do full push ups at all, I always do modified!

No unfortunately not nice workmen, and not doing anything exciting either just messing around with the electrics, the building is nearly 300 yrs old and there are lots of old circuits that they need to find and bring up to date.

Getting new carpets on Thursday though so I'm excited about that, but that leaves only tomorrow to shred so I'll have to go hard core!

Talking of shred though, what size weights does everyone use. I wish she would say what they are using. I currently use 1.5kg but don't know if I should up them, I would have to buy new ones though so I can't even just try to see if I can do it with higher weights. Or maybe I should just go into a sports shop and just knock out a quick circuit in the middle of the shop and see how I get on Grin.

Shame socks. It's good to have a hot workman to ogle appreciate.

Wow you are all getting me really curious about shred. If you are all so enthusiastic in another week I may give it a go. Bit scared though after some of the things I've read on here.

StealthPolarBear · 10/07/2012 18:57

Well done everyone, all doing so well. I am weighing on Thursday Amd dreading it after the weekend. Still back on now. Agree with whoever said lapses are fine as long as you do get back on to it. Also desperate to get back to shred

StealthPolarBear · 10/07/2012 18:59

Hair well done btw for maintaining!
I am selling my s18 dress and suit and getting rid of most of 16 and 18 trousers. Wearing 14s today...they're a bit tight but i will outgrow them (iyswim)

MilkshakeMaker · 10/07/2012 19:21

Check you out Stealth Bet you are well pleased! I wore size 14s on monday (had a big ol' muffin top but shh the zip was all the way up!)

Its dawned on me that I havn't got long before my first target. I'm a bridesmaid on 1st sept. Thats 7 and a half weeks so what would be a ambitious but realistic target weight... was 12st exactly on monday....??

Have been to the gym today - had healthy lunch, although did have some cake, but am under my calories, yay!

Now, scales, MOVE!! Downwards please!

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/07/2012 19:32

That's fab Stealth well done.

Milkshake what about saying over 1/2stone. That's not too hard and any on top will be a bonus? It's not too much as too feel impossible either.

KateSpade · 10/07/2012 20:04

Weigh in today, and I've put 2lb's on. Ive stuck to my points allowance and been to the gym every other day. I just cant understand it, i'm so annoyed & upset.

I just dont think i can face another day of looking in the mirror. Having a baby has ruined my life. Angry

FUCKSSAKE.

friendly7 · 10/07/2012 20:21

Too much food tonight so I'm sure tomorrow I'll feel the terrible! Oh well.

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/07/2012 20:33

Aww Kate don't feel sad. I bet if you weigh again in a few days the scales will tell a different story. You mustn't give up because you will get there in the end.

I'm a bit thick about this kind of stuff but could you investigate the type of calories you are having and maybe try changing that? I'm sure someone with more knowledge can help you with that.

KateSpade · 10/07/2012 21:02

Its just frustrating when people are swanning round all skinny being able to eat anything they like and i hardly eat anything and put on weight. No matter how hard i try i wont ever be skinny. Im not ever going to give up, but i just hate it!

& my mum keeps commenting on how good i look, over sugar coating everything. She cant just be honest.

Kate I've just weighed myself before a bath: 12 4... And after 12 6! Don't know the bloody score at all! (and no my hair wasn't wet)

Keep it up, slowly slowly keepy off-y

mrstiredandconfused · 10/07/2012 21:44

Please may I join you?

I need help.

My name is mrstiredandconfused and i'm a fat over-eater.

I have put on 2 stone in a year (fractured spine which left me house-bound for months) and I now look in the mirror and I don't recognise myself.

Weigh in this morning was 12 stone 4lbs and i'm getting very depressed.

I know i'm asking a lot but can I join you lot in my quest to be smaller? I need some support and I don't know where to turn Sad

wherearemysocks · 10/07/2012 22:01

Welcome Mrstired

Kate don't get too down about it, this was exactly me last week. I do my weigh in usually on Mondays, I weighed myself on Friday and I had put on 2lbs (I had lost that in the last week) :(, when I did my weigh yesterday I had lost those 2lbs plus another 1, so I had lost 3lbs in two weeks. Not great but not bad really. Anyway I weighed myself again this morning and had lost another 1.5, so since Friday I have lost 4.5lbs. Of course I haven't lost that in fat in 4 days, sometimes our body just likes to mess with us I think. Keep your chin up, it'll happen.

necklaceofraindrops · 10/07/2012 22:15

Hi,

please can I join the thread too? I'm trying to exercise and eat better, but working nearly full time, commuting 4 hours a day and being a mum to a very active 15m old means it's WAAAAAY down the priority list!

I put on a lot of weight having DS and I'm trying to lose it slowly so it stays off, but could do with losing it a bit more quickly.

Any help you can give (and I can give back Grin) will be much appreciated!!

Thanks!

KateSpade · 10/07/2012 22:40

The bit about my mum sounded a bit stupid (she's an absolute lunatic) but she's over positive about everything, she cant just say yeah that sucks. Its frustrating. + she's a foot taller than me and she weighs less that me, after loosing 4.5 stone.

If it carries on like this i might have to start reaching for drugs.

arghghgh! I best loose 3lbs next week to make up for this!

Thats a good point eighty The aforementioned mother lost all her weight without stepping foot in a gym. I also read weightloss is 80% down to what you eat, if you get that!

whyme2 · 11/07/2012 06:58

Hello everyone and welcome to MrsTired and Necklace

I just wanted to share my slow weightloss story because I didn't want the slow losers to get discouraged.
After I had my dd (now 4) I lost weight quickly by not eating much and walking for miles with the pushchair. Then I slowly put it and more back on over the next two years. So November 2011 I was at my highest ever weight ( 17 st 8 Shock )
Since then I have lost 1 st and 3 pounds. Not a quick weightloss by any means but what I have found is that it is much harder to gain weight quickly now. So when I have a binge/day off my weight just tends to remain stable rather than going up like it used to. I am convinced it is the slow weight loss that has done this to me. Because generally I eat healthier and regularly these days the blips are absorbed easier.
My next goal is to get under 16stone and I have given myself to Sept 1st to lose these last 5 pounds.

I suppose I am really trying to avoid entering into a yoyo thing with my weight.

Anyway I hope this helps encourage people who are losing slowly - it is still worth doing it.

StealthPolarBear · 11/07/2012 07:09

Hi, how is everyone doing? Welcome to New people, tell us a bit more about yourselves. Kate :( it is so demotivating, but that's what your body wants, for you to think stuff it and feed it crisps. DO NOT GIVE IN. show it who's boss! You can do this.
I weighed this morning and am back up to 12s7 :( more efforts needed!

MelodyPondering · 11/07/2012 07:27

Morning all Smile

Well done to those who lost, some fantastic weight losses and to all who have stayed the same, keep going and you'll see it next week!

I weighed on Monday and was 11st 9lbs which is a loss of 3lbs after I sts the week before, Grin

Now I might have overdone it on the wine last night so have a serious question, would any If you do the shred while partaking in a hangover?

4 weeks until honeymoon, must stay focused!
