So another session at the gym with my Gorgeous trainer man......

..He said i don't try hard enough, and I'm rubbish basically. Twat.

StealthPolarBear · 04/07/2012 22:52

Sorry when I checked it was 320.missed lunch! Made up for it with huge rice salad now tho.
Kate, did he really?!

chipsandmayonnaise · 05/07/2012 06:14

Morning all. Hope you are feeling better today travelling and lollipop.

I am feeling good today. Had a good spinning session last night, and rwarded myself with a gin and slim after the dcs went to bed. I feel as if I SHOULD have lost weight already!! (Why do i think 1 'good day' should mean instant results while a 'bad' day should have no effect?!)

Today- egg and toast
Lunch- deli salad with lots of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, ham, and shaved parmesan
Dinner- baked salmon and salad.

Has anyone tried trampolining? They do adult classes at the gym I go to, and i am intrigued, but shy about bouncing my DDs around!

OddBoots · 05/07/2012 06:51

Good morning all. :)

Sorry you're not feeling well, Lollypop

Well done, FurCough, I hope your persistence shows on the scales.

I hope you have a fab holiday, TOWTH - I think the main thing is to get right back at it when you get home.

chipsandmayo I think trampolining is a great exercise if you have a good pelvic floor.

Do you intentionally eat late, SPB or does it just work out that that?

I hope he was a bit more encouraging that that Kate

eggrules I hope that lb is gone again today.

KateSpade · 05/07/2012 08:39

I was asking him about Arm exercises, so he showed me this fancy machine, put it on a really heavy weight and told me to pull it. I tried about 10 reps and said its too heavy, he responded with 'Im happy to help you, but you give up really easily and if you don't try their isn't anything i can do to help you'

I though Personal Trainers were their to motivate you, thats what i need someone encouraging me. I can do sit up's till the cows come home, but trying to get me to lift 8kg when i struggle to carry my 9MO round for longer than 5 mins! Im just a weakling. But i can feel the burn today, so did some good.

I will be back later to post my Gym routine & others post theirs, I'm sure its been done on here, but I've got a new one!

MilkshakeMaker · 05/07/2012 11:35

What an arse. Are you paying him? I'd def have had a remark or two to say back to him then spend weeks paying for it in sweat

I was really really good monday and tuesday and the day part of yesterday, but then dp got fat versions of curry rather than the skinny version so instead of 306 cals it was 700, and that was without the rice, wine and pudding! Blush

I'm planning on exercise bike and shredding today though so hopefully will make up for it. So frustrating to ruin such a good start to the week, was looking forward to the mid week weigh in and now i'm skipping it!!

KateSpade · 05/07/2012 19:29

No, its free at my local Gym. If i was paying, I'd expect more than what he does Wink But i don't think he'll help me again. But, oh well!

wherearemysocks · 05/07/2012 19:51

Well I didn't do so well at my meeting yesterday. I ended up sampling quite a few fruit ciders, and some flavoured pretzels. Then I staid after and had 3 glasses of wine with some colleagues. I had small glasses made into spritzers though so could have been worse. The real problem though was when I got home and got the munchies. Though looking on the positive side it wasn't as bad as it would have been previously.

On a different note, does anyone have any good exercises for back fat? I bought a dress in the sale that I was thinking of wearing on a hen night in 5 weeks. I'm hoping that I can lose another 10lbs in that time so the dress should look quite nice but it has a very open back, it goes as low as about the bra line, so there's that unsitely bit of a bulge from my bra strap. Any ideas?

wherearemysocks · 05/07/2012 19:55

And Milkshake don't give up on the whole week because of one curry, it really won't make that much of a difference.

MelodyPondering · 05/07/2012 19:56

Hi all!

I'm trying so hard this week, after no loss last week, I'm hoping I lose 2 lbs and get down to 11st 10lbs on Monday.

wherearemysocks have you tried the shred? (Sorry if you've said already) I think that's pretty damn good for getting fat off everywhere?

I've done day 7 of level one of the shred today and also did 10 minutes of level two - I'm looking forward to moving up but also dreading it!

MelodyPondering · 05/07/2012 19:58

Oh and 4 people told me I was looking skinner today, result Grin

MelodyPondering · 05/07/2012 20:03

Ahem, I meant slimmer. I'm not morphing into that frank bloke I hope...

Week one was really hard and I only lost 1/2lb
Week two was better and I lost two and a half pounds
Week three has been better and I am feeling more encouraged (even though have had the 1/2 a steak that dd left (you can't waste steak - can you?) but I think I have lost 2lb since Monday (must be good at the w/e) and that makes a total of 5lb.

wherearemysocks · 06/07/2012 07:39

Really pissed off this morning.

I normally weigh in on Monday, but I thought I'd just have a look this morning to see how I'm getting on. I know Wednesday I ate and drank too much, but Monday, Tuesday and yesterday were all really good, eating well and exercising. But according to the scales I have put back on the 2lbs I lost last week and so am back where I started. Feel like crying Sad

friendly7 · 06/07/2012 07:52

Hi wherearemysocks, you might be pleasantly surprised tomorrow or pretty soon, the thing is that sometimes our body weighs more because of period starting or other things. Please don't worry yourself. I also found out about my scales that sometimes I need to weigh myself twice or 3 times to see the correct figure, scales are funny things. See how your clothes fits. You might have lost some inches. Good luck with your weight loss.

MelodyPondering · 06/07/2012 11:32

Oh wherearemysocks that was me last week. I was so disappointed. BUT I weighed this morning and I'm down a pound (not my weigh in until Monday) if you don't lose one week you will more than likely lose a bit more than usual next week.

I've been on this diet since Feb, some weeks I don't lose. Some weeks I gain. But I'm 1st 10lbs down now, sometimes I just need to slap myself and remind myself of that.

Think of Monday, that 2lbs could well be gone plus one for good measure.

Don't beat yourself up Smile

Oh you should have seen me on Monday, I was a depressed mess.....do as I say not as I do! Wink

wherearemysocks · 06/07/2012 14:25

Thanks friendly and melody, I know I know, I shouldn't fret about it and I would tell anyone else the same as you've said to me. Why is it so hard to take your own advice though?

I'm keeping positive though, have eaten well so far today and have fitted in a run this morning too.

eightytwenty, I'm finding MFP really useful too. I don't always stay within completely within my limits, but I seem to be losing the pounds.

I'm still being really slack on the exercise front....unlike some of you inspirational people! Jillian and Davina are taunting me from the front of their DVD cases. I need to start doing some hand weights at least to tone up my arms a bit, as they are pretty gross. Next I post on here I resolve to have started doing that. Please please please beat me, shout at me and generally abuse me if I haven't.

MelodyPondering · 06/07/2012 19:44

Thanks eight I do need to keep reminding myself!

Ok sloth forget davina, get that shred dvd out. Since I started it on 27 June I have lost...drum roll please....

7.5 bloody inches!!!! Amazed Shock

Do it! Wink

friendly7 · 06/07/2012 21:01

You are very welcome wherearemysocks. I'm afraid I'm the same, when it comes to giving advice I'm okay, when I'm in the situation when I doubt something, suddenly I don't know what to say to myself. Staying positive is the key though, I think :) Happy weekend :)

slothprincess · 06/07/2012 21:43

Melody Shock Shock Shock. That is incredible! I am completely inspired!

FlatCapAndAWhippet · 07/07/2012 06:37

Morning all Smile

WOW Melody, another here inspired by you. Fantastic, well done!

My weigh in is on Monday but I took a sneak preview this morning in the hope that I'd lost a bit and it would keep me on track over the weekend. 2 1/2 lbs off. Happy and hoping to make it 4 by Monday.

Happy weekend everyone.
