Fantastic news ssmile, congratulations!

boredandrestless · 02/07/2012 08:21

Aren't we all doing well! Smile

I am off to weigh in this morning so will try remember to report back later. I still haven't started any exercise routine, really need to fore myself t do something. Blush

ssmile - 33 pounds lost is fab, I agree even a pound at a time is good, and more likely to stay off too.

Madcaplady - yes it did help, as did snacking on strawberries. Grin

friendly7 · 03/07/2012 21:46

So happy everyone is doing well! I was too up to dinner tonight. I had far too much. Must be more careful tomorrow...

Fizzybee · 04/07/2012 20:24

Been hiding for a few days went to my brothers graduation and was a bit naughty Blush

Gonna weigh in on Sunday before I go on holiday which I'm panicking about just need to be strict

I finished my 10 week closer plan last thurs having gone from 12.5 to 10.10 in ten weeksGrin so I'm going to wait until I'm back on the 17th and book in for another ten weeks

It's scary not being told what to eat though and working out calories myself

Well done everyone were gonna get there in the end hope to get to the lower end of the 10s for aug then under 10 st for oct for my birthday Smile

Congratulations to everyone who is doing so well - Fizzybee with - your dedication I'm sure it will be fine. I was a bit naughty on Sunday as we were celebrating DS1 getting a job (he has just left uni) and my particular form of celebration was eating all the nuts in the nut drawer. I put the weigh in back two days so I didn't get a depressing result and managed to lose 3lb this week, so that is just over a stone in all now. 4 weeks 2 days and 7lb to go.
Onwards and downwards, girls.

friendly7 · 05/07/2012 08:06

Hi girls, yes, I know about feeling like hiding... Anyway, after eating too much I'm back on track. Was a good day yesterday, hope today will be good one too. Good luck to everyone!!!

boredandrestless · 05/07/2012 08:12

Forgot to pop back on Monday. Had lost 1 pound so 7lbs off in 3 weeks - I'm happy with that.

My holiday is 5 weeks away so I am using that to keep me on track!

Fizzybee how does the closer diet work? Can you not repeat a week you have already done foodwise maybe? You've had great results from it haven't you! Well done Smile

Higgle - I celebrate with chocolate and wine.

Waves to friendly7 Smile

ssmile · 05/07/2012 09:37

fizzy that's great weight loss, I hope you have a really good holiday.

higgle Brill too and nuts are good for you :o

bored I always celebrate with chocolate & wine too :)

friendly I've felt like hiding all week in RL too
its so flipping grey and wet this week all I've wanted to do is eat. Not helped by baby waking up 5am start to the day I just feel tirrrreeedd this week and hormonal so I will be happy just to maintain this week, not expecting much loss, but i have done Shred L3 twice this week and my body is aching....
Roll on the sunshine I always eat less when its sunny :)

friendly7 · 05/07/2012 11:10

hi ssmile, yes to sunshine but no to too much of it lol. I don't like it too hot and sticky. Good luck with your diet plan. :) Good luck to everyone :)

Alameda · 06/07/2012 13:55

Stayed the same too but I'm not surprised, felt very hormonal, plus few too many snacks crept in. But did cycle Sunday morn, and shred today ,but after I'd consumed packet of jaffa cakes Blush grrrr I've not done that for a while! So had an Orange for lunch, and I've still got 400c left for dinner after hours walk as well so all is not lost yet....

Fed Up with grey rain though its been getting me down and then I want to eat, must resist! :)

Hows everyone else?

boredandrestless · 09/07/2012 21:41

Weighed in this morning, another 2.5 lbs off. Total of 9.5, which means I have lost 5% of my start weight! Smile

Today though I have felt hungrier than a hungry hungry hippo. Hmm

Am heading to bed soon before I eat my weight in food!

ssmile · 12/07/2012 07:53

Thats great bored and welcome eddie.

I've really lacked motivation the last couple weeks and plateaued a bit, I think I never expected to get to 11st but now my bubble has been well and truly burst as Dr called yest with results of my recent scan, I need my gallbladder removed and have early stage fatty liver so need to follow a low fat diet. Got told this in a 2min phone call so felt very flat, the Dr doesn't know I've already lost 33lbs, so got to get another 14lbs off and keep it off to get to BMI of 25 :(

higgle · 12/07/2012 09:38

Welcome Eddiesbigmumma - You want to lose about the same as me ( I was 13st 8 and want to be a smidge under 9st - I'm now 12 st 5 ) I'm still blaming a 17 year old for being the root of my problems - very sad. Update - the holiday is just over 3 weeks away now and I have 5lb to go to holiday target of 12 stone. Lost 2lb this week and can get into all my shorts and one of my swimming costumes comfortably now. Sort of confident the 2 Fatface dresses that prompted the diet will be OK too.

Up to now I've only been walking for exercise but I've booked a spin class and 2 x bodybalance for this week to get started again. DH says I'm too fat to run and will only hurt myself so I'll just keep on walking for the time being (I know he is only trying to be helpful, but too fat to run, oh dear. ) Keep faith everyone.

higgle · 12/07/2012 09:43

ssmile - I had major gall bladder pain 2 years ago and it hasn't come back. The scan showed my gall bladder was full of what looked like sand, not big stones like peas. As long as I keep off the cheese I'm OK. I really hate it when doctors give you 2 minutes and expect you to make big decisions - I just want to rebel and stamp my foot!

ssmile · 12/07/2012 16:47

Thanks higgle did you have to see a surgeon? I haven't been given a choice, just got told by GP you have stones you need it removed. I've had two "colic" attacks, one I collapsed needed ambulance but never went to hospital as they didn't know what it was, one at home, spent day in bed but no other pain. I don't want surgery if diet will avoid problems. Will see what the other DR says. Still its spurred me on I've shredded 3x this week :) been very good my healthy eating.

higgle · 12/07/2012 18:30

No, I didn't see a surgeon, the ultrasound scan lady told me what she saw ( and it was quite obvious) I'm a bit afraid of hospitals and said I'd prefer to watch and wait before committing myself. I think that gallstones tend to flare up a bit when you start dieting but then settle down again. The last episode was on holiday 2 years ago when I was helping my family eat 37 Euros worth of cheese up - not a good idea.

ssmile · 12/07/2012 19:09

Thanks higgle I thought they would say to me they would watch and see as I'm youngish, fit and lost weight, I'm nearly at healthy BMI, I've not had any other health problems this has come like a bolt out of the blue was quite a shock to be honest, Ho hum hopefully it will settle down if I avoid too much fatty food.
