Menus? Mine are very easy because it is only the dangerous period when I get home from work and I'm tired, stressed out and lonely ( because I get home first) when I pig out - in grand style. Unfortunately my dog is very ill at the moment so I have to get home promptly for him, and as he doesn't go for walks any more that is my excuse (or has been) for zero exercise for a couple of months.

Breakfast
2 egg omelette with tomato
hardboiled egg on one piece of toast
mini shredded wheat with soy milk
berries and yoghurt.

Lunches at work
Mrs Crimbles corn cakes - one packet of 5 - I don't buy the big packets as I can eat whole packet in one go
cottage cheese/Quorn ham/humous or similar
box of salad + an apple or banana

Dinner - anything, really with very small amount of rice or new potatoes and lots of veg or salad (I'm veggie) + fruit or yoghurt for puds
This lot usually adds up to about 11 -1200 calories. I can't snack on anything outside meal times because I just don't stop.

I am off to stay over night at a friends this evening. She's a feeder. I have saved my WW weekly points so hopefully I'll be ok.

Fizzybee · 15/06/2012 20:40

Well it's the weekend I trust we will all be good Grin

Had a Chinese yday but resisted all prawn crackers nd chips and we went to pizza express for lunch and I had one of their healthy pizzas made up for it by cutting down elsewhere so not gone over my limit and done some wii fitting tonight

Back on the wagon 100% for weds weigh in Smile dig walk planned for tommorow

Hows everyone doing ?

also when losing weight how far in advance do u plan an outfit say for a ball I'm going to in 7 weeks but I don't know what size I'll be then (hopefully smaller) so do I just leave it to that week and risk finding nothing or risk something not fitting At the time Confused x

Back from holiday had big pig out Blush seriously bad daily multiple donuts, chocolate, biscuits chips, realised despite my hard work since Jan my pig out sweet hasn't gone just been very tamed lately. Still it made me feel tidred and sluggish so I will remember that feeling as I climb back onto the BIG olde wagon this week. I had also had 3wks off most exercise as I had an injury, so dust of the shred DVD and back to 3x a week. I'm not going to weigh myself until tom morning so I don't know what the damage is yet. I've been trying to cut down breastfeeding whilst on holiday so if I don't weigh myself at same time, ie after morning baby feed I easily have 2-3lbs milk on board :o

ssmile · 17/06/2012 06:19

THREE lbs, 3sodding pounds that had taken me 3weeks to lose took one week to go back on :( Hohum back to trying hard again. Set myself new goal of 7lbs off by end of school term in July, that's 5weeks away. Back to logging on MFP as its the best thing that's worked for me for years, I've still lost 29lbs since Jan so one weeks blip isn't the end of the world I'm just annoyed with myself that after five months of retraining my body&mind I could slip up SO easily.

Hope you all having better weekends

ssmile · 17/06/2012 06:21

fizzybee I reckon 14-18lbs lost is a dress size if that helps? But personally I'd wait until nearer the event and use it as motivation to lose weight or go find a dress you like but get two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit nearer the time :o most have 28days refund if not worn.

higgle · 17/06/2012 13:17

Has anyone else ween the "walking diet" in The Telegraph this weekend? A new body in 28 days? There were some interesting suggestions about portion size and not eating carbs after 5pm too, though at the moment I look forward to a relatively normal evening meal as a reward for being good all day.

higgle not seen the telegraph but I do walk a lot and its really helped me shift the lbs pushing a buggy min 1hr daily.

Off to gd start today, walked to school n back with DD1, baby went to sleep on way back so did Shred dvd, went to Lidls and resisted all chocolate didn't buy any, ate a banana instead when we got back :)

higgle · 19/06/2012 06:50

Hows everyone doing this wk? It's wet n grey ere and I've had awful sleep with baby normally a receipe for disaster but Ive been gd and averaging 1500c a day on MFP and made myself Shred twice this wk so far and walked lots, so should lose 1-2lbs fingers Xed.

Alameda · 22/06/2012 14:31

oh can I join? I just set myself a goal of 20% body fat by August (conveniently going away on 1st) and 16 by October - which is 5kg of pure lard but somehow means gaining 0.9kg of muscle (how does that work? Will it happen automatically as a result of training quite hard?)

am on ridiculously obsessive regime of chicken or salmon with rice and protein shakes 6x a day Confused but is only day two

higgle · 22/06/2012 15:24

Welcome, Alameda. Your diet sounds rather oppressive - I couldn't cope with that! I've discovered that if I eat late I snack like mad in the early evening, but if I eat early I'm not tempted to eat later on. Have I really got to 55 without knowing that? Hope everyone is OK over the weekend, I always find it harder then.

Alameda · 22/06/2012 15:29

thanks, yes, I'll see how it goes - much as I love going to the gym and other exercise things it dawned on me that I work too hard to not back it up with a good diet, so I'm hoping the constant eating (they are quite tiny portions, the whole 6 meals only comes to 1200-1400 cals, am eating fruit too) pays off

if not will try something else, I think 5 weeks is long enough to see if it suits and is effective - actually quite like it so far, just have to plan ahead a bit and prepare it all in advance which in itself feels quite liberating

will have a day off every week though, or more if I feel I need it!

Alameda · 22/06/2012 15:33

5 weeks? I meant 8 weeks!

dawnpreview · 23/06/2012 09:05

Well done to everyone who are seeing the lbs dropping off!
I have been going swimming 4 times a week and swimming for 30 mins a time. I haven't yet seen any results on the scales, but definitely feel fitter already :)
I also managed to get through day 1, level 1 of the 30 day shred this morning! Good god it was hard, but I am very proud of myself for doing it.
