Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Seeing as I can pull my size 14 jeans down without undoing the button or zip, does that mean I can say I'm a size 12 now? even though my size 12s don't fit yet
Also, can I be guaranteed a loss tomorrow, pretty please?

I should be making lunch instead of being on here. Looks like I'll be getting up a bit earlier than usual in the morning, again.

FaceCrack · 15/05/2012 22:10

Well done bra, fab!
Those sound yum kid.

Hey up slinks, sounds like you've been having a merry old time Smile. How was the housewarming? How is T?

Please can someone else do the list tomorrow - I'm on call. Thanks!

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/05/2012 22:22

Thanks for asking slinky. There's been a lot to take in so far, but still masses more to learn, so it's hard to say really. It's ok I suppose, but I'd rather be with the kids. Dh has been better than expected though, and has been preparing my sw friendly lunches for me during the previous afternoon, when he has a helper. Tomorrow I believe is lemony orzo and prawn salad. :)

Food for today (green):
B weetabix & kara milk (HEb + part of HEa), melon
L roasted veg and cous cous salad (recipe from the new green book containing rather too many preserved lemons), apple, pear, banana
D butternut squash curry and rice, with mango chutney. 4 syns for curry. Prob another 4 for chutney
S peanut hi fi (HEb)

SlinkyB · 15/05/2012 22:30

Lucky you being able to do that with a pair of size 14's kid! Smile The size 14 Next jeans I bought a few months ago are really tight now (had to undo top button after dinner!) but the size 14 jeggings I bought in M&S the other week are okay-ish. Proof if ever it were needed that stuff really does shrink in the wash, right? Wink. I would love love love to be 12 but know it's unrealistic, boo.

House-warming was manic but good ta even if my depressed alcoholic Mum was drinking pints of wine and crying on my mates shoulders. Little T getting cuter by the day, he didn't want me to leave for work yesterday which was quite heart breaking. How's I? Have you made a decision on the job offer? X

grinningbee · 15/05/2012 22:34

Bra Yay! well done Smile

Face I'll do the list if you like. Always happy to be the back up girl Wink

Kid Thanks for the recipe. I think I'll be trying those. Yum yum! I'd also say if you can get 14's off without undoing them, then you must be a 12

OP posts:
SlinkyB · 15/05/2012 22:37

X-posts. Glad to hear new job going well so far; I hate being the 'new girl', and the first week is always so utterly draining. Must be hard leaving the kids for the day (and handing over control to dh!) but sounds like he's doing a sterling job Smile. Envious of your food too, always sounds so fresh and tasty. And Envy at your dh preparing lunch whilst looking after three dc. My dp is good, but he's not that good Grin

LakeFlyPie · 15/05/2012 22:45

Evening, lovely to see so many familiar faces back Smile

Face glad you're feeling better, the weekend menu sounds amazing. Where you off to on hols?

FHF congratulations on getting back to target, do you feel more in control again now?

Kid I'm a bit sceptical about SW baking since the custard tart evil fart tarts trial, but those brownies sounds pretty good, trouble is I would probably eat all 30 syns worth so will hold off baking them for now.

Bee what a relief to have a functioning washing machine again. I get very sadly excited about laundry these days anticipating a great drying day tomorrow think I need to get out more Blush

Slinky belated birthday wishes and congratulations on new house, hope the move went smoothly. Good luck with JM.

I managed to squeeze a 30 min swim in this evening which was lovely. Lumpy if you're lurking I really don't know how you manage 50 (I think that's wahat I recall you saying you did on your usual pool sesh) lengths of backstroke Shock. My thighs burn after 2, have to alternate 2 backstroke with 4 breaststroke to prevent drowning.

Food today was better, managed quite a bit of superfree (green):
BF: Berries, passion fruit + FF yog
L: Chicken (HEb) + salad, fruit salad
D: Pasta with onion, tomato + chilli sauce + few handfuls of rocket
S: Slice malt loaf (4 syns), garibaldi (2 syns), pear, melon, berries, Activia yog (1.5 syns - I think) 2 apricots.

Haven't been on scales at all this week so intrigued to see what DOD weigh in shows, jeans feel a bit looser but that might just be because they're ready for the wash Hmm.

SlinkyB · 15/05/2012 22:56

Good luck for DoD tomorrow Lake (and even everyone else). Well done on swim, I think 30mins of any exercise is commendable.

The only problem with doing lots of laundry/good drying days is all the resultant ironing!

YY Lumpy if you are lurking then please say 'hello' - miss your witty banter.

P.s only feels like last week that FHF was re-joining and now you're back at target - congratulations! Smile

FairhairedandFrustrated · 15/05/2012 23:10

Ooh I missed that bit - I'm not back at target, oh how I wish I were!!!

I'm 11.5lb away. Target is 8stone, currently 8st 11.5lb.

Hoping for even a maintain tomorrow night. Headed our with friends on sat night, but that's just drinking, no eating involved....

Glad work is going well csws :)

Bee never thought I'd hear anyone happy to have loafs of washing!!!

Brownies sound lush, wish I could bake :)

And yes, I have breakfast and lunch as normal, was worried when someone tolde yesterday they never eat AT ALL on WI day !!! Not good surely!

Hedgepig · 16/05/2012 07:44

Morning my lovelies, those Brownies look yummy kid, I hope you are all well. Everything is bonkers here at the moment, trying to sort out buying the house and DH getting a new job 'this all go!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/05/2012 08:01

What a bloody morning!!!!!!

Ds had a letter home from teacher yesterday, he was very annoyed about it, but not as annoyed as I was at him!!

He was disruptive and keeping other children back and i fully support the teacher in whatever way he deals with it.
BUT I'm a fairly private person and dh and I dealt with ds, speaking to him and explaining why you don't disturb others etc, banned the laptop, etc.

Anyway, I don't have the best relationship with my in laws. When I work on a tue night, dh leaves the kids there for an hr til he plays footy.

When I came home last night all hell had broken loose cos dd (10) had walked into in laws and told all about ds note home. Ds had cried and got all anxious, putting his hands over ears and crying. That might have. Even bad enough, but mil then told sil who doesn't actually speak to dh or I.

She visited mil and proceeded to quiz ds on "what he did"

This might seem like nothing, and I'm not a precious parent, but ds is a sensitive wee boy and when mil tolde this last night she said he was bawling his eyes out when dd told them.

Am annoyed at dd for going in there and telling our private business, am upset that mil told sil and that sil questioned ds (7).

I am probably being a bit bleuh about it, but dh was cross last night too, how come when we're do private, dd is a blabber mouth!!

FaceCrack · 16/05/2012 08:09

Morning hedge, hope move is going OK.

csws the first couple of weeks back at work sucked so it must be doubly as hard to start at a new place. Your DH sounds like he is doing a great job!

bee new washing machine AND new car? You are living on the edgeGrin. Any news on the house?

fh&f sorry, I read your message wrong, I thought you were back at target.Blush still 11.5lbs won't take long.

slinky I have a similar mother! Arf! I is fine, teething so grumpy! Haven't decided yet, I need 30 min to have a Grown Up Discussion with DH, hoping to do it tonight.

lake I think swimming us the hardest exercise. I prefer a gym class personally! I'm going back to the gym tonight, first time since I had pneumonia, I'm going to be so unfit.

B: ummmm missed
L: left over stirfry
D: sweet chilli chicken with lots of roast veg

Have a good day all!

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 16/05/2012 08:21

slinky you have been busy lately! and i also can empathise with the mother situation although i can bet mine is worse.

ff&f sorry you have had a crap morning, its awfull when in laws interfear in your buisness. Hope your DS has calmed down a bit and not so upset at being quizzed.

lake i cannot swim at all, although would love to learn (its on my list of things to do after driving lesssons as i promised the dc).

Kid im going to be trying out those lemon drizzles and brownies this week as they sound yum and im partial to a bit of baking also.

bee i will pm you shortly for the dod.

B - not had, prob wheat a bix
L- omlette
D - not decided as off shopping

about to head out for a run as sil is doing school run this morning, but going to take it easy as had a migrane last night and still feel a bit head achy and sick this morning, then have to pop into work to finnish signing some people off on training.

its lovely and sunny here, so hope you all have a lovely day.

Chocolategirl3 · 16/05/2012 09:12

Well done Bra made up for you

Kid all your receipes sound amazing however I think I too best hold back or I just know it will kill my diet!

FHF Shock at your SIL !!! none of her damn business!

Bit miffed, just unloaded my food bag in work and have forgotton my brown bap, luckily i put a tub of cottage cheese in so will have that with my salad and ham at lunch, hopefully it will be enough

Congrats to everyone on last weeks list Smile and good luck for this weeks WI x

grinningbee · 16/05/2012 12:54

FHF Shock and Angry on your behalf. They should butt out.

Face Ha ha, hardly living on the edge. It was the cheapest machine we could get, and bought with some vouchers I won a long time ago on here. And the new car is 11 years old Grin

I'm also having an interesting day. The house situation has got me so wound up that I wish I'd never heard of it. The council cancelled all our benefits in error, so we are in arrears on rent and council tax on both properties Confused AND we've had a £475 bill from Anglian Water for the other house as well!

I went over to it today and it is far from being finished. Plastering of walls still to do, they've dug up the back courtyard to damp course the house, then there's all the painting, woodwork to finish and ceilings to plaster too.

Oh, and yesterday the house next door flooded, and the water went through their celings. I do hope it won't affect us too!

I'm pretty much at the end of my tether.

So, food for the day:

Nothing
2 x slices hobbit toast with cheese triangles, yogurt and a banana
Quorn bbq fillet with mushy peas and a few syns worth of oven chips
2 x alpen lights later

Good luck for the DoD today everyone! Don't forget to send me those PM's

OP posts:
grinningbee · 16/05/2012 15:46

Yoohoo! Anyone else out there who wants to be in the list tonight, don't forget to PM me. I'll be doing the list somewhere around 9.30 to give everyone a chance to get on.

There are a couple of corking losses so far... (and neither of them are me!)

Grin
OP posts:
FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/05/2012 16:01

I should be home from group after 7. Will pm then, have lovely chilli on cooking st the minute!!

If I get a maintain tonight I'll be ok!!

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 16/05/2012 16:01

Nor me bee, thats for sure! Grin, hope you get all the issues with the house sorted, sounds like a nightmare.

KidJust made the lemon drizzle cupcakes and they are very tasty, if a bit on the small side. I dont know how the heck they got 16 out of that (must of been minis) i just got 12 and a couple were rather flat as hardly much mixture, so mine were 3.5 syns each as divided total syns by 12 and rounded up. Will see if the kids enjoy after dinner, and im going to try the brownies tomorrow i think.

dinner has been decided and im having a quorn fillet in whole meal (HB) bun with salad and wedges, coleslaw 2 syns and possibly a corn on the cob on the side too.

kid · 16/05/2012 16:06

Well I WI this morning and I'm not disappointed with my loss. Goes to show that planning ahead is the best way for me. Even those little snacks that I keep having (within syns) are not doing any harm it would seem.
I felt slimmer today, funny how losing a little can have that effect on your mind.

I'm having a red day today, something chicken based for dinner tonight is all I know at the moment. I'll have to check my meals to see what we're having as I can't remember.

Green days are so much nicer I think.

LakeFlyPie · 16/05/2012 16:46

Afternoon Smile

Am languishing on the sofa having a 'sick day' off work due to failure of my 'cast iron constitution'.
It would seem that I haven't learnt to avoid referring to it; last time I boasted I succumbed to amoebic dysentery.
Don't think it's anything so tropical this time, just The Shits which I'm fervently hoping DC don't get.
However Every Cloud and all that, as DC went off to my parents (they usually do on wednesdays) so I got the longest period of undisturbed sleep I've had for years (literally) and DOD WI on waking reflects my overnight losses shall we say. I did drink a couple of glases of water before WI as don't want to be rehydrated but 2lbs heavier next week Hmm.
Don't think my loss is really reflective of the true state of play, but it's a mental boost to see the numbers (if not slightly deluded).

FHF Angry on your behalf.

Bee that sounds like a nightmare, you're really due a dose of good fortune soon (in addition to the slim bod you've worked your ass off for)

Kid glad you got a good result, I find green days easier too. The only red ones I seem to have are Indian takeaway days and always seem to include a lot of ham (not part of the takeaway obv)

Bit unsure what to eat today as hungry but guts still feel a bit grumbly, so far have had 4 cups of Rooibos and bowl of muesli and FF yog.
Not sure my stomach can handle superfreefruit and veg today although the fridge is full to bursting with the stuff.

grinningbee · 16/05/2012 16:54

Lake How about a nice bowl of speed curry, lentil pie or scan bran cake? Wink

Anyway, ill or not they're great results. I'm handing out lots of stickers tonight, so get ready for some pom pom waving later!

Right, better go and see what to cook the dc for tea. They'll only fling it on the floor, but I have to go through the motions Hmm

OP posts:
brafullofcrumbs · 16/05/2012 17:12

Lol at grinningbee's last line juxtaposed with poor lake's current condition!

grinningbee · 16/05/2012 18:17

Ha! It wasn't intended Grin

The dc's dinner did end up being thrown on the floor. Poor things have very little appetite at the mo. Nothing I love better than grubbing on the floor under two chairs gathering carrots and cauliflower etc.

OP posts:
grinningbee · 16/05/2012 21:03
