Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

I got up bright and early this morning to make my egg fried rice but discovered I had no rice. I always have rice so no idea when that vanished.

I avoided a disaster and quickly picked another meal I had planned for the week so that was okay. I had some left over dinner tonight which I've put aside for lunch tomorrow.

Todays food has been:

B- weetabix (HEb), milk (HEa)
L- Creamy mushroom sauce and pasta
apple, satsuma, cherry layer muller light (1.5 syns)
D- Leek and pea pasta
1 lemon drizzle cake (2.5 syns)

Total syns for the day 4 plus a bit extra for 2 tsp sugar in tea.

Do you think I need to cut down on the pasta or is it okay if I'm having green days?
I've got pasta again for lunch tomorrow but I'll have omellete or SW chips for dinner.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 14/05/2012 23:17

No the pasta is fine for green days.

I've had an ok day but yesterday wasn't good in the end up. We brought scones home from holy communion as there were loads left over. I did great until 10pm last night when making coffee and devoured one with jam and cream :( disgusted with myself and really struggling this week. I attended a group tonight as I've to cover next week so got some extra motivation!! Will take whatever the scales say on Wednesday night and get on with it.

Food today - def haven't had enough Superfree which I'm annoyed about.

B: banana and kiwi
L: baked potato, beans, red onion and cheese (hea) followed by an apple and kiwi.
D: sw chips, more beans, gammon and a fried egg, followed by a pear and an orange with some pineapple.
Drinks today coffee (about 3) and diet coke.

I think I'd be happy with a maintain, but I never get away with going over syns. Ever.

Don't know what way tomorrow will be, looking very busy as have work in morning, then kids school fair then work again at 4pm so unsure when will fit dinner in!! Or lunch for that matter - I usually leave work after 9pm with a banging head!!

Just a question- what do you lot tend to eat on WI day and do you have dinner before you go to group?

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/05/2012 23:17

Pasta is fine kid.

Too busy to post properly as new job has started and I have no time!

I will just leave you all with this thought.....

EAT MORE SUPERFREE

As you were.......
Grin

LakeFlyPie · 14/05/2012 23:23

Reckon you should be fine with pasta on green days as long as you aim for 2/3rds superfree kid
Am v impressed at your crack of dawn lunch organisation.

It is awfully quiet around here recently, what's going on???
I refuse to pipe down until I'm at target Grin

I found a better SW book (from my most recent and brief attendance at RL SW) which features extra easy so could read up on that and perhaps throw a few EE days in. The syns section looks better too (and isn't annoyingly stuck in the middle of the book making it really fiddly to look anything up).

Reasonable day here I think (green):
BF: Berries, passion fruit + FF yog
L: Curried cauliflower soup and cheese on hobbit toast (HEa+b)
D: SW chips, speed curry sauce + eggs (sounds so wrong but is a surprisingly tasty dish, if a little totally lacking in superfree), grapefruit.
S: Pear, berries, grapes, 2 squares choc (didn't weigh it, could 2 squares weigh 28g??, will err on 7 syns Shock), cake (5syns)

kid · 14/05/2012 23:24

As I weigh in at home, I do it first thing in the morning before I've had even had anything to drink let alone eat.

Glad to hear pasta is okay as I seem to have a lot of it. I've got a couple of red days planned this week but as I really don't feel confident to try EE, I'll stick with what I know (R/G)

grinningbee · 15/05/2012 09:58

Morning!

Before the usual post of what I'm eating - FHF when I used to weigh in in the evenings at group, I ate and drank normally up to mid afternoon, and then had nothing until afterwards. I also used to try and wee as much as possible Grin

Now I weigh in in the mornings, so don't have anything at all until I've done it.

Back shortly - dd is demanding a drink in that 3 year old tantrummy way Hmm

grinningbee · 15/05/2012 10:36

Lake I shall be here too for the long haul, so don't worry Smile

Right then, food for the day:

Ready brek, 1 x ryvita with 1 tsp jam (0.5 syn), banana
Omelette with cherry tomatoes and some other veggies, apple and a yogurt
Quorn chilli (1.5 syns) with wholemeal spaghetti (I'm out of rice)
2 x alpen lights for a snack later

I am a happy bunny as I can wash clothes again after 1 week without a washing machine. Hurrah! Very impressed with John Lewis. Ordered on Saturday afternoon, and was delivered at 8.30 this morning. It's already being put to work Grin The pile still waiting is enormous...

Chocolategirl3 · 15/05/2012 12:41

FHF(are you mad? eat before weigh in!)
on WI day I eat and drink normally all day except I wait for my evening meal until after the class.

And since I got the tip re pepsi max I dont have any at all from Monday onwards - cuts out on the bloating.

I noticed that I didn't bloat the week before and during my star week and I think thats down to practically cutting out it out.

So far food intake has been

B- scrambled eggs made with milk allowance, ff yogurt, grapes and apple
L- Small brown bap, cucumber, sp onion, baby peppers, ham, salad cream, muller light
D- Will be Pork steaks, potato with tomato puree drizzled on top, mangetout and sugar snap peas again with tom puree

Out to cinema so see perv on Zac Efron The Lucky One,taking grapes and a curly wurly with me as a treat

grinningbee · 15/05/2012 13:14

Hmmmm, it's not like Face not to pop in and say howdy. Are you ok?

If for any reason she doesn't pop back in tomorrow, and if anyone still wants a list then let me know the usual stats and I'll do it.

Must be lunchtime now. Hurrah!

I am here, I am here!

Having a busy time at the moment, but we have internet back as of yesterday which means I don't have to post on my phone!

Right, I will do the list now Blush

Well done scotland for getting to the top of the list. Sorry I didn't know how much you had lost in total. Pretty good week all round, especially to FH&F who made it to target.

I am feeling much better now, thank goodness. I am going to try a slow run tomorrow - eekk! I had a busy week, a couple of long shifts at work then my family descended for the weekend so it has been chaos. What did I miss?

grinningbee · 15/05/2012 13:57

Yay - there you are Grin

What did you miss? Um, not an awful lot. It's been pretty quiet around here. But you need to confess fully young lady. Just how naughty was that food on Saturday? Wink. It looked lovely!

We're also still without phoneline and broadband thanks to BT, but I've bought a wifi pass thingy, hence still jabbering away like a loon Grin

Blimey. Second big hailstorm of the day. Come on weather, don't you know it's nearly flaming June????

OP posts:
kid · 15/05/2012 14:50

I've had a lovely day at work today, not sure why but its been a good day.
Maybe because I finished early and get to sit down for an hour before going to get DD?

Anyway, my plan for tonights meal is out of the window as I don't have any spinach to do with my ricotta and pasta. Looks like its SW chips instead for me and some lovely yummy eggs.

I must get on with housework things, but not till this evening I think. I've got door handles to change, doors to paint, a mountain of ironing and I think I should hoover at some point in the near future as we have a layer of dog hair forming.

But before I start any of that, let me pop over to FB to see which games need playing Grin

Todays food:

B- weetabix (HEb), milk (HEa)
L- leek and pea pasta
muller light, apple
D- SW chips, eggs and mushy peas
melon, grapes, grapefruit fruit cocktail for munching on later I think.

FaceCrack · 15/05/2012 17:00

Hi bee

The waitrose cooking thing was great fun. We made:
Roasted scallops with potato gnocchi, asparagus, broad beans
Sous vide venison with black pudding croissallant, poached pears, celeriac purée and cabbage with chestnuts
Lemon sorbet, summer salad and inverted lemon tart
With matching wines.
Needless to say it was delicious.

Diet wise; I've gained about 6pbs and it's hols next week. Sad I have no will power.
Food:
B: missed
L: omelette and salad
Dinner: pork stirfry
Heb: 2x alpen lights.

kid · 15/05/2012 17:34

Has anyone tried making SW friendly chocolate brownie bites?
I'm guessing they are nothing like chocolate brownies but I'm willing to give them a go anyway Smile

I'll report back later.

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 15/05/2012 18:28

Thanks for list face and the food you cooked sounds delish!

Feel a bit of a fraud on top if the list as it was only what I gained the week before. Also weight is 12st 13lb (start weight 14st 8lb ) total loss is 1st 9lbs. Have hit a rut of being good so many days then I fall apart so I have stayed the same wright for weeks.

Need a hoof up the bum!

SlinkyB · 15/05/2012 19:49

Hello you lovely lot, thought I'd de-lurk for a moment!

I've had my birthday and house-warming party so far this month, so am back up to my target limit (had gone back to 11st but now 11.3). The house is still full of naughty food Inc Easter eggs, and loads of booze from the party too. And I have zero willpower. Rain/hail has prevented any running of late, so have planned to shred for the first time in almost a year, tomorrow night - wish me luck! Am driving to Wales and back with 15mo ds tomorrow before dinner with the in-laws, so am praying I find some energy for JM at 7.30pm. Just feel all sluggish and not in control atm, so know I need to get back in the saddle ASAP.

face Glad you're feeling better now, and am Envy at your Saturday.

We'll done on keeping going everyone, you're doing brilliantly! .

I'm pretty busy organising my wedding and my niece's hen-weekend, but will try to drop in and say "hi" more often! May is crazy busy with family birthdays too, so it's all go right now.

csws How's the new job??

grinningbee · 15/05/2012 20:22

Slinky How are you? Nice to see you back in here Smile

Kid Please do report back on the brownie bites. I need to get baking, but something I can actually eat without feeling guilty. I made some (disastrous) banana muffins yesterday, but looking up the value, they're going to be around 13+ syns each Shock Still, even though they didn't rise properly H has still been eating them. The dc won't touch them...

Girders I'll hoof you up the bum if you do the same for me Wink

Face You've been very ill and very busy, so give yourself a break woman! Here's the question to ask yourself - are you lighter than a year ago? If so, then yes you do have willpower. So there.

OP posts:
kid · 15/05/2012 20:33

Just finished the chocolate brownies. I've never been good at making brownies but for SW version, they are pretty impressive.

Syn value for the whole lot is 30 syns, but I've cut them in to 16 pieces so that brings the value for each one as 1.875 so we'll call that 2 syns.
I've had to eat 3 though, just to make sure they are nice you understand.

I suppose I have to post the recipe now don't I? Grin
I do hope others like them too. I do love chocolate so maybe I'd eat anything containing chocolate?

Recipe to follow shortly.

brafullofcrumbs · 15/05/2012 21:01

I did it :o got my sticker!

SlinkyB · 15/05/2012 21:03

Awww, fanks bee! (wraps arms round for an un-MN cwtch). Have missed you guys, you're so fab, I bloody wuvs you lot, I do....errr...told you there was loads of booze left in the house! Grin. I'm good thanks, bloody busy and had a proper stressy crab on earlier as was meant to be spending the morning spending my birthday money round the shops, but ended up begrudgingly getting lots of pressies for others instead, grr. Sounds like your dc's are sleeping well now? My ds went through a phaze of waking at 5.30am for about ten days but seems to be nearer 6.30-7 again now thank goodness.

I've munched a whole tray of Ferrero Rocher in the last week, and am most of the way through a ginormous box of Maltesers, so a link to the SW brownies recipe would be pointless a great step in the right direction please kid! Don't know where you get the energy for baking after a day at work. Was chuckling at 1.875 syns per brownie too, ha ha!

SlinkyB · 15/05/2012 21:05

Well done bra! Have some Thanks and help yourself to a celebratory Wine - I've plenty !

brafullofcrumbs · 15/05/2012 21:08

Chocolate Brownie Bites

40g melted milk/dark chocolate
1tbsp vegetable oil (I used 1tsp anchor light spread)
20g cocoa powder
3 eggs
2 tbsp artificial sweetener
55g self raising flour
1tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp milk
little icing sugar to dust (optional)

Method:

put melted chocolate, veg oil, 3 eggs, sweetener, vanilla essence and milk into a bowl and mix well.

sift in flour and cocoa and mix again.

Spoon mixture into a cake tin. Make sure mixture is evenly spread.

Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
Leave to cook. Cut into 12 bits (2.5 syns)
Dust with icing sugar.

I only baked mine for 10 minutes but that might be because mine was spread quite thin. They were a teeny, tiny bit gooey where there was a slight blob of chocolate.

DS tasted them for me. His verdict was 'thumbs up' and delicious. I agree with him Smile

I only enjoy baking as I have a sweet tooth. I don't particularly enjoy cooking meals, but cakes and treats is another matter!

kid · 15/05/2012 21:35

Well done Bra
