Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Face! Congratulations!! Hope you have something alcofrolic to celebrate x

Hedge You have my sympathy - just moving was bad enough. Waiting for all the red tape and gubbins must be horrible Sad

The quorn fillets with mozzarella and pesto were actually very nice. Not bad for a quick tea now and again.

Thank you Face Just need to keep the effort up from now on.
Well done everyone!

I have a lovely crackly fire going, and am burning a big old candle I made pre-dc. All that's missing is some vino!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 18/07/2012 21:50

Well done one and all!! What a fabulous list!!

Bee, accept my Withered peach!! Excellent loss :)

I didn't get weighed, will update tomorrow after class :)

Face, fantastic news on job!! Is it a different area?

Am knackered, for bed soon!

SlimJimBra · 18/07/2012 22:06

Jodie sorry to hear about your mil, though your description of your dad putting all the things in silver pots really touched me. What lovely kind parents
Face fantastic news re job, well done :o and well done bee for being SotW :)
Sorry about the 'can't stop losing weight' problem - it's not something I thought I'd ever struggle with!!

SlinkyB · 18/07/2012 22:08

Well done all, esp bee! I sts. Got weighed and measured at final boot camp; lost 1lb, 2cm off waist, and 2cm off thighs, so nothing brilliant, but I most certainly did not stick to the 'no junk' rule.

Ugh, am in a foul mood. "Sunday" night blues, chin full of zits (have just decided it must've been the exercise making me spotty...so will duly give that right up!) and am this far away from toasting an entire loaf of white bread and melting mountains of cheese all over it (actually typed 'moantains' twice...Freudian per chance?).

face! What is this new job you speak of? Do tell.

JodieHarsh · 19/07/2012 07:54

Oh DEAR FACE WELL JOLLY DONE OLD THING Wine Wine Wine Grin

And well done one and all on a great list. My DoD will be on Sunday, so I will post my losses on the following Wed, IYSWIM. Although I'm not posting my weight. I refuse. Suffice to say I am the fattest Grin

Thanks all for being so nice about MIL.

Slinky doesn't that mean you lost half a dress size from your waist? That's great!

Right, I am not sure about some of my food for the next few days because now I'm drinking again I'm socialising too much. I'm out tonight, and on Friday night, and Saturday Hmm. BUT no-one's actually going to put a feeding tube up my nose, are they, so I anything norty what I eat will be my fault, and mine alone.

SO

B - coffee and croissant (btw I know this doesn't sound like a great breakfast but I find croissants weirdly sustaining, which flies in the face of received wisdom; and the ones I get from Paul are lower cal than a bowl of cereal, so....)
L - avocado salad from Itsu (yes i am obsessed with this)
D - er. booze?! Dunno. I shall confess my sins later BUT I'M NOT GOING TO SIN SO THERE.

Huffpot · 19/07/2012 08:46

Jodie sorry to hear of your loss and also think the silver and best china is a lovely lovely thought

Face huge congratulations on the new job!

Bee well done on the 3.5lbs off

I didn't make my meeting last night so no official WI. My eldest DS(2.10)has just had the side of his cot removed as he keeps climbing out and is playing up massively.
Both DS's are in the same(small) room and the little one (1.11) keeps "encouraging" his brother to get out of his new bed and fetch things.
So it took me nearly 2.5hours to get them settled which blew my plans out. I couldn't leave them to go to group as apparently I'm the only one with any control of them in the house!
I think I need a strategy for tonight

But I'm sure I had a gain. Its TOTM and I have been bad and eating crap. Have been baking and unlike Bee haven't resisted! So its all my own fault

Am cooking a SW curry this morning for dinner, all syn free as I have to hike out to hospital this afternoon for hopefully my last foot appointment for the forseeable future so won't get home to do anything then.

We have found an injured bird in our garden this morning so will walk him to the vets soon.

Off to the science museum early tomorrow with some friends so lots of walking then. Will make a nice salad tonight and lots of fruit to bring with us.

Food today:
B: Porridge with strawberries and banana
L: Jacket spud with beans and salas
D: SW curry with rice and veg

Chocolatemakesmefat · 19/07/2012 08:56

Great List, well done Bee on a wonderfully inspiring loss, Slim and Slinky well done on your losses too.

Huge sigh of relief that I didn't gain so i will grab my maintain and hug it close Grin

Huff my friend had a bunny rabbit clock for the kids, when the rabbits ears covered its face (the clock face) they had to stay in bed and when the ears popped up they could get out, this of course was for a problem of them getting up too early in the morning, but maybe you could turn it around for night time, such as look bunny is going to sleep, you must be very quiet and get into bed now or something nice and fluffy that they will buy into IYSWIM, it worked a treat for my friend with both of her children Smile

JodieHarsh · 19/07/2012 10:34

Well now, rather fortuitously from the lard-fighting perspective, I now have a late meeting which means I can't go out boozing tonight. So I shall be In Control, hurrah!

Supper will therefore be a puy lentil and roast veg salad with feta on top, and blueberries with honey and Total 0% yogurt for after.

Bee it really is an inspiring loss, you know!

grinningbee · 19/07/2012 10:42

Morning all!

I feel very Blush for all the well dones - it's only 'cos it's my first weigh in after being so lardy. Now if I do it next week, then you can say well done Grin

Huff Sorry for all the sleep related woe. I take it your other half thinks only you can wrangle the dc? Oh how familiar.... When dd was on holiday back in May she had a bed with no sides for the first time. First night was the worst, and by night 3 didn't come out any more. Of course, we have yet to try it here. She still has the sides on her bed and I am very reluctant to take them off yet.

Jodie Arf at booze for dinner Grin

I'd love to say I resisted the baking. However. Took dd to her playgroup mini concert/coffee morning. I'd made rather a lot of shortbread biscuits (most of which I had to bring back 'cos no fecker ate them), and the coffee kisses (none of which came home). I did sample one of my own coffee kisses, 'cos dd chose one but only nibbled it. I shared it with Thing though.

Food for the day:

Weetabix
Coffee Kiss (??? syns)
Omelette with cherry tomatoes, yogurt, apple
Beef rogan josh with lots of veggies, 2 x slices hobbit bread

OP posts:
grinningbee · 19/07/2012 10:44

X posted. Lentils for dinner instead

And as I said before - it will only be good if I do it again next week. But I have this sodding great big tupperware box of shortbread. And It smells so nice Sad

OP posts:
Clodaghdragonfly · 19/07/2012 13:46

I think probably you are not JodieWink that would be me.

I gained 2lb, but after my day in the sunshine at the beach, then taking the boys back to school on bikes (have decided I am not yet confident enough to ride myself while they are riding theirs), and taking DS3 to the park and twisting my ankle, I fell asleep (after I collected DS2 from his play and finished painting the bunting DS1 took as a gift for his teacher today), so I didn't get round to the PM for the list. Sorry.

well done on new job face.

bee. The trip down is bad enough, back up is HELL!!! (That's why we walk to get there nowadays - it might be a long way, but it's mostly flat!)

grinningbee · 19/07/2012 15:58

Honestly, H pushing the gruesome twosome back up from the point we got to was hilarious. It's bad enough just walking up yourself. Ha ha.

I'm feeling a bit weird. Got a letter just now with my date for the hysterectomy, and it's only just over 8 weeks away . Part of me wants to back out, but Freddie Fibroid needs to go. But. That means I only have 8 weeks to shift as much weight as I can. Oh crapola. See, I want to stuff my face with sugary stuff and drink red wine as I'm nervous, but I can't.

How soon afterwards do you think I'll be able to drive? I've asked H if he'll take a couple of weeks off to take dd to playgroup, but I hope I'll be able to manage after that. And I'm going to have to trust him to look after the dc while I'm in. Oh boy.

OP posts:
Huffpot · 19/07/2012 16:36

Bee resist the temptation of the devil shortbread! Trust me home baking is NOT worth it looks down at the increased number of my own scales

8 weeks will fly past! No wonder you're stressed with Thing....not only yourself to worry about but the DC. Anyone that can keep an eye on them for you?

Face I'm on the laptop finally so here is the quiche recipe
4 eggs
227g low fat cottage cheese
Loads of bacon (grilled)
Onion
Mixed herbs (optional)

Preheat Oven
Grill bacon and remove fat
Wisk the eggs and add the cottage cheese
Chop the onion
Add the bacon, onion and cottage cheese mixture together in a bowl, sprinkle the mixed herbs and place the mixture is an oven proof dish.
Cook for 30 mins at 190 degrees/200 degrees

Ok....we have the wicked sister in law visiting and have to feed the DC while she stares insanely at us

Oh the joys!

grinningbee · 19/07/2012 17:13

Ooooh, Huff that recipe sounds nice

No, there isn't anyone else to watch them for me. I'm just going to have to hope that everything is ok and I get out again very quickly.

8 weeks Shock. How on earth can I shift a couple of stone in 8 weeks? I'd settle for 1.5 stone!

Thankfully my electric whisk broke when I was making buttercream yesterday, so I won't be baking until I get a new one. I really have to be good now though.

Going to get the kids their tea now and eat a banana to stop me eating anything else.

OP posts:
grinningbee · 19/07/2012 17:14

P.S Good luck with the family visit. Sounds... fun.

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 19/07/2012 19:24

Cripes Bee I hadn't realised you needed a hysterectomy to get rid of Freddie, he better drive DD to play group after your op or he will have a hord of Doomers rampaging up the A1 to wack his bum Grin

Today has been (another) food disaster I am just crap crap crap at the moment

FaceCrack · 19/07/2012 20:20

Oh yes he'd better bloody help you out bee. It's natural to feel nervous about something like that.

slinky I think that was bloody good! Well done for sticking with it. How's wedding planning?

What are these low cal croissants of which you speak jodie? Good luck with weigh in on Sunday.

I've Had A Bad Day. I was taken out for lunch by my boss and had 3 courses. Starters and mains were salads - good. Chocolate pot - bad. Stirfry for dinner though.
I also haven't exercised all week and my legs ache to run! I didn't get home till 730 so no time tonight boozy weekend coming up with pals from Uni.

FaceCrack · 19/07/2012 20:20

Oh and huff thanks for the recipe. Where is the pastry? Hmmmm? Smile

Clodaghdragonfly · 19/07/2012 21:46

have managed to stay awake tonight! Have decorated plant pots with sequins, and filled them with sweet peas and made little willow frames for them to climb up - for the teachers pressies tomorrow. If DH is home is is meant to be making lemon meringue ice cream too. I will be glad when tomorrow is over. A child gave me my first ever card from a pupil today. I was very touched. I went to the shop and bought 30 lollies to give out tomorrow. The same shop sells lollies like those ones Little Chef used to give out in the '80s if you finished your kids meal. Yum. I had one any idea of the syns?

SlinkyB · 19/07/2012 22:23

2cm is half a dress size?! Really?! Are you thinking inches jodie? I didn't think I'd done that well, but according to friends I did, so feeling slightly more pleased today. And yes face I went to all nine classes so proud I stuck at it. Am now left thinking "now what?"? Though, are you now R4L is over?

bee there are times like these when I'm glad I'm crap at baking Grin I sure hope your H does all he can to help when you're in hospital/recuperating too. Must all be very scary, but sure you'll be fine (and kids too).

I'm very Envy of your craft skills too clodagh, your things always sound so lovely and thoughtful. Six weeks til I get married, and am starting to try and think of ways to decorate the reception venue. Any ideas welcome!

face been meaning to ask how your mate is? That had the abnormal scan? Hope she's OK.

Oh, and how did seeing your boss again yesterday go slimjim?

JodieHarsh · 20/07/2012 07:29

Clodagh That sounds like ACTUALLY the nicest presents ever! My teacher pals would melt I tell you: MELT.

SLinky I think a dress size is basically 1.5-2 inches (2 inches higher up the sizes and 1.5 lower down). 2cm is like an inch, right? So there you go! WELL DONE! You should totes be proud!

Bee luvva not surprised you're anxious about the op. If Thing doesn't pull his weight I for one am more than happy to belabour him repeatedly about the head with a rolled-up copy of the SW guide. Just let me know

Face a Paul croissant is apparently 220 cals, which is a bit less than a bowl of muesli. It's obvs less fibre than cereal, but much of a muchness on the sugar/carb front. And I dunlike cereal.

Now then now very THEN. I am going out on the proppa lash tonight. I'll also eat something or there'll be a Disaster.

Allowing for my usual work lunch and breakfast (croissant, salad at lunchtime), and 7 5 Gin and Slimlines, that leaves me about 500 cals for whatever we eat in the evening . I think if I go over, which I almost certainly shall, let's face it, I will have to try and claw back the cals tomorrow morning via exercise....

Anyway, good luck all! Happy Friday!

FaceCrack · 20/07/2012 08:07

clodagh that is such a thoughtful gift. They will love it.

slinky I think you did really well. My mate had a termination of pregnancy last week under medical advice. So so sad.

jodie enjoy your boozy night out. It sounds amazing! We are off to Cardiff later to stay with our uni mates = booze and late nights. Keeping calories low today and considering running tomorrow.
Got to go, Isobel pulling things out the bin again.
