I have my bike, and DF checked it over for me and said it's safe, so I will try a spin on it tomorrow. I don't think I'll be starting the riding to work until September.

Huffpot · 16/07/2012 07:18

Well done Face
What an achievement to actually do it and run it! Very impressed!

Oh FHF I know the feeling had a 95% rubbish day yesterday too

Woke up this morning to TOTM as well so I know why I've been so cranky and am feeling so god damn fat! other than the crap food I've been shovelling in

JodieHarsh · 16/07/2012 08:00

Well done Face - that's a good time, no? Took me 45 minutes when I did it, but then I was about 17 stone at the time Hmm Grin

Thanks for being so nice. She was indeed a remarkable woman. I am worried about DH but will just have to clutch his hand throughout. She LOATHED cut flowers and FIL isn't keen on fuss, so I think we're just going to take a little flowering plant (like a campanula or something) to leave on the grave.

Clodagh I'm well jel of your bike - what's it like? I daydream of a Pashley Poppy for, you know, when I've won the Euromillions.

RIGHT well, we are going to take dinner down to FIL this evening to avoid a takeaway disaster, so I wlil be a bit more in control than I feared. Not sure what yet but it'll be cal counted...

B - muesli with skimmed milk; about four litres of strong coffee
L - homemade carrot and coriander soup with homemade flatbreads , bit of ice cream

FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/07/2012 08:35

Oh Jodie, thinking of you & the task you have ahead of you x

Holy Christ - I just jumped on my shite bathroom scales, they saybive gained four fucking lbs!!!!!

Ok success express until Thursday!!!!

Chocolatemakesmefat · 16/07/2012 09:25

FHF if you are due its probably water retention don't beat yourself up

Jodie sorry for your loss hope everything goes well, have a hand squeeze from me.

Face your timing was fantastic! Smile so impressed.

Had a naughty day yesterday so will be reigning myself in this week as would like a loss before holiday.

B-day boiled egg, strawberries, grapes ff yogurt.
L- pitta, ham salad with salad cream 70% ff= 1 syn
D- jacket pot, mangetout, turkey breast

grinningbee · 16/07/2012 10:02

Goooooood morning!

Face Well done on the fab run Smile

Jodie Your posts are not boring, and I can match any epic post with my humdrum goings on, or moaning about someone Wink Hope today and tomorrow go ok for you.

FHF The break sounds lovely (arf at sneaky shag).

Chocolate Boo to only 20 mins of dress wearing, but yay to the weightloss! Can you ebay it and get most of your money back?

Well. I slight fell off the wagon yesterday. We went to Skegness for the day to make the most of the dry weather. It was lovely. And I had an on plan brekky, then jacket spud and beans while out... but then both dc didn't eat all of their icecreams so H had one and I had the other. I know I should have binned it. And by the time we got in it was late so we had an, erm, off plan tea.

Anyway, back on it today.

Food for the day:

Ready brek, 1 x ryvita with 1 tsp reduced sugar marmalde (0.5 syn), banana
Savoury rice with salad, yogurt, apple
Quorn lasagne

2 x alpen lights (heb)

By the way - I found my old scales. They weigh me 3.5lb heavier than the new ones. Which set do you think I should go with? Am happy to do what you lot advise, but it might make me look as if I gained this week if I go back to the old ones. I'm not fussed to be honest, maybe using the heavier weight would be better? What do you think FHF?

Oh, and I got H to weigh himself on both sets (so I could check they were different Wink) and he weighs 285.5lb on my old scales. Yikes. And he reckons he doesn't eat in the day or go off sneaky drinking. Oh look, a flying pig!

Clodaghdragonfly · 16/07/2012 17:09

hi all.
I have to confess to an off-plan day too. But I have played basketball with 3x groups of 12x 6/7 year olds this afternoon, plus a walk. am going to the beach with approx 50 5/6/7 year olds on Weds (no lunch for me - I don't eat anywhere near sand!!!)
pondering on TOTM too as am in a dark place filled with self-loathingSad

to you jodie.

Clodaghdragonfly · 16/07/2012 18:55

FFS, loving cooked and frozen healthy chicken pasta bake has gone off. Hasty tea of scrambled eggs and beans for the boys. Will have to brave the village shop with the boys to find something for DH.

DS1 (15) is narked because DS3 has gone straight outside to play on his bike after tea... he claims he was never allowed to play out after teaHmm

my life is like one of those bad chick-lit novels about SAHMs... but without the SAHD love-interestWink

ah well, the walk will do me good!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/07/2012 19:55

Bee, are you wise? Of course I'd weigh on the lighter scales, every time!!! Grin

Lunch today was ham salad, loads of Superfree vegetables, diet coke to drink.

Dinner was omelette, with tomatoes, onion, mushrooms and ham (hea cheese)

Going to chop fruit up now for Afters!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/07/2012 19:56

Aw clodagh, sucks about the pasta dish :(

pixiestix · 16/07/2012 20:45

Had a beautifully on plan day and then ate 200g Dairy Milk Angry
I am NO GOOD.

Clodaghdragonfly · 16/07/2012 21:31

tagged an extra bit onto the walk to the shopSmile

I really enjoyed the sports outing this afternoon, and could be convinced about the mood lifting power of exerciseShock (also went to see DS2s school production this morning which is about olympic history and had lots of rousing songs about pushing yourself to the limit and being the best etc - quite inspiring). Am now wondering if instead of silly early-morning waking/going back to sleep circle, I should get up and do some sort of exercise. My only concern is that instead of being enthused and full of energy for the rest of the day, I'll be totally knackered by lunchtime and end up asleep in front of the Muppets while the kids run feral again

FairhairedandFrustrated · 16/07/2012 22:12

I know for me, exercising first thing in morning energises me :)

I had to work extra hours today and wasn't home til late, so haven't shredded today either, but tomorrow is a brand new day!! And level 2 (I find) is slightly easier than level 1!!!

Had a cookie and a Hifi bar about 2 mins ago.... within my syns but had planned on having none!!!

Dh & kids had chicken and ham pie I drooled smelt nice...

FaceCrack · 16/07/2012 22:27

Another vote for the lighter ones bee

pixie don't worry about it, tomorrow is a new day. How you doing?

clodagh exercise will make you more tired, especially initially. However, it's so important to help get the weight off and I certainly sleep better if I've been out and about.

My long day was , well, long. I'm tired. I've stuck pretty much to plan bar 6 tortilla crisps. I had a hot choc, 3 syns, and 2 cream crackers, 3 syns. So I should be within limits. Smile

FaceCrack · 17/07/2012 07:48

Good morning all. The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hooray! Thinking of you today jodieharsh.

Food:
B: fruit and ff yog
L: smoked salmon pasta salad
D: chicken pie with brocolli
Snacks: 2x alpen light (heb), fruit and yog

FaceCrack · 17/07/2012 13:12
FairhairedandFrustrated · 17/07/2012 13:42

Lmao, how exactly does ones loin wave? Grin

I had an early start today, deadline day and my colleague is on holidays, so all alone!

Am home now, just polished and am getting geared up to run the Hoover round the place before my second job of the day!!

All free and Superfree foods here til Thursday...

Clodaghdragonfly · 17/07/2012 14:03

Hi FHF.

I have been out on my bike (rusty 3rd hand mountain bike BTW). I went to stay and play at DS3s class first thing, and DH got called away by his new boss, so I was bored when I got home, and as I am in a state of tension about taking DS1 to the nurse for his jabs later, I decided to give the bike a whirl... I stayed on!!! also went to work on it. Probably only amounts to 3x 10 mins, but I have to build up slowlyWink

Clodaghdragonfly · 17/07/2012 14:04
Wink
FairhairedandFrustrated · 17/07/2012 14:27

LIKE clodagh!!! Both the biking and the pork chop waving Grin

Dh is clearing a cupboard under the kitchen sink, it's fkn gross!!! A pipe has been leaking and there's damp everywhere.... He's also found about 10 half drank bottles of cola, lemonade and orange juice!!! (of course it's MY fault)

Ho hum! Went to mop the floor but the mop has died since I lady used it (bloody dogs!) so it shall have to wait til tomorrow!!!

FaceCrack · 17/07/2012 14:54

Loin? Loon, obviously.
Grin

Well done clodagh for getting on your bike, in the literal sense of course Smile.

That sounds grim fair.

I've been so productive, made tonights chicken pie and a vat of Cheesy Veg for DD. also cleaned and tidied the downstairs. . I'm just waiting on DD waking up, c'mon child!
