Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Its very hot here, 26 today I think. It was raining when I left for work but still very hot but very sunny for the rest of the day.

I didn't continue to be good for the rest of the evening as I had some wine. I haven't had any wine for ages so it literally took one glass to make me feel tipsy! I then decided to use my power plate which was hilarious. DS fell on my bed laughing his head off as I was wobbling on the machine. Thats the whole point of it but I'm glad he had a good laugh, even ig it was at my expense. I am still unsure if the power plate actually works, I haven't used it enough to see any real results. It would be great if it does work as its so easy!

Definitely no more food or wine for me tonight. I'll have pepsi or water and no food at all. I suppose I have to declare the chips I had with dinner, argh, need to buy some salad for original days. Tomorrow is a green day and take away day too so a day off cooking for me.
We're off out for a meal tomorrow to a steak house so I'll have the steak and try to resist the side order of chips. I'll have to stick to diet coke as one wine will lead to another and another. How many syns is a glass of wine anyway?

I did a tiny little run at work today and I think I don't look too bad at running, even when wearing dodgy shoes. I wonder if I can pull off running without sounding like a herd of elephants? Worth a try and some point I suppose. Exercise is so hard though and I am such a tired wimp! Grin

FairhairedandFrustrated · 28/06/2012 22:19

jealous of all the nice weather you're a;; having! The rain is currently battering off my bedroom window and my poor wee husband is out on night shifts!!

I really like having so much salad on an original day, I am really enjoying doing that for a change. I do think the EE plan made me a bit lazy.

Have more gorgeous strawberries for breakfast in the morning and planning on doing shred before bed tomorrow night as have a really full on day and won't be home until about 9.30/10am.

Kim, on those power plates, I noticed a lot of my members either maintained or gained weight when using them. I personally think that unless your heart rate is being raised then there's no point. One member was very honest and told me that she thought as she was doing X amount of minutes on the power plate, she 'deserved' a treat ie: a snickers afterwards. They can lull you into a false sense of security.

kid · 28/06/2012 23:28

I don't feel that the power plate means I've burnt any fat off or deserve any treats, I just want it to tone me up. I have worked really hard in the past at the gym and definitely saw a difference but the gym is such hard work and it takes a couple of hours out of my evening. The power plate can be done in 10 minute slots which is ideal for lazy me

FairhairedandFrustrated · 28/06/2012 23:34

Thats why I started shred, 20 minutes is about as long as I can hold my attention span! Grin

kid · 28/06/2012 23:42

shred is so hard though, I have to take several breaks during it. I usually only stop for 5 seconds or so. I really don't think I could go all the way through.

I keep thinking about jogging half way home from work. But as I get to the 1/2 way point, the road looks so long and there always seems to be workmen around and I don't fancy showing myself up by huffing and puffing my way down the street.
I am beginning to think shred will be a better option for me but would love to be able to run.

I need a running partner (who is less fit than me!)

FaceCrack · 29/06/2012 08:01

Why don't you use shred as a bit of a challenge then kid? It's supposed to be hard work or it wouldn't be exercise!!

Quick post as entertaining IL all bloody day.
B: weetabix and fruit
L: homemade chicken soup, fruit and yog
D: sw chicken pie from the mag, brocolli

FaceCrack · 29/06/2012 15:49

Just me today then?

kid · 29/06/2012 17:35

I'm here, but been very busy at work today. I think I will give the shred a go but not until Monday. I know it works but I hurt so much after doing it. If only there was an easy way to get fit and look fabulous.

SlimJimBra · 29/06/2012 19:53

I'm here now, stupid rl work getting in the way of mn time!

Hedgepig · 29/06/2012 20:14

I'm here, I've been baking most if today for tomorrows school fete I probably shouldn't have "tested" as much as I have Grin.

You ladies are sooooooo brave even having the Shed DVD in the house, it scares me witless

Chocolategirl3 · 29/06/2012 20:14

Here, but not being very good. I am my own worst enemy, I loose some weight , get complacent and pig out. I can not get back in the right frame of mind! Arrrrgggghhhh

Today I have had my meals as usual but its the in between things that are naughty ie creme egg, toblerone triangles, jaffa cakes, Easter egg from the kind person who brought that into work. Need a good talking to ladies!

Chocolategirl3 · 29/06/2012 20:23

Oh and I forgot to mention the curly wurly after lunch too :(

Hedgepig · 29/06/2012 21:10

chocgirl if you can suss out why we all self sabotage then you have a best selling diet book on your hands.

FaceCrack · 29/06/2012 22:23

I slipped up tonight and had a small slice of cheesecake and 1/3rd bottle of wine. Not horrendous but not dead pleased either. I've plugged it into myfitnesspal and I'm still under calories due to a long walk then run.

choc don't be too harsh on yourself. Draw a line under it and get back on the horse tomorrow.

How is the boot camp slinky?

SlinkyB · 29/06/2012 22:39

Evening Doomers! Started three week boot camp tonight and lady running it told us how to lose weight: eat less! Durgh. We had to sign little contracts that said we wouldn't eat junk food/drink alcohol or 'junk' drinks for the duration Shock and she gave us wee note pads to write out food diaries. Also gave us our own little recipe books which look good.

The exercise was a lot like shred; short, 35 secs, bursts of intense exercises. We did ten different ones, with 35 secs rest between each one, then had 2 min break and did them all over again! The sweat poured outta me, and my legs were like jelly afterwards. Instructor said if you don't feel like this, you're not doing it right!!

She measured my waist and thighs (depressing) and promised that if we stick to the regime we'll see results.

So, surviving the IL's Face? How many syns have been used up on GIN?

choc - write today off and start again. We've all done it a hundred times. Just get back on the SW wagon tomorrow matey xx

SlinkyB · 29/06/2012 22:43

X-posts! I'm so feckin slowwww on this tablet! Boot Camp was HARD!

Mmm, cheesecake and wine . Must confess to eating a small handful of Haribo, a banana, and some Onken yogurt since getting in. The ink was still wet on my 'junk free contract' when I ate those sweets!! Argh.

Well done on run, sounds like you earn your treats.

kid · 29/06/2012 23:03

The boot camp I went to recently sounds quite similar Slinky. The instructor at our one made us do a station for 60 seconds and then move straight on to the next one for 60 seconds and then the next. There were 6 stations altogether and after that, we got a 60 second break.
I went twice but couldn't face going back!

SlinkyB · 29/06/2012 23:10

I was a bit pathetic tonight to be honest, but that's to be expected really. Hoping to see some improvement in fitness over the time. Next one is in a local park on Sunday am, she mentioned we'd be hopping, skipping and jumping in short bursts Smile

How's the shredding going fhf? Are you aching all over?

FairhairedandFrustrated · 29/06/2012 23:36

Pardon my Irish, but fuck me pink! My poor wee legs done't even know who they belong to anymore! I walked like John wayne all day today and ache all over!!

Wasn't home until 9.40pm - but guess what??/ I shredded Grin then boked

Food today has been good! Original day (although it could be EE too apart from the 2 HEBs)

Dh is working so I've got the rest of the day to entertain a tired and miserable toddler Grin.
