Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

That's awful bra :( I've been a target member at a rl group twice before, and a big song and dance was made both times! (they were several years apart and in different towns, different consultants etc). I know they don't charge you any more, but I always got the impression that the opportunity to show the group that SW really does work was taken to show the other members Confused

Sorry you had a sucky night, but yes, we are all very proud of you here and I was even telling my dp about you and your success last night.

SlimJimBra · 27/06/2012 08:12

Thanks slinky :) I'll get over myself soon, promise Wink

Huffpot · 27/06/2012 08:20

SlimJimBra that is absolutey outstanding, fabulous and fantastic news!
How cool are you?

That's a silly consultant not to make a fuss of you!

I have no idea of what happens when target is reached either so I'm no good for you

Lol yeah 11 month gap was not planned - they were both happy accidents bless them. We figure the youngest is meant to be though as I had to have another ovarian cyst removed when I was 9 weeks pregnant with him

Shredded last night too as I didn't get to the pool :-)

How muggy is it today?

Good luck with WI everyone!

last congratulatory hooray for SlimJimBra

Hedgepig · 27/06/2012 10:03

Morning, Bra I do think the whole group is so individual to who the consultant is, mine did make a little song and dance when i got to target but she is generally hopeless which is why stopped staying to group after my 1st few weeks anyway.

So the idea about maintaining is that you gradually increase the HEAs or Bs I think by 1 or 2 a week until you get to a point you are no longer loosing weight. From personal experience what you shouldn't do is think you can start eating a shed load of biscuits / chocolate and slurping wine like it is going out of fashion Grin

FairhairedandFrustrated · 27/06/2012 10:52

Slimjim, am totally thrilled for you!! for all your hard work and dedication to the Food Optimising plan and all those fabulous decisions you have made, the commitment you have shown and all the support you have given to your fellow members, I salute you!!

Now you're a target member, which is totally amazing, as you've set your own goals week and week and strived to achieve them, you can aim to stay 3lb either side of your target. If, at any time, for whatever reason, you decide to move this, ie: want to lose another 7lb or realise you feel better a bit heavier, you will become a paying member until you get back into target again.

If you find you are still losing weight you can have an extra Healthy Extra rather than more syns (as that just teaches bad habits again!)

And your consultant should have given you a little plae blue booklet entitled 'Slim For Life' which all target members get now, full of ideas and hint and tips to keep you at target!

((also, just wanted to say, my group is what it is because of and thanks to all my wonderful target members who motivate all the others week after week, none of my members are £££ signs to me. Believe me, unless you have a mega sized group, most of us are in this for the love of the plan and the love of the job. I just like people :)))

DOD for me today.... feel bloated, but will keep going. 6wks til my holiday and I will be back in target!!!!

Chocolategirl3 · 27/06/2012 15:35

Bra you are amazing, bet you feel it too xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Many years ago when I hit my target, I didn't get any advice on what to do to stay at target so had the odd packet of crisp here and there, before I knew it, it was all back on :( make sure you do it the right way, such a fabulous achievement well done xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

SlimJimBra · 27/06/2012 18:23

I have had a day off sw today and had a cream tea to celebrate getting to target. Back on plan tomorrow though! Thanks for all your kind words, you've cheered me up no end. I think I might try to find another group (or maybe just pimp my way round a few locally) as my group is big and every week there are new joiners so I'm beginning to wonder about the consultant's motivation.

Well done bra! Fabulous achievement!

I missed weigh in this week because I was ill - proper had to come home from work and threw up out of the car windown on the way back ill! I will miss next week too as it's ds2's second birthday, so I need to come home and see him after work.

SlinkyB · 27/06/2012 23:42

Also agree there should be a 'like' button upthread, as agree with what hedge said about biscuits and wine etc, and loved all fhf's advice on being a target member.

Chocolategirl3 · 28/06/2012 00:03

Arrrgghh sorry forgot to pm. No loss for me this week just a 0.5lb gain which is deserved x total loss 1 st 9.5lbs will get back on track this week

Congratulations all the losers x and a pom Pom dance for Bra xxxxxx

Hedgepig · 28/06/2012 08:47

slimjimbra I also forgot to say get rid of all of you big clothes (out of the house not up the loft) and then if you put on a few lbs you have nothing more comfy to slip into. I have put on 11lb from my target weight but I now have to do something about it as I can hardly sit down in my work skirts but I'm not going out to buy a bigger size the idea of that just horrifies me after all my hard work last year.

Day 1 yesterday was OK, I over syned a bit but was totally in control

Food today

B Melon, nectarine, Greek style yog (full fat nom nom Grin as DH got the wrong one 4syns?)
L chicken salad

D Pasta with chicken bacon and a home made tomato sauce

FaceCrack · 28/06/2012 09:08

Morning all!

Don't worry hedge you will shift it. Smile

Quick post as entertaining the inlaws.
B: fruit and ff yog, teaspoon of honey ?1 syn
L: chicken and potato salad, ryvita (heb)
D: steak, sweet pot wedges and roast veggies.
Syns: GIN

SlimJimBra · 28/06/2012 10:20

Syns: GIN

LIKE :o

Huffpot · 28/06/2012 11:19

skulks quietly into the room

I really thought I'd been not too bad at all but maybe it was a combination of coming off my first star week since op and shredding?

Still back on track. Bought a 6 week countdown last night.

I actually have a girls night out on Saturday for a friends birthday. We're going to Leicester Square to see Dreamboys (her choice not mine!) and will be having a couple of cocktails and no idea about dinner but will do flexi syns I think.

Food today
B:Fruit
L: some Moroccan food my friend gave me (who is also on slimming world so should be ok)
D: Grilled chicken with salad and going to attempt low syn potato salad too
Snacks: fruit, yoghurt and will have a rocky road SW bar later with a cuppa(they are gorgeous!)

FairhairedandFrustrated · 28/06/2012 13:28

Arrrrrrggggghhhhhh

30 day shred....

Am I still alive?????

Sweet lord above, I didn't realise how much you can sweat in just 20 minutes!!!!

Feel sick!

Huffpot · 28/06/2012 17:20

FHF its nasty isn't it? The squatting bicep curl kills me!

You'll still be hurting tomorrow!

Its so hot here today I'm debating doing it...even though I know the weight is meant to go up doing it it's really bleugh to have a gain :-(

FairhairedandFrustrated · 28/06/2012 17:38

I'm still going to food optimise like normal, and at least that way I know it's definitely the exercise making me gain and not that I've taken my eye off the ball.

I know they say muscle is to blame but in all my training we're taught only heavy weight lifting can increase muscle that quick. The reason for gains when exercise is increased is that the body produced fluid to protect itself, but once it gets used to the exercise it stabilises again.

So if I'm doing food ok, exercise ok, it's bound to even out at some point.

I am so sore!! My legs are like jelly!!

kid · 28/06/2012 18:15

I do think exercising does make you appear heavier but the fit of your clothes or taking measurements shows that its working.

I am beginning to forget what exercise is, I really do think its time for me to leave the gym or get myself back there pronto. I have done nothing other than walking to work which is about 2 miles a day in total. It takes me about 30 minutes to do that walk, I don't think I can walk it any quicker, especially in this heat.

I am sticking to my meals that I'd planned but its hard!
Today is:

b- 2 weetabix (HEb), milk (HEa)
l- Chicken, peppers, onions, garlic
d- Chicken drumsticks, salad

Tesco light bar (HEb)
fruit club (6 syns)
apple

I'll have to stick to fruit for the rest of the night as I want to go easy on the syns. I've been drinking more water than usual which is good.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 28/06/2012 19:31

I've been having an original day today and have planned to do it to tomorrow too.

Breakfast/brunch was a massive bowl of strawberries, pineapple and grapes topped with fat free yog and a mug of coffee.

Snack throughout the day was an apple, some melon and a plum.

Dinner was a large steak, an even larger salad combining leaves, beetroot, red onion, cucumber, spring onion, green peppers, cherry tomatoes and a hard boiled egg.

I had 'forgotten' I could have 2 heB or I would have had 2 nimble toast for breakfast! Might still have it before bed as had dinner quite early.

Have strawberries and grapes washed in the fridge for later and the kettle is on for another cuppa. Have had one coffee and a pint of nas juice today, not as much liquid as I need to be having!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 28/06/2012 19:32

Is it warm with you kid? It's warm here but also thundery and terrible flooding!!

FaceCrack · 28/06/2012 21:29

It's blinking hot here. I'm not complaining! We've had a lovely day in the sun, messing around in the paddling pool.
Haven't been terrible good at SW today but haven't been terribly bad either. I've avoided booze anyway!

Well done for all the shredding. I didn't run today as too hot but hoping for a gym session tomorrow!
