Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

That's ok, 2p is acceptable!!! :)

Just had my heB - 2 alpen light with coffee :)

love a treat at bedtime!

Tomorrows meals are as follows

B fruit and yog
L chicken tikka salad with beets, spring onion, peppers, tomatoes (shit forgot the peppers!) followed by a f salad
D spaghetti bolognese made by dh

Went to see dh's gran tonight, she's a little better thank goodness

SlinkyB · 22/06/2012 07:14

What's an "f salad"? Sounds rude! Grin

Have a good day all, good luck to anyone starting Shred!

Huffpot · 22/06/2012 07:45

Ok body shape changing and tummy toning means I must try shred tonight when DC go to bed! I meant to last night and forgot.

Will try and get out for a walk with double buggy today too...weather is miserable and so unmotivating!

Going to go to a different group to WI tomorrow morning to keep motivated for our 7 weeks! Its about a 40 minute walk each way so that should help - won't stay for meeting though as will have toddling terrors with me!

B: Porridge made with water and a dash of milk with strawberries and bananas and a cuppa
L: Left over baked bean lasagne and salad
D: Grilled chicken with salad and SW chips I think
Snacks: Fruit and yoghurt plus am going to try and drink 3 pints of water today.
Am terrible with drinking!

FaceCrack · 22/06/2012 08:30

What in earth is baked bean lasagne? It sounds lush! I won't be joining you on a 7 week programme as I'm in hols in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping your motivation rubs off on me!

This weather is awful. Normally we walk to our nearest high st on a Friday which is a 3 mile round trip but I'm not sure we'll manage it in this weather. Dads arriving today too.

I'm aiming for a booze free weekend as drank too much wine last night when catching up with a pal. Smile

Agree about the shred - its brilliant. I will dig mine out too, start tomorrow. Today I'm going to run - I've got a cold so it won't be the best run ever. Jillian also does an Ab Attack one which is supposed to be good.

Food yesterday
B: alpen light bar and lots of coffee
L: ham and couscous salad
Snack: apple and ML yog
D: leggara pizza and a whole bottle of wine. Blush

Food today:
B: fruit and ff yog
L: beans on hobbit toast or lentil soup if I have time to make it
Dinner: SW fish pie and broccoli
And No Booze.

Huffpot · 22/06/2012 09:51

Ahh baked bean lasagne is good! I got it off the Minimins site but didn't have lasagne sheets so just cooked normal pasta instead and the little ones love it. Just fry up some onion, mushrooms and garlic until soft then throw in 2 tins of beans and 2 tins of tomatoes and whatever herbs/seasonings you want.
Layer that with the lasagne sheets or pasta and repeat finishing with tomato/bean mix on top and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake in oven for 20 minutes on gas 6 till cheese melted and golden.

Really filling but lots of farts in our house this morning!
And left overs for all our lunches! Hooray

I'm dreading the shred but need to start toning and it does get rave reviews.

Good luck with no booze Face....when all us girls get together wine is always consumed!

This wind is horrible..DS1 is precious about going out in the wind but he can just wear his hood so we can escape today

I'm snuffly too today and admire the running effort!

Huffpot · 22/06/2012 19:42

Staggers into room and lies panting on floor

Ok just did the shred albeit with not quite as much bouncing around as Jillian and am knackered with jelly legs.

Figured I didn't want the MIL wheezing up the stairs to find out what all the thumping was so did a very modified version of jumping jacks etc but am still feeling like I've done something.

Am having a hungry day too but haven't had any syns yet - just been shovelling fruit in. Am off to make dinner now before I chew a jelly leg off

FaceCrack · 22/06/2012 20:05

Well done for shredding! It does get easier, I promise. Will do the baked bean lasagne at some point, sounds lovely. I ended up doing beef kofta curry from the SW. It was yum yum in my tum. How is MIL from hell?

I'm still coughing like a good'un. Didn't make it for a run today as couldn't face it. I will def go tomorrow.

kid · 22/06/2012 21:09

huff, you do realise you won't be able to walk tomorrow don't you?
It does get easier though, even if you can barely move tomorrow, still do shred and the pain will get easier.
Believe me as I am an expert (at doing the first 2 days and nothing beyond)

I found level 2 was slightly easier then level 1 but only because there was less abs work. My stomach muscles are non existent which is why I find sit ups impossible.

I've managed to sort out a way for me to start running without having to go out on my own. I am going to drag DS with me but he can ride his bike while I run. Just need to think about where and when next.

All my shopping came tonight so I'm set to start on Monday. Sunday is my wedding anniversary so not sure what we've got planned for dinner, it will probably be a meal out though. I have seriously gone off wine. I used to love it but I had to pour my most recent glass away as it didn't taste at all nice. That must be a good thing, I'll stick to diet pepsi or water instead.

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/06/2012 23:11

Hello! Sorry I missed the list, but I lost 2 lbs this week, which takes me up to something like 4 stone 1.5lbs lost iirc.

Good luck in your 7 week challenge ladies.

I too have the shred still in its cellophane after about a year Blush.

brafullofcrumbs · 23/06/2012 08:13

Not off to a good start today, I have a throat infection and a picnic we were meant to go to has been rearranged to pizza hut instead because it's raining :(

brafullofcrumbs · 23/06/2012 08:17

Well done on 2lb loss csws :)

FaceCrack · 23/06/2012 08:48

Well done csws, amazing loss.

Aaah bra can you make a salad or something instead?
I'm still coughing away Sad. Still I had a good day foodwise yesterday. We are having a BBQ tonight if the weather holds.
B: fruit and ff yog
L: not ure we will be out. Hopefully JP and beans
D: BBQ. I'm going to try and stick to chicken and salad.
Exercise: attempt a run

brafullofcrumbs · 23/06/2012 09:46

Not sure pizza express (sorry, got the wrong one before!) will agree to me eating the synfree mexican loaf and salad I have made for the picnic! Been looking at all the salads on their online menu but they all come with dressings, cheese or bread. Pizzas are 25-40 syns so will have to avoid those. Best I can find is roast veg salad with goats cheese. So annoyed because I only agreed to chinese takeaway with dh on thurs because I thought I'd be able to be good all weekend :(

FaceCrack · 23/06/2012 10:26

I always get a leggara pizza or salad dressing free. They will do it dressing free. There is also a pasta puttanesca that should be lower in cals. While it may not be SW friendly, they are relatively low cal so you should be under calories to enable weight loss either way. Does that make sense?

Huffpot · 23/06/2012 12:51

Ahh the weather causes all these coughs, colds and infections. My eldest is snotting everywhere today.

The MIL is STILL alive and troublesome. It would be so much easier if she just shuffled off this mortal coil - sounds heartless but until she's gone our life is in limbo. She had the vomitting/diaroheaa bug and oh lord the stench!
It's depressing just thinking about it.

I can walk Kid but with very sore muscles and sitting down and standing are difficult.

I didn't weigh in last Wednesday so decided I'd go to a 9.30am meeting with toddling monsters just to weigh in and discovered just before I left home that I'd lost my card. Discovered when I got there that because its not my normal meeting they couldn't give me another card unless I paid £9.95 to join as a new member. So will weigh again Wednesday.
Still was a nice 2.3 mile round walk and will shred again tonight and try to improve the pain.

Well done on the loss CSWS

I really need to tone up...too much belly bouncing with my shred star jumps...they should make support bras for fat rolls!

I'm going to go swimming on Tuesday nights till my next lot of swimming lessons start. I feel more comfortable then as its ladies only and theres no canoodling couples in the free swim lanes. I'm still not a confident swimmer even though I'm in the intermediate/advanced class so prefer when its quieter.

Oh ended up having crispy chicken last night and was gorgeous! I dipped chicken in egg yolk then in smash seasoned with herbs and chicken stock then sprayed with frylight and cooked in oven for 20 minutes. so good! Am going to try kids with it for dinner tonight :-)

So food today

B: Banana and a cup of coffee
L: Mushroom omlette with salad
D: Not sure yet as OH is home and impossible to plan for!

Snacks: Bag of velvet crunch and fruit

brafullofcrumbs · 23/06/2012 16:47

Ooh Huff I like the sound of that chicken mmmm! Do you use cooked chicken or raw? And do you use dry stock cube? And (finally) what temp oven?

Huffpot · 23/06/2012 17:04

Its really really lovely Bra

Its raw chicken and dry stock cube and gas mark 6.

Toddling terrors like it too yippee

I think it would be lovely cold in a salad too...I have some left if it survives!

brafullofcrumbs · 23/06/2012 17:32

Yum! Think I'll try that on Mon when I've been shopping, thanks Huff

FairhairedandFrustrated · 23/06/2012 18:13

Hey HP I know it's no use to you now but incase it happens again, they could have put you through as a 'forgotten' member, give you a card for that weigh-in only and you could have used your own card next time @ your own group. (just so you know if it ever happens again!)

Yesterday went good! Spaghetti Bol syn free for dinner and heB was a Hifi light and a cherry bakewell alpen light, lovely wee treat with a coffee.

Today's food has been very scarce, I've been away with dh and dd and went into Starbucks, they had buns and muffins, I had a black coffee and a pink lady apple from my handbag!!

Followed by 2 plums and a satsuma Grin

Dinner is on the way in the form of a take away... I'm having chicken with ginger and spring onion (5 syns) and boiled rice. Am totally ravenous.

Have planned roast chicken and ham for tomorrows dinner, can't believe I'm that organised!! First time in ages. Am probably getting weighed a day earlier this week at a different group - so unsure what to expect.

Shred is still to arrive, so maybe Monday!!

Star week is working on me and I'm trying my best not to reach for crisps and the usual crap!

I also discovered Jacobs oddities on Thursday, they're pretty nice and lowish in syns too.

Huffpot · 23/06/2012 19:18

Thanks FHF will definitely bear it in mind...even though I'm fairly sure I gained I wanted to weigh in and was a bit disappointed!

I'm really impressed with your will power at Starbucks!

For the shred you're meant to have some weights(just so you're prepared!). Some people use tins of beans or bottles of water but I went and bought dumbells from Argos in 3 different weights to go up as I improve(see my intended dedication level?) and used 1kg ones last night. You can use a mat too if you're on a hard floor and I think I'll have to consider getting one as the floor work really was uncomfortable

SlinkyB · 23/06/2012 19:24

Well done on shredding Huff and thanks for the recipes; I'm gonna try and make both in the next week.

Still need dp to sort Shred out for me so I can start. Face you have my sympathies re lurgy, I sneezed all day long yesterday and my throat feels like I've swallowed razor blades. Am self medicating with Pralines and Cream Haagen Dazs Hmm. Having a couple of days off as am crap when under the weather.

Hope you're all having a good weekend.

Chocolategirl3 · 24/06/2012 09:15

Morning Ladies, made some lovely Mexican wedges last night but managed to burn my thumb and throw them on the floor getting them out the oven, 10 second rule in this house! Note to self, use the hand glove not crappy tea towel to get stuff out of oven.

Ankle on the mend, I can drive as of yesterday, so was able to stock up on supplies x

Slinky I agree with your self medication, sometimes its just needed.

brafullofcrumbs · 24/06/2012 09:18

Slinky thats exactly how I feel sorry you and Face are both suffering too :( just for good measure I've all but lost my voice too!
Survived pizza y'day by having salad and passing the garlic bread sticks to ds instead of eating them, he ate a kids pizza with olives mushrooms and ham followed by chocolate ice cream :o I'm stupidly proud that he enjoys so many different foods (and that he behaved really well and sat in a high chair for a good 2+hrs without complaining)

brafullofcrumbs · 24/06/2012 09:19

Morning Choc :)

Chocolategirl3 · 24/06/2012 09:57

Hey there Bra, you have more willpower than me, no way could I pass up pizza, the sticks yes, but pizza no! So very impressed!

I've been off all week and found myself picking on Friday. I found some jam tarts and took a bite then mentally told myself off and threw it away. I was proud of that :)
