Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Hello gang Grin

I'm here but I'm not. I've loads to catch up on by the looks of it! Real life is gathering pace at the moment, so I won't be joining the weekly weigh in for a couple more weeks.

We had a nice holiday last week, and I am totally Envy of where Ria lives (is she still here??). You may or may not know from FB that next week is going to be, erm, interesting. I've got the fibroid consultant thing on Tuesday (to chop or not to chop, that is the question), Wednesday M finds out if her treatment has worked, and on Wednesday or Thursday we are getting the keys to the house and (carpet fitting allowing) we are moving at the end of next week. EEEEEEEEEEEK! It's all going to be a bit mad.

I've also stopped bf'ing since I was last here Sad. Kind of came about when I was on steroids and anti b's for the chest infection that wouldn't go away. I did one feed at the end of the holiday, but that was it. It seems better to stop after a week of him not having it now rather than restarting for just another month or so. But it's still Sad. And my boobs feel a bit weird even though I was only doing a quick feed before he went to sleep. But that's 3 years and 2 months I've been doing it from one dc straight to the next, so I suppose it will feel a bit odd.

Anyway. Enough of my nonsense. I've missed you all! Going to catch up now and see what you've all been up to.

Wocha Bee ((un-mumsnetty hugs)) you have a bonkers week coming up, I hope it all goes splendidly.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 07/06/2012 20:47

Hi everyone. Sorry have been AWOL for a few days, real life problems rearing their head.

Thanks for the list Face :) Am happy with that, though it's really just the two I had on last week. Today has been a good food day I think. Unsure how the weekend will fare as I'll be away. Had planned on one night but two nights seemed a better deal so will be leaving straight after work tomorrow evening and trying my best food wise.

Drink will probably not feature.

Huff, glad to hear all went well re: op. Sorry to hear of your loss, but I know only too well what these big Irish gatherings are like, being one of eight myself, it'll be more a celebration of his life than the mourning of his death.

Bee, your week coming up sound hectic. All the best with the housemove. Are you Food Optimising at all or just taking a break?

Today was:

B : apple shitty really
L: HEB w/meal roll with lighter than light mayo (half syn) beetroot salad and tomato followed by another apple
D: Bacon (rind removed), potatoes boiled and sliced and done in fry light and cabbage.

Snack: Probably more apples as that's all there is in the feckin house. HEA was milk as usual.

Hoping I get to at least lurk whilst away, am taking my ipod with me so I can go for a walk or if it's raining all weekend at least i'll have something to listen to.

SlinkyB · 07/06/2012 20:53

Hey all, just posting from a hot bath, which dp had kindly run me. Need to warm up after a very wet and windy lycra-clad walk run.

Huffers Are you half Irish and half Australian then? Sorry to hear about your uncle Sad. Good news on your op (apart from the infected belly button bit). Do you think you'll try for another? We're thinking of trying next year, but life's so settled and 'easy' right now that it'll be a struggle to kinda give that up. We'll see.

bee!! Welcome back buddy, did you have a good holiday? Sounds like life's on turbo for you again next week, good luck.

I WI this am and am 11st 2.5lbs again, so would like to be good and get back to 11 (or under, yeah right). Wish I wasn't so addicted to sugar like I am, I literally get moody and headachy without it, then feel a sense of relief and happiness when I eat some, Grr. Must find some will power...

grinningbee · 08/06/2012 09:02

Waaaah! long post gone thanks to dd's fiddly fingers.

Huff Sorry to hear about your UncleSad Hope your recovery is fast and that the infection clears off soon.

Kid Hope your dh is on the mend. That sounds really rough, and for you too.

Hedge Grin

FHF I have no excuses, but my willpower is zero at the moment. I feel awful but hopefully in another 10 days I'll be back on it. I am trying to limit the damage. I'll be the one sitting at the back of the class in the corner.

Slinky the holiday was nice thanks, despite tantrums from the dc everytime we tried to have a coffee out. We ended up eating takeaways in the caravan every night Hmm. Not exactly what I'd had in mind.

This weekend feels like the calm before the storm. It's really weird. Oh well, best get cracking and do something useful Wink

Chocolategirl3 · 09/06/2012 20:49

Hi all, back from hols and completely dreding WI on Wednesday. All and I mean ALL of my good intentions went out the window the second I had that first glass of Wine it was red wine every night after that oh and the croissants heavily laden with butter with apricot conserve.... hmmmmmm .....must stop this and get back in the right frame of mind... I have 4 days till weigh in to scrape myself back into some sort of shape, which will be hard as i have had 4 months of syns in one week!!!

Face ever heard of the immaculate conception??????
Kid hope you didnt catch what your DH has, is he any better?
Huffpot sorry to hear about your Uncle x

Well done to everyone who lost last week :)

FaceCrack · 11/06/2012 07:50

Right. I am definately back with a vengeance. I've had another bad week Sad. I feel horrendous!

So I'm starting with
B: fruit and alpen light bar (heb)
L: cold meat and salad, fruit
D: omelette and salad
Snacks: fruit, ml yog. I'm working late so will probably grab something like quavers to eat on my way home!

FaceCrack · 11/06/2012 07:55

huff sorry to hear about your uncle. Hope infection is clearing.
bee good luck with the move. Glad hols were good though.
kid how is your DH now? Better, I hope.
chocolategirl sounds like an amazing holiday! Very jealous!! Where did you go? Good to have you back anyway.
slinks well done on race for life. Mines coming up, must get running!

Yes it would be an immaculate conception at the momentGrin. No plans for number 2 yet really, we've got Life Decisions to make at the moment so we'll get ourselves on track first.

Have a good day all! I'm on call so won't be home until gone 10pm

FaceCrack · 11/06/2012 16:38

Oh damn. I've killed it, haven't I?

Chocolategirl3 · 11/06/2012 16:50

I thought I had yesterday!

Hol was great went to France, missed bloody ferry on way out but that stress was just a glitch as we managed to arrive 14 hours later than planned without killing each other! Would have loved more sun mind! X

Hedgepig · 11/06/2012 17:42

Evening all, nice line Face
Grin
My diet restart has not gone well , too much stress with the house move (not that anything is happening, I am not a patient person) and I'm away with work all week.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 11/06/2012 18:26

Hi all, how's it going?

I've had a heavy weekend food wise but hoping to pull it back!!

Lunch and breakfast was all Superfree fruits and salad and dinner was sw chips, egg and beans. Followed by melon.

Am having a touch of a tough time at minute, me and dh had a weekend away to try and chat some, but don't know how much progress we made. I just am not my usual self and can't shake myself out of it. Feel totally worthless and like I could sleep for a week.

Hedgepig · 11/06/2012 20:33

Sorry you are having s bad time fairhair hopefully you can work it out

FaceCrack · 11/06/2012 22:29

Oh J'aime le France chocolate, especially le fromage. .tres bien.

hedge how's your move going then?
Oh fh&f you do sound low. Please see your GP.

I've been pretty good today. It looks like:
B: fruit and alpen light
L: 1/2 uncle Ben rice thing
D: 1/2 uncle Ben rice thing (total 3 syns) with cold meat and salad
Snack: fruit and ML yog. Hot choc (3 syns)
Total 6 syns but got 1/2 heb still in the bag.

SlinkyB · 11/06/2012 23:11

Evening all,

Sorry to hear you're so down FHF Sad I agree with Face that you should probably see your GP. Hope you start to feel better soon.

Welcome back Face again Grin Bet you feel better already now you're back on plan. Well, maybe not today as you're probably shattered. Are you still hoping to move?

Race for Life went really well yesterday thanks; completed it in just over 36 mins, which I'm chuffed with! Had a stitch, a full bladder and sciatic nerve pain whilst doing it, so am sure I could've done better without all that Wink I was definitely spurred on lots by my uber-competitive running partner. She's fab, made me go training in the rain and wind last week when I really wanted to sit on the sofa watching telly. Think it's because she's a SAHM with a 3yo and 1yo, so the jogging in the evening is her only break! So hoping to carry it on.

I've also enrolled in a 3-week 'bikini boot camp' starting at the end of the month Shock as would like to keep the fitness thing going. That way, I can still stuff my face with junk and stay at target, right?!? Wink

FaceCrack · 11/06/2012 23:26

Well done slinky, great time. Im out running again tomorrow too. Grin.
Yes we are planning on moving. It will probs be just before Christmas by the time we get round to it. It's looking like it will be Herefordshire/Monmouthshire way. Smile

Now should I be worried that I can hear Iz snoring from the lounge with the T.V on? Most unusual.

SlinkyB · 11/06/2012 23:45

Thanks, the quickest we'd done our usual 2.6 mile route was 33 mins, so to do the extra half a mile in 3 mins was a good effort I reckon! Good luck with your run tomorrow, hope it's dry.

Hmm, do you think dd is getting a cold? We've re-named T 'Mr Bump' as he's been in the wars lately (blooming door frames). He's currently flat out asleep with a swollen nose and a fat top lip bless him!

Don't think I've ever been to Herefordshire... But I know they make lovely cider there Grin

SlinkyB · 12/06/2012 08:31

Morning, just checking in to wish Bee good luck today (think it's today that you see consultant about Freddy?)

Have a good day all, I'm planning to be good - off food shopping this am and will not allow any norty food to fall in to my trolley!

FaceCrack · 12/06/2012 12:14

Yep she's got a cold! Never mind. I'm so impressed with your 3 minute mile as well Grin.

Another one thinking about bee and Freddie's fate today.

So far, so good foodwise. I already feel better for being back on plan.
B: alpen light bar and fruit
L: omelette and salad, fruit
D: cottage pie, veg and baked beans.

Hope everyone's having a good day. Day of doom tomorrow.

SlinkyB · 12/06/2012 14:07

6 minute mile! I did say did the extra 1/2 mile in 3 mins Grin Think it was the adrenalin/sprint at the end - and my friend is viciously competetive, so that helped. Everytime we were at a bit where our partners could've seen us, she was saying "quick! don't walk! I'll never hear the end of it from DH if he sees me walking!" tee hee.

Will try and remember to WI in the morning and pm you with any results. Sorry to hear I has a cold, hope she shifts it soon.

FaceCrack · 12/06/2012 14:29

God does she want to run with me? I need someone like that. Sorry I misread you! This weather is so mizz...what to do this afternoon.

SlinkyB · 12/06/2012 15:38

Bake? Oh, wait, we're all meant to be on diets Grin Reminds me of the time my post-grad Psychology friend was counselling someone with bulimia and exercise addiction. She recommended she should try and keep busy with some new hobbies; perhaps she could take up knitting, gardening or...baking?! Ha ha! Fail.

I think I'm going to take ds for a haircut when he wakes up. Planning on making the SW veg pizza tonight, which is on the calendar. Anyone tried it?

Oh yeah, and running pal has enough energy for both of us. Wish I was as competitive and enthusiastic as she is (might explain her size 10-ness!).

FaceCrack · 13/06/2012 08:09

Bake? No way, the baking results would be gone in minutes. Arf at your pal, I'm always coming up with stupid remarks in work.

Quick post as on the tube but don't forget to weigh in today. Pm me!
B: alpen light bar, fruit
L: provided at a meeting, I'm hopeful there will be salad
D: quorn sausage and bean casserole (3 syns)
Have a good day, and good luck with weigh ins. I haven't put on as much weight as I thought

grinningbee · 13/06/2012 08:22

Good morning lovely ladies Smile

Thanks for thinking of me yesterday. It was really weird. If I was with Mr Consultant for 10 minutes I would be surprised. Anyway. Freddy is going to be chopped, and I am on the waiting list. Going for the subtotal hysterectomy (so the bugger can't come back) but keeping my ovaries. Thing keeps harping on about how he's worried I'll feel less of a woman... Hmm

My biggest worry is the dc while I'm in. While we were at the hospital, Thing went outside to make a phonecall. He had a mini fit in the carpark and rang me to ask where he was and how to get back to me Sad I knew something had happened 'cos he was gone so long.

Well impressed with all the running going on - well done Slinky and good luck Face!

I'm still off the diet at the mo (and by god it shows) but by the end of next week I should be back in the saddle.

Best get sorted, time to get dd to playgroup!

Catch you all later Grin
