Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Yeah, roll call for any lurkers out there! Stop hogging all the scan bran cake and pull up a pew Smile

kid · 17/05/2012 21:57

Maybe they have lost so much weight, their skinny little fingers keep falling between the gaps in the keyboard?

FairhairedandFrustrated · 17/05/2012 23:18

Food diary for the day as planned :). Just changed the whisps to tayto advantage crisps, same syn value I think.

Add a bowl of grapes, melon and blueberries and that's me :)

Am off work tomorrow, might make soup for dinner tomorrow night, dh away with mates overnight and I'm home alone with kids :) film maybe!!

Saturday dh is working (after a night on the lash, pity him!!) so I might try those cupcakes with kids. Also out on Saturday night with 2 friends, really looking forward to it :)

Do you want me to send you a care package of tayto lights?? More than happy to :)

grinningbee · 18/05/2012 08:11

Morning all!

Kid I have to admit to pmsl at the skinny fingers slipping through the keyboard Grin And that chilli chicken is exactly the one I do. It's gorgeous. Might do it this weekend now you've mentioned it.

FHF sounds like you have a nice weekend coming up. And I never pity anyone after being out on the lash!

The pub we go to is 35 miles away, and I wish we didn't go. I found out that there's a £102 bill outstanding last night Angry. And just to top it off, Things best mate (who is 20 years older than him) is always there. I have a cold at the mo just to put the next bit into context... he came out with the following:

"Isn't it about time you were knocked up again? I bet you've got that cold from always having your knees up in the air"

Thing sat there and didn't say anything, and it was all I could do not to bloody cry. Thing says he'll talk to him about it, but I dare say it won't happen.

Anyway.

Food for the day:

2 x slices hobbit toast with 4 x tsp jam (2 syns), banana
Omelette with cherry tomatoes and ham, yogurt and an apple
Steak (I think) with frylighted eggs and veggies
2 x alpen lights later

Off to the Dr's later with ds as the poor boy sounds very rattly and wheezy. I'm going to start another thread later to ask advice about my fibroid. Thing said something last night and I need opinions. I'll bung a link up later when I've done it if anyone wants to have a read.

Grin at the lurkers with the too skinny fingers!

Anyone else got another pouring wet day? Im soooooo sick of rain a the min.

ok SW friendly bargain alert for those near a morrions, large 400g punnet of blueberries £2, velvet crunch rice cakey things (only 4 syns a bag) £1 for muti pack in, quorn sausages £1, and lastly mug shots are half price so about 34p i think. (i done my food shopping last night).

sweet chilli chicken sounds lovey as i love all things sweet chilli, i had used an actul sweet and sour recipe from a SW booklet that ws free in daily mail as new year, will post if any one wants it.

todays food is going to be;

B - wheat a bix and honey with loads of blueberries HB and HA and 1syn for honey.
L - combo of left over roast veg cous cous and sweet and sour with added prawns - should be interesting!
D - speed curry and wedges

and if i only snack on free food i will only have used 1 syn! (although i can see me succumb to a bag of velvet crunch!)

Chocolategirl3 · 18/05/2012 08:57

Is it wrong to tell you home and bargain are selling creme eggs and caramel eggs for 10p?....it probably is...I therefore have to confess to buying 10 of each, well it would have been wrong not to.

In my pathetic defence, I gave 7 of the caramel ones away and only ate one (9.5 syns)

I shall give 4 of the creme eggs away.

I will only eat one a week, i am disciplined enough to do that so know that wont be a problem.

To be fair if you didn't get them yesterday then there will probably be none left sorry Blush

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 18/05/2012 10:08

chocolate I think its very beneficial for my diet that I live way to far from a home bargains to take advantage of said offer!

Chocolategirl3 · 18/05/2012 10:32

Grin Grin Grin

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 18/05/2012 12:34

to add to the bargain list wheat a bix oaty bars £1, i believe they are a healthy b (but only 1) or 3.5syns each.

Chocolategirl3 · 18/05/2012 13:10

Oh lordy, Tesco are selling them for a penny each now!!! -RESISTING!!!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 18/05/2012 15:39

Step away from the eggs!!!!! Only free hens eggs for you what want a good loss this week :)

Had lovely lunch out with my friend today - this is her last day @ work before her baby is born!! So excited for them, it's their first baby and she's terrified - dd is 10 and I still remember the feeling!!

Good food so far and have day planned to be ok !!

B: melon, grapes, blueberries & ff yog
L: baked potato, beans, red onion, lettuce, tomato.
D: chicken noodle soup mmm my favourite!!

Snacks tayto advantage, heB 2 Hifi lights, and hea is milk!!

kid · 18/05/2012 16:01

I'd planned chinese takeaway into todays meals but DH announced that he fancies fish and chips. I'm going to win though and chinese it will be Grin
I don't mind fish and chips but would need something that I can eat within syns on a green day. I only have 10 syns left for the day so any suggestions welcome.

grinningbee · 18/05/2012 16:37

Aaaarrrgggh! You lot are a bad influence Grin

I have 3 cream eggs in the fridge (along with 7 peanut butter kitkats) and there they shall stay for a good while yet. They've been there since Easter

Good on you Kid for winning with a chinese. Yum! 10 syns... couple of glasses of wine (8 syns)? 4 x measures of spirits? Cream eggs are only 9 syns. Um, 4 x pink and whites or 5 x rich tea biccies?

FHF Ah, bless your friend. I remember that terror myself. And the second time being worse 'cos you know what's coming Grin Still, it's a lovely special time.

I took ds to the dr. It's an upper respiritory infection he's got and just needs to work itself out poor thing. He fell asleep on me earlier which is most unlike him. Dead cute though! Must wake him in a sec or there'll be problems later.

I'm going to have maximum syns today. Already had 2, and am going to use 13 more on half a bottle of red wine tonight. I got 2 rather big steaks for tea, and it seemed such a shame not to make the most of it.

I started a thread in general health about the fibroid. It doesn't seem to be very popular so far Grin I'm so rubbish at starting threads that get an answer.

Chocolategirl3 · 18/05/2012 21:14

Bee I got them out and looked at them earlier, I did resist the urge to do a Mwahahahaha laugh and shout you are mine all mine...for now!

kid · 18/05/2012 21:20

I have been busy hoovering tonight which has kept me out of the kitchen.
Do you have any idea how tiring it is having to hoover the gap between every stupid floorboard in 2 rooms. I still have to remove the tiles from the stairs by 9am tomorrow and then I plan to sit and do nothing.

My food for today was:

B- weetabix (Heb), milk (HEa)
L- couscous, peppers, spring onions, 2tbsp sweet chilli sauce (? syns)
D- Chicken chowmein (7 syns)
muller light
Oh, just realised I had a club choc earlier which is 5 syns. bit close today on max syns. I do have another HEb to eat though which I think I'll have now in the form of a cereal bar.

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/05/2012 22:35

sweet chilli = 3 syns kid

knackered and just place marking really

FairhairedandFrustrated · 18/05/2012 22:41

Good days all round by the look of it!!

I didn't have the tayto advantage in the end. Am not long home fromm sister's house - was her birthday today. She had lovely scones, pancakes and cakes, but I resisted and had a pear :)

Am in bed now, (missing dh) with 2 Hifi lights and a cuppa (& 2 children!!!!)

Tomorrow I'll have a good breakfast of bacon & eggs, maybe pasta for lunch and soup for dinner. Am out on the lash tomorrow night, but have used very few suns all week. Will have vodka & diet coke as I won't know if the black currant is no added sugar!

LakeFlyPie · 18/05/2012 23:56

Evening Smile

Hey, less of this creme egg / peanut kitkat talk you lot, whatever will Moggie think? Shock

Just quick post as can hear DS2 stirring.

Good food day today (green):
BF: Berries, passion fruit + FF yog, 1 hobbit toast + marmalade (1/2 HEb + 2syns)
L: Pepper cous cous salad, pear, apple, apricot
D: Picked at new potatoes and carrots from DC tea and then had my long awaited soft boiled eggs and asparagus when they were finally in bed (DP away on stag weekend so solo DC bedtime tonight, is usually a team effort).
S: Options hot choc (2 syns), Muller yog.
Milk in coffee (HEa)
Just realised have still got 1/2 HEb left so might have an Alpen light before bed.

Huffpot · 19/05/2012 07:46

Alas my skinny fingers are not wedged between keys.
Have not been on wagon at all and probably not going to attempt climbing back in until mid week.
Had my surgery Wednesday and now have a quarter of my right ovary left and am still quite tender, swollen and sore but coping much better than I expected.
I think I'll be glad to get back to normal and SW. Still can't lift the DC but hopefully a few more days and I'll be fine

Bee things best friend sounds like a cock! Have some smart responses for him next time!

Havent read through and caught up on everything yet but will try to!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 19/05/2012 10:32

Just had scrambled egg (milk from hea) and bacon for breakfast, followed by melon and an apple :)

Soup will be my lunch, have some left over from last night.

Am thinking of driving tonight so dh doesn't have to come pick me up (plus would save syns on alcohol)

kid · 19/05/2012 10:41

Glad you are recovering well Huff.

I've cleaned my whole house, had breakfast and am just sitting here waiting for my new carpets to finished being fitted. I feel a little bit guilty sitting here on the laptop while they are working hard but I guess thats their job and I am paying them so its not like I should be helping. I just wish they couldn't see me sitting around doing nothing Grin
