Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Evening all!

Kid The carpet looks lovely, and you've done a great job decorating! Time to put your feet up I think, and don't feel guilty!

FHF Hope you have a lovely evening out.

Huff Glad it all went well, hope you're feeling less sore very soon.

I'm not well and have a stupid bloody chest infection. To be honest I'm not surprised as I feel run down anyway. Gah! So it's high dose anti b's for me, and I was told I may need steroids too if it doesn't shift. I have a rather impressive crackle on the lungs.

The diet is slipping a tad tonight, but nothing major. I just needed to get a bit of chocolate to cheer myself up.

Aww Bee poor you, hope you enjoyed your choc treat and are feeling better v soon.

Huff glad you're on the mend, are your folks still around and treating you to some TLC?

FHF hope you enjoyed your night out.

Another reasonably good day today (green):
BF: Mango + 2 hobbit toast + marmalade (HEb + 2 syns)
L: Egg salad + anchovy (didn't weigh it but ? 2 syns)
D: JP cottage cheese + salad cream (2.5 syns) + salad, apricot, kiwi
S: Muller yog, Options (2 syns)
Milk in coffee HEa

Debating Alpen Light bar with hot choc before a v rare early night (not sure of syn value but must take me to days limit I should think)

grinningbee · 20/05/2012 09:12

Morning everyone Smile

Lake hope you enjoyed the hot choc and alpen bar. I find them really addictive! Mind you, I do get the choc and fudge ones Grin. I'm fine thanks, just glad I got it sorted yesterday rather than waiting for it to get worse.

I did slip last night (damn you, crispy m and m's) but back on the straight and narrow today.

Food for the day will be something like:

2 x slices hobbit toast with 4 x tsp jam (2 syns), banana
Omelette with ham, yogurt and an apple
Sweet chilli chicken (1.5 syns) with loads of roasted veggies
2 x alpen lights for later

We have to play swap the car later. Yesterday the clutch burnt out in the one we've only had for 9 days Hmm, so while I was waiting at the walk in centre Thing had to take ours to his workshop and borrow one. All good fun Grin

Have a good day everyone!

Eugh am here... Feeling poop.

I had 5 vodka and sf lime but have suffered ever since. Been up sick all night, and this morning. Just had some toast and bacon to see if it will settle me. Am such a silly girl.

Hope you're feeling a bit better today bee!!

kid · 20/05/2012 19:39

I prefer the choc and orange alpen bars which are on offer at the moment in Tesco (2 for £3) so I got 2 boxes. I also got some more clubs which are 5 syns each and some snack a jacks (both were on offer).
We also got 2 apple and fresh cream cakes which I just had to test. We were given a box of 24 ferrero rocher which was kind but lethal for my diet.

I have been so good all weekend too. I am hoping the fact I've only slipped today rather than Friday, Saturday and Sunday, will mean the scales are still kind to me on DoD. Will my weight be affected by using the scales on carpet instead of laminate?

FairhairedandFrustrated · 20/05/2012 23:06

Dh did the groceries today & has heaps of fruit and fresh veg!!

Had a good day today, a few more syns than I would have liked;

B: 2 wholemeal bread, bacon, (2syns on flora light)
Snacks: apple, grapes
Lunch/dinner: sw chips, sw burgers and beans with a salad
2 nice biscuits (4syns)
1 bag tayto advantage (4 syns)

Tomorrows lunch is all planned and made too :)
Ham salad with mixed lettuce, spring onions, cucumber, yellow paper, 1 syn for lighter than light mayo.

Will have fruit & yog for breakfast, dinner will be late as I've to cover a group for someone, so will save my heB and have poached eggs on toast or something!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend x

LakeFlyPie · 20/05/2012 23:24

Hope you're feeling better FHF, was it a good night? worth the suffering today

I dug out the dress I was planning to wear to a wedding in a couple of weeks and realised it's a size 12 Shock. Haven't tried it on yet but seems unlikely to be a go-er considering I'm a generous 14 ATM (albeit slightly less generous than a few weeks ago)

Busy day here which struggled to stay on plan and ended just now with a chinese takeaway which tried to stay on plan but fell off due to multiple Peking spare ribs on a supposedly green day Hmm.
BF: Cinnamon porridge (HEa +b)
L: Beans on toast (HEb)
D: Veg chop suey + noodles (? 5 ish syns)
Ribs (? 20+ syns)
S: Pear, apricot, Muller yog

Oh well tomorrow's another day, need to shop as fruit supplies are dwindling and that causes trouble breakfast wise.

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 21/05/2012 06:55

Morning all, hope the hang over has subsided ff&f ?

I was also out on sat night but miraculously had no hang over even after 2 cocktails! Blew my diet sat night and yesterday from afternoon onwards, had an Italians and also had a lovely choc birthday cake which I also had yest.....will post todays food in a bit.

grinningbee · 21/05/2012 09:35

Good morning everyone!

Hope the weekend over indulgences have settled a bit. I include me in that too Blush

We're all still majorly lurgified, but hopefully the pills will kick in soon. Toddlers don't seem to understand mummy not feeling her usual self!

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Ham omelette, apple and a yogurt
Sweet chilli chicken (1.5 syns) and roasted veggies - we never got around to eating it the other day
2 x alpen lights for later

OP posts:
MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 21/05/2012 11:34

Chocolategirl3 · 21/05/2012 12:11

Afternoon Ladies, I hope you all had wonderful weekends xx

I discovered mini milks on Sunday and after demolishing 2 thought it may be a good idea to check the syn value 1.5 each Grin absolutely wonderful, they shall be my naughty snack from yesterday forth!

Chocolategirl3 · 21/05/2012 12:15

Doea anyone know the syn value of 'Rainbow Drops' they are the coloured sweet puffed rice, very addictive, before you know it you have eaten the bag! cant find them on the SW website - does this mean they are free Wink

grinningbee · 21/05/2012 12:27

Choc Step away from the rainbow drops!! I've just worked out the syn value by looking up the nutritional info and using the syn calculator.

100g = 13.5 syns

Thanks Girders and well done on the run. We'ew taking the dc to a soft play place later. Joy joy!

Right, better start thinking about feeding everyone.

OP posts:
Chocolategirl3 · 21/05/2012 13:35

BUT I ATE THE WHOLE BAG!!!!!!

Chocolategirl3 · 21/05/2012 13:39

....and breathe....just found a site that said they are 4 syns a pack.

I remember them being classed as low syns when I first did SW in 2002

not listening to 13.5 syns tra la la la lah

Chocolategirl3 · 21/05/2012 13:48

4 syns for 28g!

Uh oh as soon as I get in I will be checking weight on packaging!

Thank God I am under syns at the moment...but damn my greedy mouth!

Hope you feeling better Bee thanks for looking for me x Theres a lot of nasty bugs doing the rounds at the moment keep wrapped up x

grinningbee · 21/05/2012 14:28

Do you know, when I read your post then I imagined the shriek of horror Grin

It's not the end of the world, you'll just know to remember next time Wink. Honestly, sweeties are so syn heavy it makes them hardly worth it Sad.

I'm feeling quite full up now which is good. Just had my omelette and things and a massive cup of tea. And I absolutely do not fancy any of the chocolate in the fridge . I must be good. Last weigh tomorrow before the holiday next week. Needs to be at least a whole pound this week!

OP posts:
Hedgepig · 21/05/2012 14:51

Awww bless Choc you'll know next time.

kid · 21/05/2012 16:56

Those rainbow drops are gross! I ban my kids from eating them as they are basically just pure sugar and full of God knows what to make those colours (plus they send my kids loopy)

I've been very good today. There were biscuits at work and I avoided them all day. They didn't look that nice anyway but thats beside the point.

I haven't planned any meals this week, naughty me, but I'm having a green day today and I've decided on a nice easy dinner of a pasta n'sauce and eggs to make it into a quiche. Just need to dig something out of the fridge/freezer/cupboard for DC.

I'm exhausted after very little sleep last night and a long tiring day at work. I didn't have any tea all day due to manky milk at work so I deserve to looked after tonight. My kids have gone to the park though so no chance of them making me any tea. At least its peaceful, for now.

LakeFlyPie · 21/05/2012 22:31

Evening Smile

I agree that mini milks are a great low syn treat choc, surely a bag of Rainbow Drops weighs about 5 g so no need to fret too much?
I realised some of my Alpen "Light" bars are actually non light chocolate and coconut bars, thought they were remarkably delicious!

Had a better day food-wise today and have enjoyed the glorious sunshine with Dc who are on great form.

I'm also feeling pretty full after dinner tonight but it doesn't seem to stop me hankering after something sweet, evening snacking really is my weakness.

My Aunt visited today and brought some delicious looking Prestat chocolates but not going near them ATM. Haven't looked at the scales this week and haven't tried the size 12 dress on either Shock

Food was (green day):
BF: Muesli (HEb), apple + FF yog
L: Tomato soup, melon
D: Egg fried rice with chicken (HEb) peas and flat beans, Muller yog
S: Alpen light (yes really Grin) bar (? 3 syns), maybe an Options hot choc later (2 syns)
HEa milk in coffee (although only had 2 cups so not full HEa today)

FairhairedandFrustrated · 21/05/2012 23:34

Hello :)

Yes, hangover receded, eventually haven't been feeling great today but have been on plan 100%

I stuck to the breakfast and lunch I listed yesterday, dinner (about an hour ago) was heB wholemeal bread, flora light (2syns) and spaghetti followed by pineapple.

Hard day today then tonight, working all day tomorrow then tomorrow night again. Oh I hope there's a loss of some sort on Wednesday night.

Bee, I hope you feel better soon! Choc, 100g of rainbow drops is loads!! So the small bags are nothing nearly as high as that, the 4.5 syns or something sounds about right :)

Tomorrow's food:
B yog and fruit
L salad of some sort
D unsure!!

kid · 21/05/2012 23:54

Glad the hangover went eventually fairhaired, I can honestly say I haven't had a hangover for 3 years but that last one I had was a real killer which is why I've been so good ever since Grin

Lake, I find that having the alpen light bars as a HEb gives me enough of a sweet tooth fix in the evening that I don't feel the need to reach for the biscuit tin. I still have a supply of club bars too but I tend to eat that as soon as I get in from work.

I've never tasted the mini milks, they don't really sound that appealing to me as I have an idea of what they are.
I did get some pink and whites the other week and I didn't mind them. Not that I got much of a chance to taste anymore as everyone else here finished them off for me.

Chocolategirl3 · 22/05/2012 08:07

Ahem... it was an 80g bagBlush

Oh and dont worry Kid my DD would never eat them as dont let her eat half the stuff I eat! Well done on avoiding the biscuits x

Bee hope you managed to stay away from the chocolate in the fridge, Good luck with weigh in today xx

Away from the subject of bad treats, I got into my size 12 jeans at the weekend, with ease AND my bra size is down from a 36" to either a 34" and in two cases a 32" getting measured properly today to see if cup size gone down (fingers crossed) as long as DD goes to school that is

  • poor thing came home yesterday with a stonking headache and her temp kept flaring, she's a lot better today though still has a bit of a headache, she is keen to go in so I have said she can go at morning break as long as headache has gone completely. Plus I want to make sure her temp remains consistant. xxx
grinningbee · 22/05/2012 11:03

Yay for the size 12 Envy and the smaller bra Choc! That's the best way to tell the diet is working. Smaller clothes.

It's another tiny loss here this week, but at least it is a loss. Painfully slow, but I'll get there! Just got to try and not go into holiday mode straight away now

It's a beautiful day today. Just going to wash my hair and then think about where to take the dc today. I might take them out and have a mooch in the sunshine and treat them to a coffee (well, toddler equivalent) and a cake.

OP posts:
Chocolategirl3 · 22/05/2012 11:40

Well done on the loss xxx a loss is a loss no matter how small x be proud x

I've got 2 more weigh ins before I go away, I am taking my Robinsons Juice and my bacardi with me so I dont get tempted by the lovely wine and cider. May take some pitta too or do you think thats taking it too far and I should just splurge on beautiful french food for the week and pay the price when I get back?
