The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
  4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. So forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!!

The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry OH NO we're not!!! so come on in and start living your new life today!

ppeatfruit · 29/04/2012 09:01

Morning everyone! Smile I know how effing annoying that can be LA It only happens when i've tried to post LONG posts do you find that? I always thought it was 'cos they're working on the site or something now I'm not so sure; late on Sunday night? they're over doing it!!

Well done Boffin and Dawn it's so easy to pick up again ain't it?

justfab being kind to yr self and learning to trust yr body is one of the most important lessons that P.M. gives. Glad you're L.O.s are more settled now.

ppeatfruit · 29/04/2012 09:05

Duh! You can tell the weather kept me awake last night I don't know what day it is!! late on SAT. night is still a strange time to be working IMO!!

JustFab · 29/04/2012 09:34

Well done Boffin Smile.

I have seen an hypnotist nearby buy not sure how I find out if it is any good. I am a bit worried about how much I would actually have to tell them.

Solo · 29/04/2012 12:57

Hi all :) If I remember I sometimes 'copy' my very long posts before posting the message just in case they go offline for a while...losing a long post has happened to me sooooooo often, that I do try to do that now. Having said that; on occasion, I've back tabbed and my post has still been there, so always worth a try if you haven't copied.

JF I think you can tell therapists as much as you want to as long as they know the 'problem' and the basic cause. I would get one by recommendation though if I could.

Welcome and welcome back to some.
For those asking, KinkyDorito is one of our gang, but she has a Dd with Leukaemia and she's been a bit bogged down lately (that's all I'll say as it's a very personal and huge battle she's on). We wish her well and hope she'll return soon.

Hi all

Just checking in. What miserable weather! I don't know what it's like in your neck of the woods but here in Coventry, it's absolutely awful. Have not ventured out this whole weekend.

Have managed to stick to the GR, although I just could not resist some pudding today. I had a couple of digestives with nutella on. I felt that I could have them as I had lunch but did not eat till I was full, more pleasantly satisfied. I find that if I eat till "full", then I don't feel that I can have a pudding as technically I am no longer hungry. Am making a lovely chicken curry for tea. Should warm the cockles of my DH's heart when he gets in from work today :)

Hope all is going well with you xx

MaloryMad · 29/04/2012 15:31

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been MIA...

I have just five words to write, for now. 10 days of hormonal hell. :(

I'm going back in the thread to try to catch up what I've missed. I'll be back later with an update about me.

oh and yea the weather here (Cheshire) is absolutely dreadful too.

JustFab · 29/04/2012 15:33

Thanks solo. A mum at school had hypnosis and it has worked but she has also followed the Cambridge diet for a long time and lost 5 stone. She looks amazing.

JustFab · 29/04/2012 15:35

I have had a tough day. I shouted swore at DD after a day of all the kids being sods but I have cuddled her and apologised and just taken them all swimming but I feel like such a shit and realised I am due on in a few days.

JustFab · 29/04/2012 15:35

Weather wise we have blue skies and white clouds after it has rained most of the day.

ppeatfruit · 29/04/2012 15:40

I'm glad it's not just me and L.A. Solo I always wonder if they just don't like long posts as i 've always managed to post short ones!

RosyWe were thinking of staying in but we went out and are glad we did 'cos we remembered there was a May Day village Goat Fair near us and it was great (a bit windy and wet though)! The french love their Fetes and it's shame if no one goes to them 'cos of the bad weather (they stay in for very little reason here Grin) though the way the drivers are in bad weather it makes sense not to join in IFYSWIM!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 29/04/2012 16:01

Hello all!

Brilliant weekend, I've been doing an assault course and then 3 hours dancing as my exercise Grin
I've eaten very well actually, although we will ignore all calories taken in in liquid form last night...

LaWobble · 29/04/2012 16:12

Will remember to do the copy thing in future solo and ppeat, yep it only ever happens on long posts, maybe they are restricting our word count Wink.

oooh, digestives and nutella rosy sounds devine. I had a latte and pain au chocolat for breakfast today, twas most enjoyable, although I struggled to leave a bit at the end, and only left a crumb corner of it. Have just been doing some exercising too (am kid free on Sundays) of my Davina dvd and really enjoying it. My tummy muscles definitely feel a lot stronger than they did a few weeks ago. Does anyone know a really good toning exercise dvd? But a low impact one?

Weather here vile (north west).

Malory and justfab, hormones are a bitch Angry.

Boffinmum, yay well done!!!! Smile

Happy rainy Sunday to anyone else I've missed.

LaWobble · 29/04/2012 16:14

Alibababa I like the sound of your exercise regime Wink, am off out for some liquid refreshment myself tonight...

Em2905 · 29/04/2012 18:01

Things are changing, i might not have had a weight loss yet, but my relationship with food is so different. Yesterday after a busy day with little food, starving, i ordered a chinese and wolfed it down. After feeling,to be honest, stuffed, i was dissapionted that i couldn't remember the taste of the food. normally i wouldn't have bothered about eating too fast, but this time it just felt really strange to not really enjoy the food.

Yoga is a great toning exercise

i've been having problems with losing posted, so write them in word first and copy over before posting.

It feels like winter here in Cheshire!

ppeatfruit · 29/04/2012 18:12

LA save some money and look at my Marvellous Muffin top Buster exercise on the previous page I think yes April24 to be precise (i've just checked)! With just that and some acupressure stretches I now have a defined waist which I didn't have really when I was a 21 yr old size 8!

We DO need the rain don't we though?Grin I just hope it stops before it floods. Shock

LaWobble · 29/04/2012 23:23

ppeat part of my lost large post was thanking you for the muffin top exercise. i'm doing it every morning and evening in bed and can definitely feel my muscles returning!

Em, I think the changed relationship to food is way more important than weight loss. That will come in time :)

Solo · 30/04/2012 01:10

My, we are a positive bunch :)

ppeatfruit · 30/04/2012 10:35

Morning all!! SmileThat's great! L.A. Also you can pull in those muscles slowly for a count of 20 and hold a few times through the day, I also do the slow stand on toes and hold while washing up too, every little helps you know!! (like the perineal exercises) no one knows you're doing them!) There are exercise programmes on telly around no. 265ish i think.

How's things solo are you back to work yet? Smile

MintCakeMavis · 30/04/2012 11:23

Hi all, had a poor few days. Two days of epic breast feeding meant three days of eating as much fatty and salty food as I could lay my hands on. But yesterday was better and today will be good.

Whoever said about counting how many times you chew, thank you. That's really helped me eat more slowly and focus on what I'm doing :)

Weather report here (Cumbria) glorious blue skies and warm but very windy!

JustFab · 30/04/2012 12:13

Afternoon! What a morning I have had but anyway, I am here now.

I am just tucking into pasta and pesto. I have weighed it before cooking the pasta and I know I would have cooked more than a single portion. I missed breakfast as accidently went out so had the kids penguin caramel biscuit but I am not beating myself up about it.

ppeatfruit · 30/04/2012 13:03

"I'm not beating myself up about it" WHEEE HEEEE brilliant!! just Smile

It was me mint it really does get you into the 'zone' doesn't it? the weather is weird we're in mid south west Fr. and it's rained for days with storms forecast and we have the C.H. on Shock

JustFab · 30/04/2012 13:08

Grin I figured passing out and crashing the car was a bigger deal than a biscuit!

I had my pasta and pesto and just felt satisfied. If I had eaten what I normally make I would be feeling yuk. I am taking a banana to have later while I wait for the kids as dinner isn't until 7 ish.

Solo · 30/04/2012 13:25

Pp no, not yet...keeping my fingers and everything else crossed for a January 3rd return.
