The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
  4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. So forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!!

The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry OH NO we're not!!! so come on in and start living your new life today!

shrinking Nice to hear from you and Arfur Ref. inexplicable exhaustion and bad unreasonable temper DH suffers from it when he's eating wheat, me as well actually but I don't eat it for varying reasons and there's a fantastic book out that explains the problem it's called 'Wheat Belly ' written by william davis if you google it you'll be amazed how what he says is so relevant to everything.

Solo · 27/04/2012 14:46

Well done LaWobble!! you will need a namechange at that rate!!
Rosy how did you get on? I'm convinced that you have done well :)

Hi BBB and arfur and anyone else I've missed out Blush

I haven't had a reply back from Kinky so I hope she and her family are Ok...don't want to bombard her with messages.

I'm tired out here. I haven't been doing great, but I intend to read the book and listen to the cd's this weekend at some point.

HiSols we cross posted!!

MardyBra · 27/04/2012 14:54

You've got loads on your plate nora with small children iirc AND a new business. I've been there in the past and I agree it can be overwhelming. It's hard to make time for yourself. But at least there isn't the hassle of calorie/points counting with Pauling. Glad you're managing a couple of runs a week at least.

MardyBra · 27/04/2012 14:55

Very impressed with LaWobble.

Solo · 27/04/2012 14:58

:) I'm not impressed with LaWobble!!! I'm blooming Envyous!! Wink

pp :)

Solo - it is, the wedding is in 3 weeks!

LaWobble - that is amazing, well done Grin

nora - sympathies, it is hard with small children + work/home, finding time for your marriage and focusing on losing weight. Not enough hours in the day!!

Mardy - I am so Envy I cannot foresee when I will be able to go and exercise during the day, but I so look forward to it!

By the way, if any of you have any tips on trying to get a dreamy 3.5 year old to focus on weeing in the toilet rather than his pants, I'd be grateful.

MardyBra · 27/04/2012 16:50

Ali it's the benefit of being self-employed and kids at school.

I used to have a 3.5yo who would wee his pants - would get far too engrossed in playing and couldn't be arsed. He grew out of it once he was in double figures eventually

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/04/2012 17:21

Jesus Mardy, I cannot bear the thought of another 6 years of it! That is exactly it, he is just too busy playing or whatever to be bothered going.

MardyBra · 27/04/2012 17:26

I exaggerate! He grew out of it by about 4, I think.

Rosylee1976 · 27/04/2012 18:26

Hello all

Gosh the thread has gotten so busy today. I can't keep up with everyone.

Just a quick post as the hubby wants the laptop. The PC is playing up atm.

The GP is very impressed as I have lost 6.5lbs since she saw me a month ago, but since I have only been Pauling for 2 weeks, that 6.5lbs in 2 weeks. I am very pleased with this result and can't wait to lose more.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Check in tomorrow.

MardyBra · 27/04/2012 18:30

Fantastic news Rosy. Really pleased for you.

JustFab · 27/04/2012 19:22

Thank you ppeat for suggesting I could join you all.

Em2905 · 28/04/2012 00:20

I thought I'd lost 3lbs this week, but it turns out my scales were on the blink and i've lost nothing. SadBlushAs a result I've had a bad, over eating, day. I'm paying for it now as I feel horrible and full. I may have only been Pauling properly for 2 weeks but can't believe the change I feel about food. Don't think I'll be able to over eat again!

I'm worried about having lost nothing, did anyone else have a slow start?

Xx

MardyBra · 28/04/2012 01:16

Welcome justfab.

Ladies - my nose feels thinner this evening. I can't believe I had a fat nose and didn't realise it! Grin

Rosylee1976 · 28/04/2012 06:58

Morning ladies...

Hope you are all getting to have a lie in instead of being up with the chickens like me. No matter how hard, I try, my brain just switches on around the 6am mark. Never mind, the house needs a good clean :( Not my favourite activity, but it should burn a few calories :o

Welcome JustFab. This is the place to be when you are trying to lose weight. We all lose at different paces and the main thing is that a loss is a loss is a loss. Em2905, do you think that you have lost inches? Do your clothes feel a bit looser? Sometimes we can't see the weight loss on the scale, but it is there on the body. Don't be disheartened, because a big part of this journey is about our mental approach to food which you are already seeing the results of.

MardyBra congrats on your thinner nose :o I would love to see my fingers get slimmer - right now they are fat sausages!

So I obviously came late to the thread - who is Kinky?

Hope you are all ok Solo, Ali Nora, LaWobble, Faith ppeat and anyone else I missed!

Oh, I meant to ask, how do you find the book on CD. I also have Paul on CD format, but I don't use it.

Check in later x

ppeatfruit · 28/04/2012 07:19

Morning everyone Smile

Rosy Wheeheee!!! Congrats!!

Justfab* EVERYONE is welcome here really!!! We may unintentionally ignore people when there are sooo many on here but we are friendly, encouraging etc.

Em P.M. says that to get over reliant on the scales is not a good idea (I haven't weighed for ages I go by my clothes and looking at my belly in the mirror!!) After all it could be Aunt Flo or whatever. But be kind to yourself!!!! Today is another day just get back in the saddle girl.

mardy praps change yr name to thin nose!!! No it's true though my shoe size is smaller as well!!

Ali I found it easier when they're running about without nappies etc. in the summer, those blasted pull ups are too comfortable IMO and you DO put a potty next to him don't you? Grin

ppeatfruit · 28/04/2012 07:30

Justfab I've just seen you on my "I'm on" I'm sorry I didn't recognise the name on here You are definitely in the right place again!! just listen to the C.D.s get the app. and book or whatever and you'll get into it fine it does take a while to 'click' and the way it clicked for me was the counting yr chews with every bite it has to be 15 to over 20 depending what you're eating of course Grin.

ppeatfruit · 28/04/2012 07:36

Rosy We cross posted! Me on the housework too DH returning from Budapest later so i HAVE to hoover the sitting room (his office) ! while he's away the dust in this stone house is incredible Grin

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 28/04/2012 08:04

Just popping in to say rosy that's fantastic! What a brilliant start, proof to your GP that you're committed and proof to yourself that Pauling works! Keep it up :)
I'm still not doing brilliantly but trying to be kind to myself. I'll get back on it when I'm well.

MardyBra · 28/04/2012 09:31

Take care faith

pp. I have changed my hoverer in recognition of my new slender nose.

JustFab · 28/04/2012 10:36

Just a quick hi to everyone as I am baking with DS2.

I have the book and CD and will start listening to it again.

I am going to do it this time if it kills me Grin.

ppeatfruit · 28/04/2012 11:52

brilliant just i won't kill you IMO just the opposite! 'cos when you're eating consciously you eat MUCH better, healthier food! It's how we should ALL eat Grin

ppeatfruit · 28/04/2012 11:54

I meant 'it' won't kill you DUH!

GossipWitch · 28/04/2012 12:15

hi can i join? I watched this paul makenna program on telly a few years ago and kept it up for a few days, my main issues with weight gain is eating the wrong things and eating too much of them.
