Slinky hope you feel better soon, dont worry about the weigh in, its not the end of the world, get yourself better then pick up were you left off Thanks

SlinkyB · 25/04/2012 16:09

Ah, cheers choc! That's more sympathy than I've been given by my own dp in the last week! Wink.

kid · 25/04/2012 16:15

Time to go and pick DS up soon, bet its starts raining any minute now.
Hope you are feeling better soon slinky, its hard being on plan when you are feeling rough. Best concentrate on getting well first and eat little and often.

I find that if I'm offering advice to others doing SW, its wrong of me not to follow my own advice so its helping me stay on plan. I am so tired though and I would so love to just order a takeaway but I know I must stick with it. I still have some way to go but its getting closer each week that i stick to plan. Thats what I keep telling myself anyway.

brafullofcrumbs · 25/04/2012 16:56

Hi everyone :)
Sorry to hear so many people are having a tough time at the mo :( I'm struggling this week to stay focussed as we're going away for the weekend and I've already mentally written the week off. My RL WI day is tues so today is the start of the week I've written off and I'm doing v badly already (5 biscuits and no fruit/veg with lunch). I can see I'm self sabotaging but can't stop myself :( Have also been having a tough time relationship wise with dh so I'm comfort eating too. Sorry for the meme post

SlinkyB · 25/04/2012 17:01

Kid, I'm taking half of your advice for getting well Wink.

Oh bra sorry to hear of RL probs, puts my cold in perspective, hope you're OK .5 biscuits isn't the end of the world, and you can do a lot of damage in a week, how about getting back on Wagon and just taking Fri/Sat/Sundays 'off'? Just keep thinking of WI next Tues?

FairhairedandFrustrated · 25/04/2012 17:40

bra (( hugs))

and Thanks to everyone else for letting my stay after my self pitying posts!!

Have a lot going on with my work/life balance at the minute & i'm going through some changes now that I know are affecting me in the wrong way. And even thought I was shocked with my gain, won't join the list but will tell you I gained 4.5lb - I never gain that, not even at Christmas :( I did have lots of free and superfree this week and made the best choices when I went out, but ah well, day one is almost over.

I usually weigh at group on a Wednesday night, but have a school meeting tonight that I couldn't get out of, so weighed last night. S'pose it'll give me an extra day to go for it!

Today so far:

B - Melon, grapes and yog

L - nothing, I went back to bed and only woke in time to pick the kids up from school Blush have snacked on melon & apple since.

D - diet coke chicken with sw chips, have put heaps of veg in to make sure I get my superfree.

I need to get back on track, I know I can do this, this plan works 100%, it's just that I need to work it :)

Back later x

LakeFlyPie · 25/04/2012 19:46

Just a quick one as I can hear DC getting out of bath.

FHF not at all teachery, I really appreciate your wisdom on this thread. I'm aware the plan changes subtly over time and I can't commit timewise to a RL group at the moment so any information in addition to all the great support on this thread is invaluable Smile

Food today (green again!):
BF: All bran, banana, sk milk
L: Cous cous, peppers red onion, tomatoes, apple, orange
D: will be chilli con carne, brown rice and green salad, possibly a blob of mango chutney if we've got any lurking in the cupboard (will check syns in book). Pineapple if it's ripe, grapefruit if it isn't.
S: Slice of ham just now as ravenous, Muller later if evening munchies strike.
cube of Turkish delight which I spotted at my folks house when collecting DC earlier and couldn't resist Blush(will look up syns later)
Will pm you now Facecrack

kid · 25/04/2012 19:58

My evening meal didn't go to plan as I got side tracked and didn't get home until 5:50 which was a bit late to start cooking dinner. So, we ordered a Chinese instead but I'm still within syns. I had chicken chow mein which is 7 syns for 380g. I also had spare syns for my fruit club which was 5.5 syns so thats only 12.5 for the day. I've got a couple of satsumas nearby incase I fancy something to munch on later.

Bra, hope you can work things out with your DH and that life is calm and settled for you soon. I don't think its worth writing the week off as you will have extra to lose next week. If you get back on the wagon now, you won't do as much damage as you would taking several days off.

Fairhaird, it can be hard trying to be organised with dieting which takes a lot of advance planning if you have lots of other things going on in your life. If you can manage to stick with it though, then thats one less thing for you to worry about. Maybe just try and sort out a couple of days worth of meals in advance if you don't have much time. Worst case scenario, could you can repeat those days?

Lake, turkish delight? YUK! I can think of so many nicer things to use syns on Grin

Slinky, are you choosing to listen to the eat often by any chance? Grin

I've made my lunch for tomorrow which I find really helps keep my mornings nice and calm. Tomorrow is another green day because they are easier to follow.

Good luck for DoD.

grinningbee · 25/04/2012 20:26

Evening!

Slinky Get better soon chick. Men don't understand that when we feel ill it's 'cos we really are. Not like their flaming man flu Angry.

Bra Oh, big sympathies to you. Hope things improve for you. It's rotten, and does somewhat take the focus off other things.

Still puzzled over the hea heb thing on green. Just finished my tea, and have to say those quorn sticky bbq fillets are really nice. Well worth a try if you haven't. Going to try the ginger and lime ones next time.

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/04/2012 20:57

Lake - don't go snacking on ham on a red day! You'll have to syn it now!

I think it is right that you can have 4 portions of cheese if you choose to on a green day bee. I guess it's because a lot of the green healthy Bs are protein based, and cheese counts as protein.

FaceCrack · 25/04/2012 21:04

Evening all.

I will be publishing the list any second now so anyone lurking, hurry up.

I am feeling ruddy horrible tonight so I am off to bed in a minute. I have one of those annoying hacking coughs.
hope all those feeling blue, bloated or fed up are feeling a bit cheerier now.
CSWS hope the interview went OK and fingers crossed something comes you weigh.

I may have to get the hang of these red and green days - 4 portions of cheese? Delish!

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/04/2012 21:04

Food for today (EE):
B wholewheat pasta twists, broccoli, cheese (HEa), strawberries
L bacon, lentil & orzo soup, apple, 2/3 graze box bread thing - 4 syns
D salmon, new potatoes, stringless beans, few peas, homemade 'summer coleslaw' (1-2 syns), watermelon
S 2x hi fi light bars (HEb)
May have another little treat later as burned 845 cals at the gym this morning.

FaceCrack · 25/04/2012 21:09

FaceCrack · 25/04/2012 21:10

Urm spot the error at the bottom of the list.
facecrack has gained 1lb this week, start weight 13stone 3lbs, now weighs 11stone 4lbs, total loss 1 stone 13lbs

SlinkyB · 25/04/2012 21:32

Ha ha face, took me a while to spot it - we'll blame our flu cold-ridden heads Wink

Flippin eck bee re-start or no reason-start, that's an amazing loss! And fab loss for you too kid - proof if ever it was needed that sticking to plan really work .

Speaking of cheese, had a lovely feta and red pepper omelette last night, was all gooey and yummy. Forgotten how much I like feta

Huffpot · 25/04/2012 21:32

Bee thats brilliant - well done to you and all the losers - geeze never turn down a place at the top!
Cheese you'll get back your 2 stone and more this coming week

Bra hope all goes well with DH

Home problems are awful

I've been a tad snappy and short tempered the last few days - the MIL situation is wearing thin but hopefully the support I'll get from my parents when they get here next week will top up my inner strength.
Potty training is still going and hes doing quite well but cannot wait till he poos IN the toilet instead of his undies....even though he thinks the splash it makes going in the loo is "cool"

Today has been a write off for me as its Anzac day and we made Anzac biscuits today and they're too yummy!

Still back on track tomorrow

kid · 25/04/2012 21:33

Great loss Bee, thats a fantastic loss Envy

Well done to everyone else too, a good week had by most it would seem.

I think I'll head off to bed soon. DH is listening to some rubbish music programme on his ipad and the TV has been on mute most of the night. Wish he'd use the earphones as I don't like the noise coming from the ipad. Hardly even sounds like music to me lol

SlinkyB · 25/04/2012 21:34

No-reason start?! Confused bloody auto-correct.

LakeFlyPie · 25/04/2012 21:52

WOW bee Grin

Chocolategirl3 · 25/04/2012 22:26

Sorry didn't get to post my weigh in result earlier, had no time as i was getting nails and eyes done.

Anyway completely pissed off gained half pound again this week, really dont understand as i have been an angel for 2 weeks now. Used 63 syns last week and 57 syns this week. Followed the EE plan to the letter and measured out my milk.

Last weeks weigh in i can understand as even though i was perfect it was a week after my star week and in the past i have either gained or maintained but for it to happen again urrrrrrgggggghhhh!

If i was weighed on Monday i know it would have showed a loss... could feel it, IYKWIM.

Very disheartened as i was sure i would reach my 1 stone award this week.

I must be doing something wrong but dont know what I've gone from losing 6lbs, 3lbs & 4lbs to gaining. Sad

I am using the online diary and being completely honest.

Stuck to my meal as planned tonight and bit everyones heads off that dared ask how i had done!

aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Huge Congrats to all who lost i am mega Envy

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/04/2012 22:45

Why don't you post your food diaries on here choc, in case we can spot something that may help?

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/04/2012 22:46

And well done on losses everyone. A good week in general it seems.

Huffpot · 26/04/2012 08:14

Yup Lake they land Wednesday morning and havent seen them since DS2 was a month old and he'll be 2 in 4 months so the excitement levels are building

I think I need to look at Bee's food diary too - amazing result!

Would be nice to get a good chunk off next week :-)

Huffpot · 26/04/2012 08:29

Ooooh nearly forgot food for the day
B:weetabix with hot water, a dash of milk, and a coffee. have had 2 glasses of water as well in an attempt to drink more which I'm terrible at and de-rail the negative effects of periods next week
L: vegie soup followed by a jacket potato and salad
D: pork loin chops with mash and loads of veg
Snacks:fruit, yoghurt and maybe an options later
Trying to keep my syns at about 10 per day

Chocolategirl3 · 26/04/2012 08:43

ok breakfast and lunch are the same each day

B = Activia yogurt, handful of grapes, boiled egg and apple.

L = Pitta heB, ham, cucumber, spring onion, chopped red pepper, 1 tablespoon 70% fat free salad cream 1 syn. followed by muller light.

snack = apple

Dinner last night and Monday was diced turkey breast do in fry light with courgette, peppers, red onion, mixed with tomato puree and baked beans. served with jacket pot and salad cream = 1 syn

heA = milk measured out.

I drink pepsi max or water during the day mainly pepsi max but increasing water intake gradually (i hate water)

other dinner this week has been syn free sausages (local butcher does them and they are recognised by SW) cottage cheese with a drop of sweet chilli sauce mixed in, potato with salad cream and mangetout = 1 syn

or SW syn free chips served with salad, beans, syn free sausages, red sauce using cheese as heA = 1syn

Sunday was gammon- no fat, served with string beans, carrots, potatoes done in sweet chilli sauce no gravy, mustard = 2 syns

other syns have been packet of revels, 4 celebrations, curly wurly, 4 large chocolate buttons, merangue nest,Half pack of polos.

No alcohol at all.

It may be the case that i need to vary my breakfast and lunches a bit, not having any chocolate at all this week so see if that makes a difference, though to be honest if i stick to my meal plans i would only use 2 syns a day except for Sunday when i would use 4 1/2 .

Come on wise ones tell me what to do i dont think my family could take another weight gain!!! Grin
