I don't think I could even raise 5 kg above my head notyummy!

Go Jellibelli, L4 was just calling you wasn't it Grin

I did BFBM early evening, and I really enjoyed it! I have to say, despite whinging about how hard I was finding bits of the cardio in Ripped, I've found the cardio bits in Shred and BFBM so much easier when I've re-visited since. I really do think Ripped has toughened me up!

Am going to try and make BFBM a regular feature as you do feel nicely knackered and sweaty at the end (if you can call that nice, you know what I mean!)

Hope everyone's having a good evening Smile

I have been really aching today from the madcap L1 and L2 of 6W6P at the weekend. I couldn't bear to do anything last night, did L2 ripped tonight.

It is a really good workout - as much as I hate mountain climbers and plank jacks. That kills me off. And I phoned the climb up your leg sit ups tonight, my stomach muscles just couldn't do anything.

Haven't done NMTZ for a while now, so will do that tomorrow.

greenfig · 13/03/2012 21:59

Have read through the thread now (post shredding of course!) & like others before me am seriously impressed at how hardcore you all are! Feeling inspired, going to get some weights, & try 6w6p & BFBM & hope this thread will keep me going this time. I also have lower back 'ishooz' & have to switch some of the exercises. Am enjoying the buzz, feeling stronger, look forward to seeing the results. Off to google NMTZ now....

threestepsforward · 13/03/2012 22:02

Getorf is it L2 that has the ab hold to bridge move? I find that really hard!

Congratulations on your 6W6P fest by the way, that is not for the fainthearted!!

GetOrfMoiiLand · 13/03/2012 22:04

Yes - that table top thing. Yes that is very hard, I wobble all over the place.

I don't know if I will do back to back 6W6P again, I was knackered, it is probably best to just do one of them and really go 100% I think. I think it is very cruel to finish a workout with mounatin climbers (hate 'em).

threestepsforward · 13/03/2012 22:07

Great stuff greenfig! Stick with the thread - it really helps keep you motivated Smile

I also switch a fair bit of the ab stuff for other alternatives as I know some affects my lower back. I think as your core improves though, you'll find your back is less affected. Not always the case for me, but it's definitely better overall.

Right must go, am procrastinating here and I have work to read through and send back. Night all...

Oooo Getorf I am doing NMTZ tomorrow too....

GetOrfMoiiLand · 13/03/2012 22:12

I do love NMTZ - but I think the first circuit is hard, those shoulder raises with lunges, I start off with those and think 'oh god'. The rest of it is a lot easier. Apart from those surrenders. I look like an old lady walking down the stairs when I do those - wobbling all over the place.

This is a great thread - really motivating.

Wish MN could get Jillian on for a webchat. Grin

Sparklyboots · 13/03/2012 22:32

I have done my 'run' and 8/30DS. Tomorrow, I don't think I'll have time for a run but have planned a killer intervals session running up and down the stairs in my building (we live on the 2nd floor). I'm actually a bit scared of it, but think JM would approve. In my superhero days, I used to consider workouts in which I felt sick, but wasn't actually sick 'successful;' it was always when doing hill intervals I got like this. Since giving birth, I've experienced visual disturbances when really pushing it which I'm pretty sure is not a good sign.

Well done everyone, you are all totally insane, sick, smokin-hot mamas. YY to MN getting JM for a webchat. I would treasure some (slightly abusive) lines of inspiration directly from JManiac herself.

jellibelli · 13/03/2012 23:56

Well I did it, so thank you all for the inspiration. I noticed, with a little shock, that at the end I wasn't sweating. I think I need to up the weights I thnk. I am sure I wasn't phonin it in.

All this talk of doubling up DVDs has got me wondering whether to give it a whirl.I think maybe, on one of my inspired days....

rosalux · 14/03/2012 09:26

RI30 L1D3 done this morning. Am so impressed by those of you who do back to back workouts. Respect. Think I may try using 4kg weights next week as I attempt a couple of the advanced variations for L1 (not the hollow man though, my goodness that is impossible for me and my overly curved back). Onwards and upwards ladies (or downwards for the scales)

Happypiglet · 14/03/2012 10:05

Well done sparkly, jelly and rosa.... Rosa I have problems with an overly curved back and all the 'hollow man' type exercise...especially pike crunches and windshield wipers...in fact I always modify them
Just finished NMTZ, the first circuit is hard GetOrf but I also find tricep and second abs circuit with the plank set really hard too.... But I love the last circuit!
I think I find the first circuit so hard partly because the warm up finishes with jumping jacks my absolute nemesis!!

knottyhair · 14/03/2012 10:14

Morning! Did a L1 6W6P this morning - haven't done it for ages, and although nowhere near as hard as L2, still a good workout. Think I'll do just 4 circuits of BFBM tomorrow (have to fit in a quick workout before the school run tomorrow), then either a Killer L2 on Friday, or I might give one of the workouts on my Biggest Loser Kinect game a go! I'd only got as far as setting it up before my cold kicked in.

Another one for a JM webchat - come on MN!!!

chocolateshoes · 14/03/2012 10:48

wouldn't that be so brilliant to have a JM webchat! Wow!

have taken a leaf out of Notyummy's book and did L4Ripped followed by L3Shred back to back with 5k weights. Am pleased that I didn't find it too difficult and how much easier L3Shred seems now. Am going to try to do a 'doubleJM' at least once a week - not sure I can fit any more in. Pleased with how it went though and feelingreally very virtuous (which is not a good thing cos I'll think I deserve a creme egg now!).

Rosa and HappyPiglet I have scoliosis and find hollow man hard too. And those side crunch things in the last circuit of L3Shred are very hard for me on 1 side but I have improved over the months.

Keep going everyone!!!

greenfig · 14/03/2012 10:56

Morning all! Thanks for the welcome, advice & motivation. Am 3lbs down since last mon despite a w/e offthe rails. Plan a L3 shred later, seem to remember struggling to get lift off in rockstars last time roundHmm
Due to a shift round in furniture am now exercising in a bedroom with a FULL LENGTH MIRROR Shock Can't decide if it's motivating or depressing!
Well done all you doing back to back, v impressed.

FruitShootsAndHeaves · 14/03/2012 11:11

5k weights!!!! Shock

I find it hard with 2kg!

I love a webchat too. I still get confused on some of the exercises when she tells you what you shouldn't do. Especially on the side lunges with arm raise or whatever they are, I hate those, I can only do it with one 2kg weight rather than one in each hand, or my arms snap off. I'm not really sure where my legs should be bending either! Grin

threestepsforward · 14/03/2012 12:50

Wow chocolateshoes, well done! I reckon that deserves at least a creme egg... Unfortunately mum has the biggest supply you have ever seen of malteasers and topic type bars from Lydl so any exercise I can manage is purely damage limitation at the moment!

JM web chat would be fab wouldn't it. Although I'd be worried she may have read the thread with speculation about her intensifying spray tans, hair and boob size, favourites in class etc. Grin

Back still not quite right but no worse from BFBM yesterday so may do that again later.

Have a good afternoon all Smile

greenfig · 14/03/2012 14:48

L3 shred completed & heart gargled! Did mostly Anita & phoned in the last few rock stars & replaced w jumping jacks but did it!
How good was that creme egg chocshoes?
Will now try to get downstairs without my legs giving wayGrin

jellibelli · 14/03/2012 19:42

Fruitshoots I am not quite sure which DVD and exercise you mean, but I am sure between us we can clarify the move for you. Let us know which one it is and we can get you really feeling it [evil] Grin .

notyummy · 14/03/2012 20:35

Fruitshoots- if it is the side lunges and arm raises in the Shred, then your leg should be bending at the knee. You need to sit back and down as you lean to the side, almost like you are trying to sit down in a chair which off to the side and behind you!! The arm raises are hard- I can't do them with more than 3kg.

Well done Choc- properly tough!

Did an 8 mile run today, and legs and bottom were a bit achy from the double ripped yesterday. Nothing tomorrow. Phew!

chocolateshoes · 14/03/2012 21:06

just back from parents eve and have polished off my creme egg - worth waiting for!

my rest day tomorrow too notyummy - phew!

Sparklyboots · 14/03/2012 22:08

Well done Chocolateshoes, Fruitshoots, Greenfig. I reckon I could do with watching my wobbly bits for extra motivation. V impressed with 8 miler, too, not yummy, it is on my slate for Sunday, and will be the longest I've run since pregnant...

No creme eggs for me; I had a 'spontaneous rest day' after awful night with DS (teething). So, obvs will be pushing extra hard tomorrow...

jellibelli · 14/03/2012 22:51

I had a 'spontaneous rest day today too.

From being lazy. Blush

But i did intend to run this evening when i got in, but i didn't get in till it was dark and I can't run from home in the dark as I can't see!! Grin

Am vaguely planning to run tomorrow morning before work to make up for it.

VenetiaLanyon · 15/03/2012 09:47

Morning all Smile

L2RI30 today; I nearly, nearly managed to stay in plank for whole mountain climbers / plank jack session - one day...

Greenfig it has taken me nearly a year to get any lift on the rockstars...I'm a slow learner....Grin

I had a question about elbows; mine have gone all scrubby and hard from too much plank work (esp. dratted walking plank), and I need to rescue them so that I look vaguely ladylike in my wedding dress. I have until May - has anyone else managed to rescue their elbows, or are yours fairly awful too?

rosalux · 15/03/2012 09:56

RI30 L1D4 done. Even after just 3 days I'm noticing a difference, though I appear to have lost the ability to do push ups. Am going to start listening to Paul McKenna CD when DS has his nap, as I really can't be doing with diets and just need to learn to eat better all the time. For good.
