jackster I'm considering bikinis too but still not convinced the world is readyHmm Sounds like a fab trip. Big countdown venetia not long now!Did 6w6p today again L2 but easy moves. Well done all & keep going newbies.

greenfig · 03/05/2012 11:39

you've cat sorry to hear about the job, it is def v hard at the mo. Would you like to do L2 together? I have been mixing them up as I get easily bored but am up for a stretch of L2 if you areSmile

YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 03/05/2012 12:31

greenfig that sounds good

I was aiming to start level 2 tonight, It will probably take me a couple of days to feel like I've done a good workout as I usually spend the first couple of times replaying the faster bits before I can keep up!

ooh how exciting, In a completely exhausting kind of way Grin

gingercat12 · 03/05/2012 12:41

Single leg burpees are beyond me, but in return I try to do two-leg burpees very enthusiastically.

Good luck with the wedding, Venetia.

I will get my 6W6P dvd today. Yay! Yesterday I did L3 of RI30, which I thought would be easy after so many days of L4. Well, it wasn't.

Just about to start Killer L3. I wonder what it is lke. L2 was so hard.

Karbea · 03/05/2012 12:54

Hello everyone,

What is 6w6p?

I ran 5k this am and then day 30day shred level 1 day 2 again.

I'm enjoying it, never done work out DVDs before.

I'd say I was pretty fit, just getting back into it after ivf and a lazy winter! I think I'll stick with my 2kgs for a bit.

6 Week 6 Pack

Happypiglet · 03/05/2012 13:26

Hi all
Well have done L3 of Ripped every day this week....slow progress... Today I managed for the first time to do both sets of jumping lunges but did do jump rope rather than one legged hops in-between! I do find it a really tough workout especially circuit 1 where even the abs stuff keeps me out of breath....it's hard to do stork stance whilst one is puffing and panting I tend to fall over!!!!
Will fit in another session tomorrow but then we are away all bank holiday so will have no chance to work out.

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 03/05/2012 13:57

ginger, I found that L3 of Killer was the only one that I felt the next day, but I think that sometimes you can find that the higher levels aren't necessarily the hardest, it all depends on what your body finds easier to do. As reported earlier I can do NMTZ with 3kg weights except surrenders where I find 1kg really tough. I like feeling like I have exercised so enjoy L3! Go for it!

threestepsforward · 04/05/2012 10:50

Good morning everyone Smile

Just checking in. No exercise at all for me this week apart from bike-riding for errands. Haven't even been walking the dog as he is on 3 legs too!

My plan is to do a Shred with low weights tomorrow morning (morning? I never do JM in the morning!) so wish me luck...

Everyone sounds like they're doing really well so keep at it Smile

p.s. Does anyone else find sensible eating goes out the window too when you can't exercise?
Luckily no chocolate or trigger stuff in the house but my word I've been packing away vast quantities of food, which I wouldn't usually do at home if I'm exercising. (Mainly bran flakes so I am, ahem, now very regular if nothing else Blush Grin)

OP posts:
greenfig · 04/05/2012 11:04

Yes I'm with you 3steps I only wish it were branflafkes I reach for!! I feel all cleansed when I exercise & want 'clean' food iykwim, when I don't I'm always looking for 'something'. When an apple doesn't do it, a yog until I finally end up with cheese & bics/toast or a cookie!
Am feeling it today you've cat & there was quite a bit of modifying going on! Oddly my buttocks are agony?! Did you give it a go? If you did I'll do again today so pressure's onGrin my bikini body is in your handsWink As itr were?!

YouveCatToBeKittenMe · 04/05/2012 12:47

greenfig I gave level 2 a go last night. I had to keep stopping and replaying and I actually fell over in a heap when I did those plank lifts with opposite arm and leg raises!

I can only just keep up on the first circuit so the second circuit was a bit impossible! I don't seem to be able to get my balance very quickly.

However I do feel it is more energetic so I should burn off more fat. I was still sweating profusely perspiring after last nights session but I don't feel I did it all properly so am not particularly achy today.
I have never had a bikini body so if it gives me one it will be a miracle Grin

greenfig · 04/05/2012 13:17

Well the first time I did L1 & found it relatively easy so skipped straight to L2 & I fell over too. I found it too fast & just way too difficult (serves me right!) I found it much better yesterday but as I said, I substituted a bit because of my arm & back & was doing modifications & not completing sets on others but def an improvement. I never really had a bikini body either. If only Jillian could make my legs longerGrin I'm trying to decide wether I'm just too old. Things are def improved over last 2 years but my poor old body is never going to have the benefit of youth again. Age makes me care less though! My children are fast approaching the age that they might care so perhaps I should take the chance while I can! Promise to do it later, will report back.

knottyhair · 04/05/2012 14:03

Hi everyone. Just checking in as well. Like threesteps, I haven't managed any Jillian since Sunday Angry. Had decided to give myself a "day off" on Monday which was lovely then the rest of the week, I've been having to go round to my parents' every morning - they decided at the age of 74, having never been near a computer, to buy an iPad. Which is great, but bless them, they seem to need a tutorial every day! I think this morning it finally started going in, but as I don't drive, I've been walking over to them (half an hour each way) so it's really been eating into my day. Really looking forward to getting back to it this weekend, and it will be needed as we've got 2 parties to go to. Everyone sounds like they're doing really well Smile.

nicnacinoonoo · 04/05/2012 16:18

My diet goes out the window when I'm not exercising too.

Had a day off on Wednesday but did a lot of walking. Done level 1 6w6p and ripped Mon, Tues, Thurs and today. Really hoping I'll manage to stick with it through the weekend now. Going to give shred it with weights a go tonight when the kids are in bed.

At least you'll have been burning a lot of calories with the walking knottyhair.

I walked to dd's play group today and wore my hrm, it was 50 minutes and I burned 344 calories. I've worn it for 6w6p and ripped level 1 as well and they are actually both 30 mins from the start of the warm up until the start of the cool down (I switch it off before the cool down). I could have sworn that 6w6p is longer, it certainly feels it. They've both been anywhere between 220-270.

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 05/05/2012 11:53

It's still raining here, was hoping to go out for a cycle but it's not much fun in the wet, l3 shred and BFBM instead, have a good bank hol weekend and I hope some of you see some sun!

threestepsforward · 05/05/2012 17:35

Well done Thisis and Nicna Smile

This weather doesn't help at all does it? We're all huddled indoors here with the heating and footie on, no desire to be outside at all.

I managed L1 Shred today with 1.5 kg weights. Didn't want couldn't manage heavier weights until I see if I'm really through this injury.
Good news is it all feels okay, so another Shred tomorrow I think. Some gardening (will say no more than that notyummy Grin) is also on the cards at some point.

Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday Smile

Morning shredders Smile

Ooo I'm feeling it today! Amazing what a difference just a week or so off makes....

No sign of sunshine here but at least it's not raining.

Hope everyone has a good one!

I haven't posted for a while as I have been 'off exercise' for a while with a throat inception and an enforced change to my daily routine, leaving me no time to exercise if I want to eat before 9pm! Anyway, I am back to normal now whatever that is.

Did Jillian 6w6P L2 on Wednesday and it gave me sore glutes the next day! Back to L1 yesterday with DH, which was much better band I've just been aout for a run in the sunshine this morning, so, hurrah! I am back in the swing again.

greenfig · 06/05/2012 23:26

have been off Jillian due to sickness bug, back to it tomorrow I hope. Sorry you'vecat! I had sore glutes too jelli I wonder which exercise does it?
Not more racy flower beds 3steps?
nicna that's interesting stats, I've just started using MFP surprisigly low don't you think? Certainly feels like much more than walking!

jellibelli · 07/05/2012 11:59

L3 Ripped for me this morning. I feel a bit Jelli all over now though, it's been a few weeks since I've done it. Hey ho another day done.

CHST · 07/05/2012 13:51

Hi there, long time no post! Glad this thread is as alive as ever! I really missed my Jillian! I did a month of turbofire and felt like it was too much cardio. It's really fun but I missed my strength training and wanted to start building more muscle soooooooooooooooo
I am doing her body revolution. It has three phases and I am on my last week of phase 1. Phase 1 consists of 4 weeks, workout 1,2,3 and 4 and cardio 1. So basically you do workout 1, next day workout 2, next day cardio 1, repeat and then a rest day sunday. That is for 2 weeks and then you move to workout 3, 4, cardio 1 etc. I only did one week instead of 2 for workout 1 and 2 as it felt pretty easy (think level 1 shred etc) despite doing advanced and plyo. workout 3 and 4 are also not super hard but i know it's going to get harder. Next week I will be doing workout 5, 6 and cardio 2. A lot of the moves you will recognise from other videos but I am having fun with it so far and enjoying watching my arms, abs and legs really get toned and sculpted. I don't expect to lose a tonne of weight doing this as I am pretty much where I need/want to be (120 lbs (8 stone 8) but I hope to increase my strength. There are 12 workouts altogether and 3 cardios. I have watched the last workouts 11 and 12 and even the people there are not finishing the moves so I am a little scared for that!!!

CHST · 07/05/2012 13:54

Oh and whoever bought some of Bob Harper's workouts, did you get them from amazon? I want to buy some to do after I have finished this

notyummy · 08/05/2012 08:26

Hello all! I hope all those still under the weather are improving and well down those who are sticking to it. CHST - the body revolution things sounds interesting. How long does it take each day?

Havent done much Jillian, although I have been exercising. Went running Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to being away from home. Got back on Sunday and DH and I did NMTZ yesterday morning, and I was trying really hard on the form (down low on the squats/lunges etc). My thighs feel it today!!

Think I may need to do a L1 6W6P this evening as I haven't done one for ages as I do find it such hard work....which probably means I should be doing it!!

CHST · 08/05/2012 09:43

notyummy half an hour each workout so completely do-able.
well done for getting low on the lunges and squats..I am going lower too...only because she convinced me I wouldn't fall on my bum (squats with presses)
