I think the distinction is that I don't do any jumping lunges not yummy Grin

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 26/04/2012 16:53

Hi, was on this thread last summer then fell off, have lurked and now feel I need to share my agony of RI30L4 - holy cow! At least NMTZ will seem easy now.

teedeeuk · 26/04/2012 19:39

Standing up to be accountable counted with the 'new' shredders! Will be doing L1D3 tomorrow. Am jogging running and shredding on alternate days and am determined to keep it up. May require shouting at every now and then...

notyummy · 26/04/2012 19:41

Hi Sign - I remember you! The second cardio in that L4 Ripped is a killer isnt it?

Welcome TeeDee

ThisisaSignofthetimes · 26/04/2012 20:19

Hi notyummy, that cardio circuit is the work of the devil. Did BFBM tonight and none of that is nearly as intense, mind you it would probably kill me given how long it is if it were!

greenfig · 26/04/2012 21:28

Did you do it binto? I find sitting on the loo post Jillianing a good test of my thigh workoutGrin Hope you're feeling better 3steps poor you. Who was it (notyummy?) that said killer & ripped were ok? I was beginning to contemplate buying them & you've all scared me off again! Just L1 6w6p for me today & was a bit bored 2nd time round. Hi to sign & Tee Keep going!

notyummy · 26/04/2012 21:31

Killer not too bad I think. Ripped Ls3 and 4 pretty tough.

bintofbohemia · 26/04/2012 21:38

Greenfig- I did! Glad I did level 2 , gave my thighs a break. Yeah, sitting on the loo has been almost impossible, have been having to lean on the sink as support! I presume this can only be a good thing?

rosalux · 27/04/2012 09:43

RI30 L3D10 done. Goodbye L3!!! Am almost excited about starting L4 next week, though am a bit scared by cardio 2 judging by what you've all said. Am really trying to work on my eating as if I am developing a ripped body it is hidden under layers of flab Blush

greenfig · 27/04/2012 09:51

Go RosaluxSmile

rosalux · 27/04/2012 09:59

Thanks greenfig Thanks

notyummy · 27/04/2012 13:07

Well done Bint and good luck Rosalux.

Just done NMTZ. Wanted to run but weather just so grim....

knottyhair · 27/04/2012 13:44

Good luck with L4 Rosalux, I really like it. Well done Bint! Sorry you can't get out for your run notyummy Sad. I did L1 6W6P early this morning then "marched" into town straight from the school run. Wanted to get some new jeans but couldn't find any I like - but really Shock at how the sizes vary from shop to shop! I was either an 8 or 10 in Next depending on the style, and either 10 or 12 in H&M. It just goes to show it's not worth getting too focussed on the size you take.

greenfig · 27/04/2012 14:20

Yes knotty I can never understand how people manage to buy online as sizings vary so much. A few weeks ago I bought some cheapy skinnies in new look & was roomy in a 10 in 1 colour & def a 12 in another colour, same styleConfused I do like their mirrors though, I'm sure they're magic ones as i looked not just thinner but tallerWink worth a bikini shop even if the bikinis are crap to make yourself Smile!
Yes def a good thing bint will soon seem worth it. Elbow a bit sore again so thinking maybe BFBM. Weather is set for w/e I think notyummy Sad

Jacksterbear · 28/04/2012 08:53

knotty I am the same size and IIRC very similar height and weight to you - if you are looking for coloured skinnies I bought these Oasis jeans recently in a size 10 and they are really flattering.

L3 Ripped just done. Man that is one unpleasant way to spend 25 mins!! Did L2 6w6p during the week and that was frankly a breeze in comparison!!

Have a great weekend everyone.

knottyhair · 28/04/2012 10:00

Thanks for that Jackster Smile.
Did Killer L1 this morning. Managed to do mostly advanced versions and added weights where possible (except for the swimmers - my lower back really pinches if I try weights with that one). I find those hamstring curls in plank a bit awkward - think it might be my weird hips.
I've just ordered a Bob Harper Totally Ripped Core DVD (he does Biggest Loser USA with Jillian) - does anyone else have any of his stuff?

notyummy · 28/04/2012 10:38

I don't Knotty- I haven't worked out how to unlock my DVD player to play his stuff.

Weather forecast says rain may stop at sometime before lunch. Really want to run!! Forecast is dire for tomorrow (heavy rain all day, 6 degrees and gusts up to 40 knots...) so it's today or nothing. I may just have to get wet and shorten the route slightly.

knottyhair · 28/04/2012 10:45

notyummy, the one I've ordered is Region 2 so can be used here! Have a look on Amazon if you fancy it Smile.

notyummy · 28/04/2012 10:48

Ooh, I will do Knotty- I didn't know any of his stuff was available in region 2. Thanks.

threestepsforward · 28/04/2012 13:38

Hope you manage to get out for your run notyummy, it's looking grim here (south of England) and the forecast isn't showing any improvement Sad

I'm still on the injury bench. What on earth have I done to myself?! It's even uncomfortable when I swallow food but it's a muscular thing as it also hurts when I twist my torso round! If anyone is an anatomy expert and can tell me what I've done to make swallowing food uncomfortable please let me know Grin

Still reading the thread though and well done everyone, great stuff as always! Knotty let us know how you go with the new (non-Jillian Shock) DVD!

I injured my shoulder again, showing off to my friend about how hard B's spiderman press-ups were in 6w6pk. What a plonker I am :(

Sorry to hear you're still in pain Three. Rib muscular injuries can take a while to settle. Sometimes the muscle spasm causes other muscles to be mis-aligned hence the discomfort elsewhere. Glad you can still manage chocolate- that is a vital skill Grin

threestepsforward · 28/04/2012 19:19

Aw no gypsyfloss Sad Hope you are on the mend soon...
And thanks for the info on my ribs, that would make sense, tis definitely the most bizarre injury I've had to date!
Hope everyone's having a good weekend Smile

knottyhair · 29/04/2012 09:56

Threesteps, that sounds really painful! Look after yourself. And you too, gypsy, hope your shoulder feels better today.
Did 4 circuits of BFBM this morning and added weights for as many of the moves as I could. It's definitely my least favourite Jillian DVD. Having a rest day tomorrow. I've had DP at home for the last few weeks working on our house which is nice in some ways, but I'm definitely used to my own company Grin. He's off to Wales tomorrow to pick something up so I'm having a "day off" and plan to plant myself on the sofa after the school run and watch a few episodes of The Bridge (DP won't do subtitles so I don't get much chance to watch it). Planning a Ripped L2 on Tuesday and Shred L2 on Wednesday.

greenfig · 29/04/2012 10:26

Take time to recover both of you. 3steps dp did a rib muscle & was in so much pain convinced himself it was his heart & worriedly went to drs.Hmm Smacks of man flu to meGrin but seriously I know it was v painful & took a while to repair. I had a day off jillian & did some pilates/ yoga stuff as was working late last night. The plan is to do 6w6p this am & some NMTZ/BFBM this eve to combat the roast& wine/impact on post w/e weigh in tomorrow! I agree knotty I get a bit bored I find the format a bit slow I think. Enjoy your day home alone. Bliss!
