OMG what is that woman doing. DC in hysterics especially when I paused it and she had her toungue out!!
So done L2 Ripped again. Still ache but it has eased slightly. Got thru first time round of plank jacks and mountain climbers so a little bit better!
Off to have an "awesome day" hope everyone elses Friday is good.

yUMMYmUMMYb · 20/04/2012 09:47

Jacksterbear, i look forward to the day where i can call L1 shred 'easy'. Finding night time after DC in bed is the easiest time to fit it in. They are only little so gives me best chance to do it.
Notyummy - i am impressed by your running. I am contemplating starting again after several years of nothing. I just need to get past the having to stop and walk every minute. Might wait until it's dark tonight and then go out...

moajab · 20/04/2012 13:33

Ok, so just survived my first attempt at 6W6P! I found it harder than the Shred, in terms of having to contort into impossible positions! It seems harder on the tummy muscles, but that's a good thing. :o

rosalux · 20/04/2012 14:14

RI30 L3D5 done. So pleased this week is over! Hoping that a couple of days rest will make next week easier and more fun. A

Jacksterbear · 20/04/2012 14:19

Yummy, I still find bits of L1 shred (the arm raises in the last circuit in particular) hard after a year of Jillianing, hence the ""!

I am loving Body Flex Woman's leotard!! Grin

notyummy · 20/04/2012 14:22

I had a leotard like that about 20 years ago - the shame!

Gwithianrocks · 20/04/2012 14:46

hello all Smile I am asking for a virtual kick up the backside please! I did Jillian (shred/nmtz/bfbm) last year, loved it and was visibly tinier and more toned. 8 months on have piled on the pounds and my gut is back to sticking over my jeans. I know that Jillian will fix me....but can't seem to get the oomph I need to get off the sofa and back in the zone! I need to start tomorrow morning. I need to be really dedicated...but oh I know its going to huuuuurt!

threestepsforward · 20/04/2012 16:04

Gwithian get off your butt and get Shredding (said in bootcamp commander manner Grin)
Good luck, you can do it, and you'll feel sooo much better! Come back and post and tell us you've done it tomorrow Smile

Guys I'm really not feeling the pain any more from Jillian stuff, she's just not testing me any more...so I have decided I may give that bodyflex a go today. I've been warming up my face in preparation, wish me luck...

Grin

We need pics!

And YOU! YES YOU Gwithian!! Get moving!!

8 miles done today in just over an hour, so a good time. Knees feeling it slightly. Need to consult with DH about what Jillian we will be experiencing tomorrow - I am leaning towards NMTZ.

nicnacinoonoo · 20/04/2012 16:10

Hi, Gwithian you sound like me, I did the shred and 6w6p last year but then fell off the wagon and haven't been able to get back on consistently until now (hopefully). I'm just trying to remember how much better I looked to motivate me. I've also bought some new Jillian dvds so that it's fresh and exciting rather than the same old thing. Maybe that would help you get back on track?

Gwithianrocks · 20/04/2012 18:59

oooh you're a scary lot! right...have dusted down my hand weights (found behind the sofa...) and am ready to go for tomorrow morning...am sure that if I get 4 or 5 under my belt I will be away. Will check in tomorrow morning. Am going to do a Jillian lucky dip and pick one of the three at random to do. I actually have butterflies in my tummy thinking about it. Eeekkkkkk. Thanks for the boot ... will let you know how I get on Grin

gypsyfloss · 20/04/2012 20:27

Good luck - you'll be fine and back in the swing of it in no time. Says the woman who hasn't managed to do any exercise at all since posting a couple of days ago Grin

threestepsforward · 20/04/2012 20:51

Good luck tomorrow Gwithian, you'll be fine, I bet you enjoy it! Smile

Last day of exercise before I take 2 days off as a friend is coming to stay. In the past 3 days I have done L1 6W6P, L2 6W6P and L3 Killer. Thought I should mention this in case anyone thought I really was off to do Dynasty Bodyflex Grin

I feel like I've been hit by a heavy vehicle, aching all over!! By the end of Killer I was wobbling and puce. Please don't let me put anyone off trying it though...the consensus seems to be it's not too heavy-going. I am most definitely a wimp Grin. I was also wobbling and puce at the end of L2 6W6P, but the consensus on that is that it's buggery hard, so that's a wee bit better!

Will check back in on Monday so have a great weekend everyone Smile

Changed plans & did BFBM on thurs lunchtimeish & planned to do L16w6p in the eve but ran out of time & went for an early night wiped outConfused Was out all day & took unscheduled day off yest. Had cake & chocs with dd & a movie instead. Hope to find time today or I'll slip out of my groove. gwithian we can shout at each other, I did exactly the same as you last year & def need the virtual boot too Grin

Gwithianrocks · 21/04/2012 07:58

Right! this is it then - had breakfast about 30 mins ago and so giving it another half an hour and then I am going to break BFBM out of hibernation. Greenfig and gypsy are you with me!?! Threesteps, nicnac and notyummy are too scary to disobey Grin

greenfig · 21/04/2012 08:26

I promise I will. Can't do first thing as it takes my back a while to wake up so surfing in bed with dd. In town all am then out again with her this avo. Hope to fit one in before I have 7 for a sleep over Shock Go for it gwithian & gypsy I think I'll try NMTZ & see how my arm holds up.

notyummy · 21/04/2012 10:12

Come on everyone!! DH and I are doing NMTZ in about 30 minutes. DD intending to join in with the 1.5 kg weights - she is 5 years old and has the most amazing core and upper body strength. Can do loads of press-ups and plank stuff (not that I have been forcing her to do anything...she just copies us!)

gypsyfloss · 21/04/2012 10:33

I'm in. Just need to get out of bed first :)

gypsyfloss · 21/04/2012 11:31

Right 6w6p L2 done. Hmmmm, bloody hard work and a bit too much swinging around weights for my shoulder. So I think I'll stick to L1 and alternate it with the Shred/ working thru Ripped instead.

Starving now...

notyummy · 21/04/2012 12:16

L2 is hard isn't it?

NMTZ done. I worked out that it is at least 6 weeks since I have done it and it felt tough because I hadn't done it in so long. Did do weights and press-ups/abs stuff etc on holiday, but not for such a sustained period as NMTZ requires.

gypsyfloss · 21/04/2012 13:01

It's not just hard notyummy,it's so fast too.

I've decided that I'll go back to working out 6 out of 7 days, rather than alternate days and alternate shredding & 6w6p L1 only.I know the Shred works for me and if I get bored then I can have a go at one of the Ripped levels.

I'm not a born exerciser but Jillian really is the business. If it wasn't for old knees and a dodgy shoulder I'd be just like Bashira...definitely Grin

Gwithianrocks · 21/04/2012 16:33

I did it! BFBM . Phew.... now to make sure I do one again tomorrow. Think I am going to go for shred on weekdays as quick and can do before school/work and then a longer one on weekends. Need to lose about 1.5 stone but most of all I need to get fitter and more solid less wobbly. Thanks for all your encouragement

should i look at 6w6p???? is it fab? Could add to my birthday list I guess Grin

gypsyfloss · 21/04/2012 17:07

Wahay well done Gwithian- good work.

I'm not sure that 6w6p is all that fab tbh. It's quite fast and furious and I think it would be easy to go through the motions without really working your abs and keeping good form. Despite that it's still good ; I'm just not sure I'd buy it again. (Having said that , it was only a fiver from Amazon) What about NMTZ instead?

I've banned myself from buying any more Jillian until I've done them all at least once...so that's all of Ripped to get through...

gingercat12 · 21/04/2012 21:02

Bodyflex is hilarious.

Life I also had a look at some reviews on Amazon, and somebody was complaining about the Jillian videos, because Anita, Natalie, Shelly, Bashira and the others are dancers. She tought it was unfair. Shock

In the last 3 weeks I missed a full wek due to illness, and another 3 days to a business trip. I exercised all the other days and ate sensibly, and still lost 2 pounds. I love Jillian! Am currently still doing RI30L4 (you can never do enough of it) and Killer L2.

Lifeisquiteabsurd · 21/04/2012 23:01

Maybe the reviewer in question wanted 'the talent' to be more in line with Zsa Zsa Gabor's idea, i.e. she sits there while an enormous hunk of a man grabs hold of various parts of her body:

And forget about having the nerve to use dancers, how about ex-porn star, Traci Lords, leading a rather dubious workout - while rapping. Yes, you read that right. Rapping. With such brilliant lyrics as:

WARNING the above link is definitely not suitable for little people. Rather disturbing to the very old as well. This really will cause soul decay.
