Morning all! bobkate think of it as 4 days done not 3 days not. As I keep saying super impressed at you managing to fit it in with little ones, but it will be worth itSmile yhen you won't end up like Idid with 2 stone to lose & 0 tone when your 'baby' is 7Shock! It was too easy, just another 3lbs each year & I convinced myself it was hardly noticeable & ageHmm
Hope you're feeling better knotty.
I managed most of NMTZ yest before I had to get ready for work & am feeling it in the arms today, am also back down weight wise which has given me a boost.
happy piglet you must be tiny wee now! Your results are keeping me going. Enjoy todays sunshine, it's on its way outSad

Happypiglet · 01/04/2012 19:58

Arh thanks Greenfig sorry to hear you have been under the weather knotty hair hope you feel back up to JMing soon!
In a moment of madness I tried L3 of RI30 today...OMG the first strength circuit is awful! My thighs are still burning 11 hours later. CV stuff ok except for jumping lunges which I hate! Will keep at it! Next week may prove problematic as the DC are off on holiday but will try my best to do another three sessions before Friday.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Snow on the way apparently!!

VenetiaLanyon · 02/04/2012 09:33

Hello everyone Smile. Hope that you're feeling better, Knotty.

Happypiglet, hope that you're wrong about the snow...lovely sunshine here at the mo...

Killer L1 today; it may only be level 1, but I think that it's a good workout, which definitely makes me sweat. I try to do bicep curls with the weights on the moves where Nadaleee only holds one, as I'm worried about losing tone on top if I just do Killer too often.

PS Does anyone else think that Anita is much, much taller than she is in the Shred....?!

rosalux · 02/04/2012 09:44

RI30 L2D6 done today. I did all Shelley (as much as I could). Always feel better after a rest weekend, even if my eating goes to pot. Still, at least the snickers I had after last night's dinner was essentially instead of the portion of fried rice instead of as well as. Small victories. Am both excited and terrified by prospect of L3. Definitely no jumping lunges for me though (I don't even do plank squats as my arms simply cannot cope after the plank jacks and mountain climbers). 4 days to go to massage...

knottyhair · 02/04/2012 10:16

Morning! Thanks for the well wishes - much better and did L3 Shred this morning, found it tough but enjoyable! Planning to do Ripped L3 and 6W6P L2 over the next 2 days then we're off to London on Thursday for the day starting with brunch at Roast so I think I need all the Jillian help I can get before that. Hope you've all got nice weather - beautiful today here but "wintry showers" forecast for the next couple of days.

Jacksterbear · 02/04/2012 11:01

Morning all. I did Ripped L3 for the first time today (HappyPiglet we are still in sync!). Oh. My. God. That's the first time a Jillian workout has beaten me in that I just don't have the body strength and balance to do a lot of those moves properly Sad. Don't know if it's worth persevering with it to try to improve or if there's no point and I have to admit defeat for now rather than risk injuring myself doing it all wrong.

Oh and Venetia, now that you mention it, wtf IS going on with Anita's height - can only presume it must be the camera angle! Confused

Glad you are better knotty. And well done everyone Smile.

Sparklyboots · 02/04/2012 12:25

Good morning all, am so glad to be in a new week as the last one petered out into rubbish, really. Though I did manage a shred yesterday! I have one planned for this evening and have been for my run. I have been eating okay too - not brilliantly but have stopped constantly grazing and am having proper meals. More or less.

Can't wait to get some more DVDs but making myself 'complete' the shred first; I did the first level really easily (in terms of motivation/ finding time) but have been a bit naff with the second; got another 6 or 7 to go. Finding the squat thrusts an absolute mare - it's not that I find the move itself so very bad, but that they come at that particular point in the workout kills me.

So nice to hear about others' progress and results. Well done all!

FruitShootsAndHeaves · 02/04/2012 14:12

30DS level 3 day 3 today, although I won't do it till tonight

level 3 seems easier, I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly though as some of the moves seem quite easy!

I can't do the proper sit ups, I just can't pull myself up Blush does everyone else manage the sit ups? I can do Anita's version!

I can really feel my stomach muscles pulling today, first time I've really noticed it in my stomach. It's making me happy as that's my main area I want to work on.

Sparkly I never managed all the squat thrusts as fast as they do them. They started to really affect my knees and I agree that they come at a point when you are just too knackered to do them all. Like that second lot of double jump rope when my pelvic floor shouts "you're having a laugh" and gives up Grin

Hope everyone else has a good shedding week.

What DVD do people recommend I get next. The 6w6p or the ripped one?
It's my stomach that needs most work.

greenfig · 02/04/2012 15:38

Phoned it in on L1 6w6p yest. I did the 1st round but did some pilates instead of the second, I just couldn't face it for some reasonConfused. I may give myself a day off today to see if I pick up a bit of energy. Am excited to hear she can even make me taller, anyone know which dvd it is?Grin
fruitshoots I got 6w6p, NMTZ & BFBM to follow shred & I also need to work on my tum. I think my fav is NMTZ, prob because the exercises suit me as I find some I can't do because of my back. I enjoy L1 6w6p but found L2 way too fast to manage, I kept losing my balance.
Husband can now notice some changes which is encouraging as I can have a totally new haircut without him noticingGrin. I remember somebody saying on the dukan thread that losing fat is like melting snow so the last that went on comes off first & the stuff thats been arouind the longest is always the last to go. I have lost it from over my bottom/hips & tum & am looking forward to seeing some change in the inner thigh department v soon!
knotty have a fun time in London, hope the weather holds for you.
Keep going sparkly think of your superman suit when she talks of bikini & jeans shopping!

Happypiglet · 02/04/2012 19:09

jacksterbear I did L3 for first time yest and today my thighs and bum ache like mad! In a way that they haven't since I started on this whole exercise malarkey! So I agree it is mega tough. I will try to persevere although no chance today with DC off and cannot face it now!

Sparklyboots · 02/04/2012 21:48

I have shredded, hurray. . Tomorrow I have agreements for runs and shreds. On the minus side, there is an apple crumble in the oven. Perhaps I will not bother with my main course? Surely it's better just to eat dessert if you're going to eat dessert? Anyway, good work everyone. Can't wait til my arse starts lifting away from the middle of my legs.

threestepsforward · 02/04/2012 22:02

Hello all! Just checking in, lurking mainly while I sort things out but still reading and cheering you all on!

Sparkley, can't really advise you on Apple-Crumble-gate unfortunately, ahem! Put the pants week behind you and look forward to a new week of Jillian delights!

Jackster, keep at it with L3, I remember it was a Big shock...and moaning about it on here for a good while! I think for a while I did a fair bit of her one-leg stuff with two until I was steadier. Also standing next to something like a table / desk helps to balance one hand on - cheating I know but it does help... It's quite a step up I think from her other 20-min stuff, but I reckon you should keep at it and in a few days you'll nail it Smile Also, what I found really motivating was doing Ripped and then going back to earlier DVDs I'd done, then you can really see how much you've improved...

Well done too to everyone else!!

Just wanted to also say thank you so much for the kind words, it really touched me [soppy git emoticon]. Life finally returns to some sort of normality for me next week and I think I'll be back on track, yay! Until then, I'm in a weird sort of holding bay, but I am just about keeping it together!

Will check back in next week Smile

Hmm, my "War and Peace" posting style obviously hasn't improved...

3steps thanks for the encouragement re L3 will give it another try! And glad things are looking up for you. X

rosalux · 03/04/2012 09:44

RI30 L2D7 done. DS managed to sleep through to almost 7am today - a miracle. Here's hoping it's the start of things to come. Anyway, managed my workout with renewed vigour even though the weather has returned to its usual rubness. Good to hear things are getting better 3steps and keep up the good work everyone.

VenetiaLanyon · 03/04/2012 09:46

Glad to hear that things are perking up a bit, Threesteps; hang on in there Smile

knottyhair · 03/04/2012 10:01

Threesteps, glad you're feeling better, and rosalux, that's great that your DS slept until 7am! Sparkly, how was the crumble??
Did a L3 Ripped this morning, which meant more jumping lunges. 6W6P L2 tomorrow then day off on Thursday when we go to London. Takeaway night with the girls tonight. 2 of us are Jillian mad and "jokingly" suggested we do a quick Shred whilst we wait for it to arrive, but the look on the other two's faces suggested that idea is not a goer Grin. Have a good day everyone x

Happypiglet · 03/04/2012 19:56

So just done L3 Ripped D2 it was almost worse than D1 because I knew what was coming. Did ok except with jumping lunges which are awful. And didn't do second set of duck walks (not sure ducks are meant to walk backwards!) but subbed it with a second set of static squat with those odd rows which she seems to miss off at the end of circuit one strength..
knotty hair I think you should go for the shred pre take away idea! You might convert some more to Jillian!

Sparklyboots · 03/04/2012 21:53

Hello 3steps glad you are still around and looking forward. Congrats too, Rosalux - I have fantasies of getting a run in before DS wakes up, perhaps sometime before he is a teenager... The crumble was lovely, thanks knottyhair but I suspect you should be sticking with plain food atm... I did only pudding, no main so figure I didn't eat so much more than I would have anyway

I have ran and shredded today. Wednesday is my official day off, but it always goes tits up at the end of the week so I might do something anyway. Still finding the shoulder pain quite extreme in L230DS. This better work.

rosalux · 04/04/2012 09:20

RI30 L2D8 done. Had to drop down to 2kg weights as my right shoulder is hurting. Hope I haven't properly damaged it as I really want to move on to L3 next week. Restarted PMK properly, i.e. not reading whilst eating, amazing how much difference this makes to feelings of fullness. Had some wine last night but didn't feel the need to scoff the Easter egg our cleaning lady bought DS (who is 7mths!) which is definitely progress in my book. Still listening to the cd every day which I imagine must help. I listened to a hypno birthing one before DS was born and had a really simple birth which almost certainly had nothing to do with it, but who knows...

knottyhair · 04/04/2012 09:57

Happypiglet, I'm with you on the jumping lunges! Sparklyboots, well done on running and shredding, blimey! Hope your shoulder pain eases, that sounds a bit worrying, so take it easy. rosalux, hope your shoulder is OK as well and hope you find the PMK helpful.
Had a lovely indian takeaway night with my mates last night. No Shredding involved, but 2 of us did attempt a slightly drunken zumba routine to some god awful song that her 6 year old DD loves Blush. Did L2 6W6P this morning - still find it insanely hard - I find I get to the end of the first go round and think "this isn't too bad actually" but the second go round kills me! I do like it though Smile.

jellibelli · 04/04/2012 11:10

I've been lurking but thought I'd post today.

Did good ol' L16W6P this morning. I did it with DH but I woke up and he put the DVD on so I had about 5 mins between waking up and starting the warm up. A bit of a rude awakening really. Ho hum, it's done now. Not sure what tomorrow will bring. I have recently finished Ripped and now need a new Plan for Exercise....

bobkate · 04/04/2012 21:35

Just checking in quickly...easter hols are skuppering my Jillian time a bit, hoping to get back at it on Friday. Well done to everyone else for cracking on Smile 3steps glad that you're feeling a bit better Smile

greenfig · 05/04/2012 09:14

Morning! 30 days completed min of 5 days p/w & not super strict lo carbing. Had hoped to lose 1/2 stone but...
-41/2lbs
down approx 2 % BF (didn't write down original)
Now into 'ideal' bracket for BF & BMI
Lost 1cm from waist, hips, arms, upper & lower thighs
2cm from boobs & tummy.
Am pretty certain HmmI can see some definition emerging & feel stronger, fitter & no longer achey.
Will def stick to it this time & hope that I will have reached my target in another month.
Are you still here not yummy?
Glad you're on the mend 3stepsSmile

VenetiaLanyon · 05/04/2012 09:53

Congrats, Greenfig; those are great stats Smile

I might have an enforced slowdown over Easter, as a result of staying with people with very small living rooms....trying not to panic....
