Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

Well done everyone on all your loses, it's nice hearing about from here (as I'm not going to meetings) I find it quite exciting . I lost another two pounds on Sunday so I'm up to half a stone and very pleased. Not sure I can tell any difference in my body yet but nevermind.

I don't often use all my weekly points. I tend to use one or two a day as I find 26 points tricky to stick to and then occasionally I have a very bad meal (out or takeaway) and just assume I've blown the lot. I definitely think I wouldn't stick to it if I couldn't do that occasionally - my social life still revolves around food!

Ginger4justice · 28/02/2012 15:07

Oh and sanuk I totally rebel against myself, and specifically think 'oh fuck it I'm having a mars bar\steak\glass of wine' for no reason. I think inside I'm still a teenager and I have no one else to rebel against. My brain is a strange place.

WeightyKaty · 28/02/2012 16:02

Hello I'd like to join the gang please...

I'm 5'9 and weigh 14"12 eurgh.

I have been doing WW for a couple of weeks and have only lost a couple of pounds. I have been going to the gym/pilates 4-5 times a week and have eaten my bonus points but none of my exercise points. When I have done WW in the past I have lost lots in the 1st or 2nd week so bit disappointed this time round that I haven't.

Anyway no matter! i'm feeling really motivated - I have several weddings this year and I'm hoping my bf may pop the question too so I want to be at least 11.5 stone and a size 12. Currently I vary from a size 14-18 depending on the shop. Although I refuse to buy an 18!

I weigh in on Fridays and am hoping for some decent numbers this week!

Well done to everyone who has been doing well and motivating me to join in!

hattifattner · 28/02/2012 21:46

welcome Katy!

Im finding that days I exercise in the morning, I feel much more motivated and Im less likely to snack or cheat. Tomorrow is a run day, so hopefully I shall be virtuous and smug by end of the day! Grin Heres hoping for a couple of lbs off this week!

maxpower · 28/02/2012 21:50

hi Katy, well done on the weight you've lost so far! V impressed at your gym/pialtes commitment. I've spent the day in bed with sinusitis.

maxpower · 28/02/2012 21:51

*pilates Blush

Vajazzler · 28/02/2012 22:25

Evening all checking in quickly lost 3.5 this week 7st0.5 total. Gutted the WW leader left his stones at home I love those little pebblesGrin

ObviouslyOblivious · 29/02/2012 03:17

That is wonderful Vajazzler, well done!

Rezolution · 29/02/2012 08:38

Well done Vajazzler I am off to the /s for a swim. Think I might try a bit of jog/run walking tomorrow. It will have to be very gentle as I am getting too old to cope with too mcuh too soon.

hattifattner · 29/02/2012 08:54

well done vajazzler - thats amazing! How do you feel, having lost all that?

WeightyKaty · 29/02/2012 10:38

Vajazzler - 7stone is magnificent!

What is your final goal and how do you keep yourself motivated?

popelloucla · 29/02/2012 11:03

Well done Vajazzler. 7 stone is fantastic. I need to lose about 3 stone, but I can't imagine ever doing it.

I'm finding it quite easy to stick to the diet at the moment.

I was awake at 4am yesterday and normally that means I spend the day eating to stop myself falling asleep, but I managed to snack on fruit and avoid the crisps I normally rely on.

I'm also staying away from the scales. WI is Friday, I'm hoping to have lost a couple of pounds, but as long as I've lost something I'll be happy.

hatti, I'm on week 5 of C25K. On Friday I have to run for 20 mins none stop. I'm not sure I can do it, but I know I'll feel good if I do.

Moodykat · 29/02/2012 11:06

Only just found this! Have been doing it for 8 weeks now and had lost 9lbs until I put 2 on again last week! I was getting too cocky though and stopped tracking so this week I am back on it! You are all doing so well, it's inspiring.

hattifattner · 29/02/2012 11:50

welcome moody, i think we all fall from the path on occassions, the trick is picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and facing the music - every day is a clean slate!

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 29/02/2012 12:24

Hello again and well done Vajazzler!

I am quite chuffed today as I have unofficially (it's not my proper WI day till Sunday) met my first goal Grin I was quite clearly under it too, so hopefully should be able to keep that up till Sunday. DH says I can't have my meeting-goal reward (new boots!) till my proper weigh-in!

This week is seeming a bit easier for some reason, even though I still don't feel up to proper exercise (still a bit short of breath) so not getting the extra points from that. But then I haven't had any big temptations so far... but got a party to go to on Saturday, so better start saving up weekly points for that!

CiderwithBuda · 29/02/2012 16:46

Hello. Well done on all losses! Especially Vajazzler. Wow. You must feel so proud. And if not you should!

I had meeting yesterday. Gained half a pound. Not too surprising as went on mad massive carb fest at weekend.

Back on track today.

MrJelly · 29/02/2012 19:49

Vajazzler wow, 7 stone is amazing - you must be so proud of yourself Smile

Moody welcome - I haven't been here long - started WW just over 2 weeks ago.

I definitely have days which are harder than others where I literally spend the day starving regardless of what I eat and others, like today, where I am not as hungry and, when I am hungry, it is not the hollow feeling that I feel other days (iyswim). The last few days I had where I was just so hungry was just before my period so am wondering if that may be linked somehow? Never really tracked it before but am going to see if there is a pattern.

Moltisanti · 29/02/2012 19:59

Wow Vajazzler! Great job!

Am quite hacked off today, I did my weigh in and i have lost less than half a pound. Its so irritating when you have watched all your food and totted all the points up for a whole week and then you get a crap weigh in. And this is only my second week back on WW!

I am wondering whether I should try a different diet. Last year when I did WW I got to 9 stone 10 and then I couldn't get any lower so I gave up. And that's exactly where I am stuck again. Might try Dukan to shift this last 10lb...

Littlefish · 01/03/2012 21:11

What great losses so many of you have had!

Special congratulations to vajazzler and Hatti.

I've managed to lost 2lbs this week so I'm really pleased. That's a total of 5 stone 2.5lbs altogether.

I will be having surgery in 7 weeks time, so I'd really like to lose another half a stone by then. 1lb a week is perfectly do-able if I track and weigh properly!

OP posts:
Vajazzler · 01/03/2012 22:23

What are you having surgery for Littlefish?

Littlefish · 01/03/2012 22:31

Gynae stuff vajazzler and I'll be off work for a couple of months which can only be bad news for my weight loss. I'm doing my best to get my BMI as close to 30 as possible before the surgey (it's currently 31).

OP posts:
Rezolution · 02/03/2012 08:33

Moltisanti That has happened to me a lot over the years. I did Slimming World about 10 years ago and got to 11st4 and then stuck. I did Lighter Life about 4 years ago and lost a stone and then stuck. It seems as if whatever diet you use it becomes less effective. Or you and your body get bored with it?
I think you need to give your body a surprise every so often to get it moving again.

hattifattner · 02/03/2012 09:41

I gave my body a surprise yesterday by stuffing it full of carbs. Blush. Oh dear oh dear, I am about to go on a nice long walk to try and repair some of the damage.

ObviouslyOblivious · 02/03/2012 09:46

Bad day yesterday! But I have enough weeklies I cover it so hopefully the effects won't be too bad :o

popelloucla · 02/03/2012 10:20

Well done Littlefish
WI this morning. Lost 1lb. So on target for my holiday.
Just got back from doing Week 5 Run 3 of C25K. Feeling quite pleased with myself, ran for 20 minutes without stopping.
This weekend is not going to be very diet friendly, but I suppose that's what the weekly points are for.
