Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

Cider Yes I agree with you about your body going into famine mode. I have started eating a little bit more now, a little and often, and usually find I have lost a bit by the end of the week. No big blow-outs but I am using my 26 points every day.

MrJelly · 25/02/2012 12:21

WI this morning - I lost 1 pound Smile so 3 pounds in total over 2 weeks. Am chuffed with that as I generally struggle to lose weight consistently on other diets (Slimming World was a disaster in that respect!) so to have a loss 2 weeks in a row is very good for me!

It has motivated me to keep going. Am having a Filling and Healthy day today Smile

clare8allthepies · 25/02/2012 12:44

Hi, WI this morning and half a pound on Sad no real surprise there, well over my points. Always do this, start off really well then after a couple of months start to get fed up and 'cheating' more and more. Trying to give myself a kick up the bum. Having lots of yummy food and drink today (using about 15 weeklies) then going to try and stay in my 26 points till Friday.

LolaLadybird · 25/02/2012 19:57

I use all my weeklies and all my activity points - as the blurb says, WW would not be sustainable without the flexibility to eat more at certain times. That said, I have lost focus over the last 2 days and gone slightly off the rails (coffee with friends yesterday morning, birthday party followed by wine in the evenings and then lunch at a friend's today). Haven't tracked any of it so will really need to get back on the straight and narrow tomorrow.

ObviouslyOblivious · 26/02/2012 07:28

Just WI. Now 9st 12st, so just over two pounds off. I'm so happy, it's the first time I've been under 10 stone in a very long time :o
Plan for this week is to increase the number of dog walks (dogs have both been on reduced activity for various health reasons) and run at least three times. Just FYI, this week I used all weeklies, but not my activity points. Good luck everyone!

LadyEmmaHamilton · 26/02/2012 12:51

WI this morning for me too - week two and I have lost two pounds, very pleased indeed. We've got two days off next week and I had said to myself that I would allow a little cheating (mostly Wine) but doing do well that I don't want to now. DH is being really supportive and positive, which helps. Although he currently weighs about my target weight and is 6'1" Hmm

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 26/02/2012 14:56

Well done Obviously and Emma!

WI for me today as well, mixed feelings. I lost another pound which is good I suppose, but I was hoping for slightly more as was doing well earlier in the week and sneaky weighings during the week seemed to suggest I might be losing more than that (am very near my first goal now so it would have been nice!).

But I was having a bit of a rubbish weekend (still not totally better, and then DH got the flu so has been in bed all weekend, so I was looking after him and the kids, and getting quite "cabin fever" too) so was a bit bad yesterday, finishing with a takeaway so that probably tipped the scales a bit! Hopefully it was just a temporary blip though. Only one more pound to lose now till I get to my first goal and can wear my new boots - hopefully next weekend...

Jnice · 27/02/2012 02:46

WI for me in the morning (Monday). I have 6 weekly points and 23 activity points left. I think it will be a miracle if I have lost.

Jnice · 27/02/2012 03:15

Actually, having read the thread I feel better Smile good info from WW there.

I think I'm feeling bad due to the homemade cod in batter. Feel icky now.

CiderwithBuda · 27/02/2012 11:22

Happy new week everyone. Well done on all loses.

I have been so bad all weekend. Have a stinking cold and spent all day Saturday eating carbs. Crap carbs. Haven't tracked anything.

Back on straight and narrow today though. Needed to go into town this morning and went into Starbucks while waiting for shops to open. Nice to be able to have something and be able to track it.

My weigh in is tomorrow so need to be extra good today.

Rezolution · 27/02/2012 11:31

WI tonight at 7pm. Am having a Tesco Light choices soup for lunch.
Then off to a friend for coffee and she makes lovely cupcakes so that will have to be my evening meal!
Tbh I usually hold off eating heavy foods until after the WI so don't drink much after 4pm. Then I buy snacks from the stall at WW and eat them while I listen to the peptalk. Wink

hattifattner · 27/02/2012 11:48

1lb off this week which means.....2 stone reached - hoorah! Really pleased because fell of the path of righteousness big tim over half term, and now feel last weeks efforts were worth while. 4lb to my next goal (14st) and then onwards into the murkey depths of 13 stone something! I had two people recognise that I had lost weight this week, and that has helped a lot - when you are bigger, it seems to take a lot more for people to see the loss.

I am very motivated at the moment - doing c25k plus walking every day plus tracking tracking tracking. I actually admitted OUT LOUD how much I weigh today in my meeting, so now i must continue! Grin

Rezolution · 27/02/2012 12:04

hatti Congratulations on reaching your 2stone!
I am "working towards" that goal atm. Lost 21 pounds so far and I am being really good today in the hope I may lose another pound tonight.
One little thing I notice about WW is that people can work out how much you weigh anyway if they are good at mental maths. EG when the leader says "Oh Mary, you have just got to your 5% tonight with a weight loss of 14 lbs" you can just double the 14lbs to 28lbs and that is 10% so then you know how much she weighed at the start. Wink Well, it helps to make me feel better!

Sanuk · 27/02/2012 14:54

Congratulations hatti Smile 2 stone is a fantastic loss.

Well, I WI on Sat (doing this online) and stayed the same. Had an indulgent week last week and an even more indulgent weekend, with DD's birthday party and lots of snacking and no tracking. Determined to bring it back on track today, but so far am resisting like norty teenager. I even had a bourbon biscuit as an 'up yours' to myself. Why I rebel against MYSELF I don't know, it is pretty tragic really, as it's me that has to live with the consequences of being heavily overweight.

It's just so hard doing this, and I want to eat what I want when I want, but that means my poor body pays the price.

Sanuk · 27/02/2012 14:57

Oh and well done to OO and Emma too! That's fab OO that you exploring new lands, weight-wise Wink

Jnice · 27/02/2012 15:48

Well done hatti (love your name - big moomins fans here Smile).

I'm doing c25k too.

2lb off this week, happy as I gained last week.

MrJelly · 27/02/2012 16:31

Well done to all the losses and a big well done to Hatti for reaching the 2-stone mark Smile Can I ask how long it has taken you?

I only want to lose 2 stone and would be over the moon if I ever get there - I will be in the realms of 11-stone something which I haven't been pre-DS1 Grin

MrJelly · 27/02/2012 16:34

Just treated myself to a Double Decker Blush and expected it to be high in points as it is quite dense and chocolatey - only 6 points Shock

ObviouslyOblivious · 27/02/2012 17:23

lalalalalala I can't hear you talking about double deckers MrJelly :o

hattifattner · 27/02/2012 18:32

I started in June, so its taken 8 months? I would have liked it to be faster, but I did have 2 months off over Christmas Blush. sanuk - I hear you - I am my own worst enemy. But something seems to have clicked this last week and I feel more focussed - maybe just having the odd week off here and there rejuvenates us? Thats my excuse anyway! Grin.

Vajazzler · 27/02/2012 18:36

Well done Hatti! You must be on a roll now! Well done. It's nice isn't it when people start recognising your efforts and commenting on your losses. It wasn't until I got to about 5 stone loss that I started getting comments.

maxpower · 27/02/2012 20:35

WI today - after losing nothing for 3 weeks, I lost 4lb this week - hooray! About damn time. TBH I think I'd have given up if I hadn't lost something this week. I felt as if I was starving myself to get there (obv I wasn't, I was eating but it felt like such a little amount). So I'm feeling motivated to stick to it this week. I also had to do my belt up on one loop smaller at the weekend which felt really good.

well done everyone on your losses, especially hatti - you're fast becoming my hero!

Sanuk · 27/02/2012 23:12

Max - it's so weird how weight loss works sometimes, doesn't it? You've basically lost 1lb for each of those 4 weeks of trying, but it's all condensed into the last week. Odd. But so glad something shifted (so to speak!) for you.
When I've lost weight in the past, I've always felt very triumphant when I've had to go up in belt notches; it's a tangible measure. Well done Smile

Rezolution · 28/02/2012 09:12

What does c25k mean? Just being nosey.
Went to Weigh In and had a good result - 1 and 1/2 pounds off. So now am 11stone 7pounds.
Had a few goodies from WW to celebrate - they are so nice even the DCs like them.
Am off for my daily walk soon and plan to go back to swimming now I have the car back.

hattifattner · 28/02/2012 09:23

rez, c25k is COuch to 5km - a programme over 8-9 weeks designed to get you running 3 x a week - you can get a free podcast from NHS.

Starts with 60s running, 90s walking - eventually builds up to 30 mins running.

Im only on week 2, but if I can haul my enormous body down the road, anyone can!
