Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

Evening all, I climbed back on the panda today, and started tracking again so I can get back in the the 'free zone'. I've done ok, I find it hard that when I started last year I was allowed 29pp a day and now it's 26. I think I've had 28 today but not sure about the phillie choc cheese! Does anyone know? I had a mini pot with carrs water biscuits for a snack.

I know what you mean about the WW branded stuff, they sometimes have it in pound shops if the price puts you off. I find I'm better without having a box of treats I just want one everyday (or the whole box!) and often it's just wasted points I don't really 'need' the treat.

Hi, chocolate philly 2 points for a mini tub (30g) I've been having one of these with fruity ryvita for breakfast yum!

Couple of points under my daily today (not really planned that way but didn't really see the point in eating something if I wasn't hungry just to use up the points) Will be using some weeklies tomorrow for pancakes with DD!

Vajazzler · 21/02/2012 08:10

I've been really good this week. Used none of my weeklies and a couple of days had some dailies left. I do have 41 a day though! Am wearing size 20 clothes today Shock i havent fitted in size 20 since pre-dc. A decade of fatness gone!

My local tesco's arent stocking chocolate philly which is probably a good thing for me.

Hi all.

Vajazzler - well done on the size 20! You must be pleased!

I was really good yesterday. Missing breakfast as I felt crap helped! DS is doing cookery at school in DT and they made tortillas filled with peppers and onions with some creme Fraiche and grated cheese on top and he brought it home. He picked most of the cheese off in the car on they way home and I had the rest for dinner. It was very nice. He was able to tell me quantities so I was able to work out points. Will have to get him to make it for me again.

Weigh in today. Will be happy to have stayed the same which will mean I have lost the gain from last weeks half term pigging out.

I discovered that chocolate Philly at the weekend! Nice! Had some on an oatcake with a little no added sugar peanut butter - was a bit like one of those Reeses peanut butter cups.

I was planning on walking down to WW this morning but I have DS off school sick so won't be able to. I will leave him home while I go to the meeting but wouldnt leave him for long.

Planning on making soup for lunch and veg curry for dinner so I can have a pancake.

Well done Cider! How much have you lost in total?

DH and I are going out for a four course Blush meal tonight - we got a voucher for a really good deal at a posh hotel restaurant. I am just going to go for it, as it's not like this happens every week and I do like a nice cheeseboard. I'm trying to be really good today though, but know that I will probably end up over my points this week.

Btw, I should find out myself on the site, but can you carry points over from day to day, i.e. your dailies, or can't you do that on PP?

I'm also going to earn some bonus exercise points.

LolaLadybird · 21/02/2012 13:16

Well done Cider on the loss and Vajazzler on the size 20 - nothing more motivational than getting into smaller clothes. Smile

Sanuk- you can't carry over your daily points with PP, the theory being that that is what your weekly points are for. Have a lovely meal tonight.

Report
CiderwithBuda · 21/02/2012 15:07

Thanks Sanuk. 9 pounds off so far. Still a long way to go!

Enjoy your meal out tonight. Take it as using all your weeklies and then up the activity and water drinking till next weigh in.

And thanks Lola.

Congrats to Cider and Vajazzler!

Weigh in for me tomorrow. I stuck within my points allowance and exercised for at least twenty mins a day. The major thing I want to lose is some more fat off my tum, I have a major blubbery tummy since having ds last year. Am a size 12 at the moment, aiming for a ten as I was a few years back.

My face low point snack is a couple of Crackerwheat with butter. Three points total.

Two people now have said to me that I look great (after losing 3 stone) and that they don't think I should lose more ("gaunt" has been mentioned!)

I'm still hoping to lose about another stone, but this will take me to a weight that I was at in my late teens (over 10 years ago). It is a realistic weight for my height, and at the moment my bmi is still overweight.

I'm still going to keep going, am I mad? These people don't see me naked; they don't see the belly and flabby arms!

chocolatespiders · 21/02/2012 23:13

vajazzler- Curly wurlys are 3 pp. if you like the WW toffee bars you will prob like these, much cheaper and last longer eaten from the freezer

Report
CiderwithBuda · 22/02/2012 10:09

Obv - do you think you are gaunt? Do you think that that goal weight will be sustainable? Are you exercising? Belly and flabby arms can be helped by exercise. Have you tried Jillian Michaels Shred? Supposed to be fab for quick results.

Report
ObviouslyOblivious · 22/02/2012 10:19

Personally I don't think I'm gaunt, I think people have got so used to me being at least a stone over what I should be that I just look different! It's really come off my face so i do look quite different. Plus I seem to carry weight well even though I'm short so people never believe what I weigh - even when I was fat!

I've tried the shred and loved it, but I have an ongoing back problem and it didn't suit me :( I walk the dogs for about an hour and a half each day and run when I can fit it in.

Report
CiderwithBuda · 22/02/2012 14:02

I have two dogs that I should walk for that long but I don't. Poor neglected dogs.

Anyway... Shame about your back issues. Be careful with the running in case that exacerbates it.

A friend of mine recommended a toning place near us called Tonacise - are there any of them near you? I joined but have only been once so far. Aiming to go 3 times a week. It only takes 20 mins.

Just did my week one weigh in, 3lb lost.

I am not sure how much weight to lose. I am in the healthy BMI range. I am a dress size bigger than I was at my slimmest, five years ago and before I had ds. Is it realistic to try and aim for being that size again, or shall I just be happy at my size 12 now I am in my mid thirties etc?

I think if I didn't have a paunch from having ds I would probably be happy at this size, but I hate my wobbly spare tyre gut.

Well done Molt! 3lb is great.

I had a similar problem with setting my goal weight as I was only slightly over the bmi range but a lot bigger than the 'usual me'. I just decided to aim for my pre-pregnancy weight to start with. But I've warned DH that I may keep going depending on how I feel when I get there. As far as I understand the target is not set in stone!

Report
clare8allthepies · 22/02/2012 20:03

Well done on the losses! I don't really know about targets either, my healthy weight for my height (5 foot 2) is 7 11 to 9 11. I've set myself an initial target of about 9 stone and if when I get to it will see how I feel then.

Well done to those that have lost weight this week Smile

I am doing WW online so weigh in on Saturdays (don't have any scales at home so I weigh myself on the ones at the gym).

Week been good so far - did eat a little bit too much over the weekend but have clawed it back so far this week.

Lola thanks for the advice about fruit and protein. I am not a big fruit eater but do make an effort if I am dieting but quite often, fruit just doesn't fill the gaping hole that appears to be my stomach. I also do eat quite a lot of protein (a leftover habit from a failed Slimming World attempt) but sometimes I just cannot fill myself up - I don't know anyone who has an appetite like mine Sad

I think it is just a case of mind over matter for me and I need to conquer this. My target is my DSis's wedding in mid-May and I need to lose at least a stone before then to fit in a lovely brand new dress that is hanging in my wardrobe Grin

trinity - tomorrow is another day - just forget today and begin afresh tomorrow with a smile!

No loss here this week - combo of TOTM AND half term and too much cake and not enough exercise!! Have put it behind me and been back on track this week. I need to get back into the habit of writing down when and what I eat as that makes a difference for me.

Well done to the lovely losses this week!
