Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

mmm that prawn and chilli philly pasta sounds yummy!

I find lunches quite hard, at my new work there's no microwave and I don't find that salads fill me up enough and sandwiches are too costly in terms of points.

Recently I've got a flask and make either a 0 point soup (roast tomato, red pepper and chilli this week) and have it with a small roll or some WW bread, or a low ish point soup with somthing like chickpeas or lentils and have that but on it's own with no bread.

Last day of the week and still got 21 daily and 18 weekly points left (a vast improvement on recent weeks) feel a tasty dinner and wine coming on! Grin

TrinityRhino · 17/02/2012 13:39

I didn't have anything after ,y last post, instead I went for a brisk walk for 30 mins, warmed me right up and a big glass of no sugar squash on my return and I dont feel starving anymore

that veg roast thing is a great idea, I hadn't thought of, thanks Smile

Moltisanti · 17/02/2012 15:30

Hello, can I join in?

I did WW last year and lost 2 stone on pro points. I have recently put half a stone on though, and I still have a blubbery post baby tummy, so am back on WW with the aim of losing maybe a stone if I can, and also doing some exercise to tone up my tummy.

old bag, I like the vege roast idea.

Why is it when I am on WW that all I can think about is fish and chips?

Sanuk · 17/02/2012 18:38

Hello all and welcome to any new bods!

It was all going well and now it's sliding fast towards going wrong.

I've had an emotionally difficult week, and a stressful and busy past few days juggling looking after kids while trying to do work in the evening. And my points are disappearing at an alarming rate!

A new week starts afresh tomorrow, I just need to hang in there.

Please someone, keep me on the straight and narrow Wink Any motivating tips/tellings-off must welcome.

TrinityRhino · 17/02/2012 22:42

ok well i messed up I've had two glasses of wine and some indian
not a creamy sauce though and not a lot but I did have a couple of poppadoms with it and a few tablespoons of rice

I have no idea what to point it as though and cant find anything on the site, I want to try and point it and move on iyswim

it was a hiccup, I'm gonna get back on the panda as it were Smile

Thanks, Oldbag Smile

I did have a ridiculously indulgant dinner - a lasagne meant for 2 really, that came in at 20 PP Blush. BUT I had enough points left over. Weigh in tomorrow, and I haven't used up all of my Weekly points OR my bonus exercise points, so take THAT excess fat. I will get rid of ye, oh yes.

And yy to getting arms out. Lordy, lordy.

Willabywallaby · 18/02/2012 07:52

I'm too scared to go to weigh in at the moment. I'm sure I'll be over my 5lb over goal and don't want to pay. On the other hand I have been spinning 3 times in the last week, so my exercise is getting back on track.

Off to visit friends today for the weekend, so I'm determined to stick to it for the next fortnight to shift a couple of pounds and be able to go back to class.

androbbob · 18/02/2012 08:12

morning ! Didnt get to WI this week due to half term and being out and a out with the kids. Been eating cake all bloomin week though as was DS birthday on tues and then cake in work and cake last weekend at mums house as brother was up with nieces! No excuse really! Back on track now though.

Less than two weeks to Center Parcs yeah and then next event is an easter wedding! Next week expecting a STS at WI.

Vajazzler · 18/02/2012 08:14

I would looove an indian havent had a proper indian since i joined. I have no life at all as im terrified of putting the weight back on. I never have a takeaway. The rest of the family do and i just make myself something else later on. I never drink or let my hair down. If i cant have it out of my daily points then i dont have it. I'm a bit of a loser really.

Willabywallaby · 18/02/2012 08:26

The WW chicken sag is very good, even DH likes it, although I don't with a tin of tomatoes not fresh and cook it for longer.

thanks oldbag, I've pointed and tracked it and jumped back on the panda this morning

vajazzler, I'm sad reading your post too

you are supposed to use your weekly too
and takeaways aren;t as bas as to ruin everything (I'm a case in point Smile)

small portions, non creamy sauces, poppadums instead of nan

clare8allthepies · 18/02/2012 12:50

Hi all, weigh in day and 2 more pounds off! That's 15 altogether with about 20 to go!

I think if you don't treat yourself occasionally you'd get pretty sick of this diet in no time at all. Last week I ended up with 5 weekly points left and that's more than usual!

I seem to lose more if I have a few really good days (under my 26 daily) and a few blow out day (12-18 points over) than if I just have a few extra every day, even though the total points are the same iykwim?

Good luck everyone Smile

TrinityRhino · 18/02/2012 13:03

woohooo well done clare, keep it up Grin

Vajazzler · 18/02/2012 13:42

It makes me sad too. I know I can use my weeklies if I want to but my self control in the face of adversity is zero and I know that if I had a blowout I might never recover from it. I'm so focused on getting to goal that I'm scared of losing control of the situation. I've never been this focused before. I've done slimming world a few times lose 2 stone put 3 back on again. Did this couple if times. Now here I am and I'm so afraid of putting the weight back on.

Vajazzler · 18/02/2012 13:43

Well done Claire!

Vajazzler · 18/02/2012 13:43

Sorry that should be Clare Blush

maxpower · 18/02/2012 13:44

well done clare

vajazzler I don't know how you even manage to stay under the daily points allowance - I think I've only managed it once and that was because I had a really busy morning and skipped breakfast. But really, it sounds as though you're terrified of losing control Sad Did you have an idea of the person you wanted to be or the kind of life you wanted to have before you started losing weight? Are you on your way to being her/there?

I have yet another cold. It must be down to DC2 staring day nursery as I had exactly the same thing happen when DC1 started nursery. Just hope I don't have a 6 month bout of colds like I did last time round.

put on 1lb at WI this week - I was a bit annoyed because I hadn't really had a massive blow out or anything. All I can say for this week is thank god for activity points!

Vajazzler · 18/02/2012 13:58

MaxPower my daily allowance is currently 41 pp. Its not difficult to stick to that amount of points. I have been very overweight for a long time. Since I was 14/15 and I'm now 32. I have no idea who the real me is she never really developed. As I lose weight I can feel her slowly emerging but it's a slow process.

CiderwithBuda · 18/02/2012 14:32

Hi all. Can I join in?

Started WW 5 weeks ago at 17 st 1.5 lbs Blush

Lost 7.5 lbs but have been away this week for half term and despite great intentions was really bad most of the time and I have put 3lbs back on. Grrr. All my own fault. Too much bread and wine basically.

I am on 34 points and always use them and my extras. Not doing any exercise yet either.

I go to meetings on Tuesdays so would like this week to have stayed the same. So need to be really good to shift the 3lb gain.

So resolutions now are to meal plan properly, stick to weak white wine sodas and exercise every day. A girl at the meetings I go to was saying she met someone recently who lost 6 stone in a year by doing Wii Fit for 30 mins every day.

Vajazzler - well done on your achievement so far. I understand that you would be a bit afraid to change what is working so well now.

TrinityRhino · 18/02/2012 14:52

hi cider, course you can Smile

ok, is it best to keep tracking even though i'm going to end up over my allowance by the end of the week?
i guess it is isn't it

CiderwithBuda · 18/02/2012 15:43

Thanks Trinity. Smile

Yes - keep tracking. Keeps you sort of focussed and shows you your problem times. Mine seem to be weekends. The tracking tails off on Friday nights due to too much wine and curry! Then the saturday morning hangover feeding frenzy. Etc.

Am contemplating giving up booze for lent for worried i would just be setting myself up for a failure.
