Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

Littlefish Congrats on getting rid of that cyst. I expect it has been holding back your weight loss. Well done. Smile
I am on a "maintain" this week. Got weighed on Monday and was still 11st 4lbs. Sad Still, you get weeks like this so I am plodding on with exercise and diet.

Rezolution · 25/04/2012 14:09

Debs Just read your post about Couch25k. I am on week 5 this week (repeated week 4 last week) but do not fancy the 5mins jogging in this rain. Maybe I can put it off till tomorrow. Went swimming this morning instead.

Debs75 · 27/04/2012 11:47

Lost another 1lb today which takes me under 15stone at last.
Had a cadburys creme egg to celebrate.
I have decided to give myself Fridays and Saturdays off and then be stricter from Sunday to Thursday night. Thursdays are my hardest so far, I think because I have WI first thing Friday morning I am eager for a treat. Have managed to hold off so far.

Made a lovely cauliflower soup this week for my lunches, only 2 points a serving and it was lovely.
Just need to pick a soup to make next week now

hellsbells76 · 27/04/2012 12:59

Congratulations on being

KKKKaty · 27/04/2012 13:52

Quick question - on the points tracker the points values are sometimes in a box. When this is green, it's part of the filling and healthy list. But what does it mean if there's just a blue box round the bottom and it's not filled in green? Or if there's no blue box at all?

Debs75 · 27/04/2012 15:22

Curried butternut squash soup soundsw nice, is the recipe on the WW website?
I loved the creme egg. I'm on another period so am choc and carb hunting today

KKKKATY No idea sorry

Rezolution · 27/04/2012 15:44

KKKaty Don't think it matters about the box - just whatever propoints it says. Grren box is best really I suppose because they fill you up for longer (so they say) Also there is a button to click on your Favourite foods (just above) where you can wipe out all the ones that are not filling and healthy and just leave the really good stuff behind (that's for saintly people) Wink
Debs Well done! I am still hovering round the 11st 3lbs so have to be specially good until Monday WI now. At WI I buy goodies from the stall and eat them straight after being weighed. That way it does not show up on the next week's weight so much, it's only what I eat on Sunday and Monday that makes a huge difference iyswim.

KKKKaty · 29/04/2012 08:31

Well, weigh in for me this morning - another two pounds off! The week I decided I was not going to use any of my weeklies I only lost one pound. Each of the last two weeks I've used lots/almost all of my weeklies and lost two pounds each week. Bizarre, but obviously I'm quite happy with that! So ten pounds off now in the first five weeks, and only a pound each week to lose to get to goal before my target date in August. But obviously it will get harder the nearer I get, so I'm not going to get complacent.

Rezolution · 29/04/2012 09:16

KKKKaty Well done! I am still "hovering" 11stone 2lbs this morning but I always put on 2-3 lbs by the time I get to WI tomorrow night. It must be all the cups of tea/coffee I drink during the day.

CiderwithBuda · 29/04/2012 09:46

Hi all.

KKKKaty - well done!

Rezolution - fingers crossed you get the result you want tomorrow.

Debs - well done on getting under that 15 stone mark! When are you starting C25K? I am hoping to start it too. Was going to wait till I got to 15 stone but may start earlier. Well if this rain ever stops!

I have been very very good this week. DH was away so didn't have my usual wine at night. I keep telling him he drives me to drink! Haven't been walking though as had DS off school sick and when I can go it is pouring down. I have a cross trainer which is still not unpacked from our move back to UK last summer. Will get that organized and set up this week.

Happy Sunday and hope the rain goes away!

Rezolution · 29/04/2012 11:28

Cider The weather in UK certainly does not help us with our weight loss or fitness. I usually jog/walk on Sundays but it is still chucking it down here in North Wales.
Get the cross-trainer set up soon! Am very [envious]

Rezolution · 29/04/2012 11:29

Envy I meant

CiderwithBuda · 29/04/2012 12:02

Well I have to admit that I have had it 7 years and have used it about ten times! Blush

But am determined to get it set up and get into routine of using it whenever I can't walk.

Debs75 · 29/04/2012 13:13

Cider maybe when the weather improves.
I hate days like this, coupled with a period I just want to eat to stave off the cold and boredom. I try healthy stuff but usually am so depressed I don't care what goes in. Still having a shepherds pie for tea so that should fill me up without being too bad. I'm making it myself which should stave off some boredom. Then making a zero point soup for next week

FlouncyMcFlouncer · 29/04/2012 15:19

Well, I am approaching the end of my first week and have stuck within points really well - even when faced with a buffet table at last night's birthday party! It helped that there was NO sweet stuff on the buffet - although, seriously? No sweet stuff? Who puts NO sweet stuff on a buffet???

CiderwithBuda · 29/04/2012 15:22

Grin. Someone who is more into savory? Or someone who is being unknowingly helpful!

When is your weigh in?

FlouncyMcFlouncer · 29/04/2012 15:35

Someone with no soul.... Grin

My weigh in is tomorrow evening. If I haven't lost four stone in my first week all toys are going out of the pram.

FlouncyMcFlouncer · 30/04/2012 20:21

Well, I am gutted. I lost nothing. Stuck to the plan all week, even at that sodding buffet. Tracked and counted EVERYTHING. The world is mean.

CiderwithBuda · 30/04/2012 20:28

oh no! Flouncy I am sorry. Very demotivating.

Did the leader have any suggestions?

Do you want to post your food diary and see if anyone on here has any suggestions?

FlouncyMcFlouncer · 30/04/2012 20:58

She went through my journal with me and agreed that I had done everything correctly, and couldn't offer me an answer. Just 'maybe you'll have a good loss next week'.

My food diary is massive - I get 50 points a day! It would take forever to post it all, but thanks anyway. I probably just need to get a bit more active or something.

hoops997 · 30/04/2012 21:02

Hello all,

I've just started WW and need a bit of help, do you use all of your 49 weekly points or do you see them as a treat? I've managed to use 45 of them so far and am worried that I won't get a weight loss on my first week Blush

Littlefish · 30/04/2012 21:11

Flouncy - I had good weight loss the first week I started, but then absolutely nothing the second week. I was gutted. Like you, I had followed the programme to the letter and stuck to my points. There really wasn't an explanation for it. Previously, that would have been enough to make me go on a binge and give up. However, I stuck with it and went back to losing weight the following week.

Please trust that it will work. It really does! I started off on 42 daily points but am now down to 31 daily points as I've lost over 5 stone.

OP posts:
hoops997 · 30/04/2012 21:21

littlefish that's amazing, well done! I've been given 26 daily points but just can't leave chocolate alone, that's where all my weekly pp have gone, I have 2 stone to lose and keep off Smile

FlouncyMcFlouncer · 30/04/2012 21:25

Thanks guys, I will stick with it.

Rezolution · 01/05/2012 09:24

Hi Flouncy and hoops Welcome to this thread.
Well, make the most of your first week. That is when you lose the most weight.
No, I never use the 49 points but that is different for each individual body. Tbh I never use my 26 points as I find if I do that I just maintain - but that is my body. I am using 20-23 points a day and try to earn 4 extra activity points as well and never use them either. My body really likes to hang on to the last few poiunds and now I am finding if hard to lose any at all.
Had a WI last night and big surprise - 2lbs off.Grin
That means I am 11stone 2lbs and have lost 2 stones in total.
