Just thought I'd start a new thread before the old one filled up. Looking forward to seeing everyone on here before too long....

WI today. Lost half a kilo even though it was my birthday this week! All my running must be working :)

Rezolution · 08/04/2012 15:51

obviously well done. I am trying hard to get those last few pounds off. Am now trying to use just my 26 daily points and maybe a few activity points. Have changed my account on my tracking page. You don't have to touch weekly points at all, do you? Stick at it everyone. Smile

CiderwithBuda · 08/04/2012 16:53

Happy Easter everyone! Walk away from the chocolate!

Well done on losses.

Not a great week for me as was away and despite all good intentions I didn't exercise and ate and drank too much. Bit of a chocolate and carb fest for a few days.

Have my dad here visiting now too although was very good yesterday. Went out for lunch today and am still stuffed.

Dreading weigh in on Tuesday. And MIL may be coming to stay on Wednesday which will make it hard too. Aargh. Lots of zero, point soup and fruit is needed I think.

MyNameIsAnEggBunnyToYa · 08/04/2012 23:26

Hi all!

Have decided I am having a week off [bugrin] Been visiting family for Easter and couldn't easily track stuff, plus I wanted to actually be able to enjoy my mum's cooking and Easter eggs. So going to start again Tuesday I think - I'm signed up for a bootcamp thing in the evening so that will be a good incentive!

Weirdly enough though, on my mum's scales I was really light this morning - they are usually quite reliably about 2lb under actual weight, but I came in quite a bit lighter than on our scales even taking that into account, and after breakfast too Confused So am intrigued to see whether there's been any change next time I get back on our scales! I have not deserved any though, except maybe in upwards direction! [buwink]

Debs75 · 09/04/2012 14:11

That damn [busmile] I ate a whole galaxy egg,30points, over 2 days so that won't help my WI on Friday.
And I have a chocolate bunhny to eat + the 3 galaxy bars which camne with the egg. I have hidden them at the back opf the cupboard so I have to be very determind to wade through the bags of clothes and stacks of nappies to eat them.
Going to eat soup and salad and fruit in the hope of negating the egg. I am also wishing for some good weather so I can get out and do some walking, I want to do the couch to 5k when I feel upto it but need to ease into it with some hardcore walking first, the poor dog will be knackered

Rezolution · 09/04/2012 14:22

I am plodding on. Baths closed so will have to go jogging later on. Keeping to my tracking and no chocolate.

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 09/04/2012 23:17

Bootcamp tomorrow eve, bit scared [bushock] and hoping it's not chucking it down!

At least that should burn off a little bit of all the eggs and cake and crisps...

PS who knew service stations now have Krispy Kreme doughnuts?!

Rezolution · 10/04/2012 15:31

Myname be careful at Bootcamp. Is it one of those army style ones? Watch it cos they might push you too hard. Put your health first! Good luck

CiderwithBuda · 10/04/2012 18:00

Weigh in today. Almost didn't go as was sure I had gained. Lost 3lbs!!! Very chuffed.

Obviously wasn't as bad as I thought I was.

Under 16 stone now. Grin

ObviouslyOblivious · 10/04/2012 18:16

That's great Cider well done!

Debs75 · 10/04/2012 18:23

Managed to stop at 1 easter egg and 2 easter [busmile]s they were very yummy but I did feel a little sick afterwards.
Am getting back on track now, no more chocolate. TBH I wasn't really missing it, or the cream cakes. It is cheese for me and easy fattening cheap food, dieting is so expensive.
WI on Friday and am hoping to have stayed the same[buhmm] I don't think so but you never know
At least Easter is over so no big troffing sessions now until Christmas

deaconred · 10/04/2012 20:05

hi vajazzler
how many points did you start offwith at the beginning

Rezolution · 10/04/2012 21:09

Cider Well done! 3lbs off! Envy

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 10/04/2012 22:25

Well done Cider, that's fab!

Well I survived the bootcamp, it was flipping hard but I kept going! Actually I wasn't too bad at the resistance-type bits, but running and stair-climbing was v hard, haven't run for ages cos of my sore feet. I got 8 activity points for it though! 7 more sessions to use, so I might be back on Thursday. It was quite nice exercising by the sea, even though was feeling about to die Grin

CiderwithBuda · 11/04/2012 10:05

Thanks guys! Grin

It was over two weeks but included being away and then Easter. One night while in Dublin I had a Cornetto, a mini magnum, a club milk and a Breakaway plus a packet of crisps and a bottle of wine!!!! Talk about gluttony. Blush

Other than that binge I was fairly good though. We went out for lunch on Easter Sunday and I had tomato soup to start which filled me up and then I didn't feel the need to pig put on the main course. Dessert was half a cadburys creme egg. Had one hot cross bun over Easter.

I am focussing on little targets to spur me on. A pound and a half off this week will take be to a 20 pound loss so far. Two and a half would be better but not sure I can do that.

I really want to be 14 stone before our holiday which I can do if I lose 2 pounds a week for next 13 weeks. I think that will be hard but not impossible.

CiderwithBuda · 11/04/2012 10:07

Inigo - well done on the bootcamp! I feel sick just thinking about it! I need to up my exercise.

DancingRoundTheKitchen · 11/04/2012 19:14

Hello everyone, please can I join in?
I've joined ww online today and am determined to loose the weight!
My weight has been up & down most of my adult life. At my heaviest I was nearly 14 stone but got down to 8 stone 8lbs for my wedding. Eight years and three children later I am 12 stone and am aiming to loose 3 stone.
Any tips, advice, support would be very gratefully received!

Rezolution · 12/04/2012 08:28

Hi Dancing WElcome to the thread. Advice? Well, make sure you have lots of salad and healthy stuff like fruit in the fridge ready so you are less tempted to eat kitkats or crisps. The Poundland shop has some WW stuff and there is other stuff at the supermarkets which is healthy eating too - all the supermarkets do their own brand. I track my points online every morning. you just go on the ww website and log in. It cuts out all the filling in and totting up.

Debs75 · 12/04/2012 15:14

Had a Legarro pizza last night at Pizza Express which was delicious and well worth the 10 points. The choc fudge cake was even nicer but 11 points is too much, I won't have it again. Still had a real good day as I had salad for lunch and managed to snack on salad and fruit during the day.

I'm starting to notice a change in my appetite and I'm not craving food like I used to. Yes I did eat a full easter egg but I don't want the choc bars which came with it, maybe I can only eat egg shaped chocolate nowHmm

WI tomorrow and I have had a sneaky weigh already and it looks like another loss, the eggs will jump on nest weeks. I need to track more as I keep forgetting with the dc's hogging the computer

DancingRoundTheKitchen · 12/04/2012 17:31

Thanks Rezolution.
I've done WW before but not done it online before - it is so good! Can feel myself getting a bit obsessed with it though!
When I did WW last time you didn't get a weekly allowance. Was wondering, does anyone use them and still loose weight?

Rezolution · 12/04/2012 18:54

Dancing Well, these 49 weekly points are supposed to be for occasions like Saturday night meal and wine. I don't use them at all, just stick to the 26 points every day. Some days I don't use all 26, because there is a fine line between weight loss and weight gain for me. I find it hard to just maintain. Also I never use my activity points either, just put them in out of habit really. You are supposed to do something active every day so I just do it for that really. Brew

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 12/04/2012 22:37

I am the opposite, I generally use all my weekly and activity points, spread through the week - could never manage to stick to just 26 points a day! And I still mostly lose weight (slowly) when I stick to that - only trouble is sometimes I go above that too! Still got a way to go on the "adjusting my appetite" thing I guess...

DancingRoundTheKitchen · 13/04/2012 07:42

Thanks, I guess I'll find out what suits me. I suppose it helps if you can have a guilt free treat at the weekend!

Debs75 · 13/04/2012 13:30

Well my wi was a stay the same which considering the fudge cake and the choc eggs I am pretty pleased about. I will try harder next week and am getting some new trainers to encourage me to walk more and maybe even run.

I spent my weekly points on easter eggs this week but I try not to use them if I can, I don't add my active points on either. I have trouble sticking to below 40 points a day so am dreading getting to below 30. Well not really as that will mean I have lost a couple of stone

hellsbells76 · 13/04/2012 19:24

Hello - please can I join in too? Started WW online this week and it's going well so far, I'm not craving food and I like the flexibility. I'm 5'8" and 13st 7lbs, would ideally like to get down to around 11st eventually. I work odd shifts so can't commit to regular meetings, and I'm a bit of an iphone addict so it works for me. Feeling quite positive and like I might actually shift the lard this time!

I've made a few recipes from the WW website and they've all been delicious - red lentil soup (7 points), spinach and coriander soup (2 points, even fussy DD thought that was delicious) and spaghetti carbonara (13 points but so lush I could easily have eaten three times as much - didn't though!)

What recipes from the website does everyone else recommend?
